Maybe we should bring tissues and stress balls for our opponents, lol.

I think I have found a match up worse than burn...Turbo Mill. My god, I didn't have a prayer, lol. Not that I expect it to be a constant presence, but I couldn't even figure any way of beating it.

I tried the search option, but I don't know why it keeps saying no result, but can anyone tell me if leyline of Sanctity or void are good sideboard options?

*waiting for someone to yell out Orcish Spy!!!*

lol. seriously. We really don't want creatures messing our consistency and making it easier for the opponent to interact with us. Spellskite is ok because it passes the bolt test, protects our main artifacts, hoses various tier decks single handed, its an excellent blocker, its recurrable and puts us in a better spot against burn among other tricky features it brings to the table. Everything else just looks good in theory. In future sets maybe some creature will come up to steal a spot in the deck, but I think we've already discussed every viable creature and found them lacking. Even Spellskite was for a long time relegated to the sideboard.

edit: the other creature some lists run is Trinket Mage because it does not need to stay on the field to do what we want it to do, fetch our 1cmc pieces. It also chump blocks. But at 3cmc most people prefer other alternatives like A.Stirrings, F.Lootings, I.Tutor. or others.

I understand that. I was just wondering about a creature that fit the theme. I realize the fragility and mana intensivness, but I thought the redundancy might be worth it.

One more card I have a question about is Lurking Informant. It seems like it might help, but it is a little slow.

Since the RC generally states that the banlist does not mean much and that the local communities need to regulate themselves I would do away with the banlist completely to be honest except for cards that break the format rules -> Conspiracies, Ante Cards and maybe cards like Serra Ascendant and Felidar Sovereign that expect starting life to be 20.
If someone shows up with a broken Braids deck you can still throw him out of your round.

I realize that tournament events still need a banlist but they could set it up themselves.

If it came to it I would say that they should ban
    Mana Crypt
    Contamination
    Fetchlands outside of commander colors

and maybe some of the worst infinite combo offenders -> Buried Alive, Mikaeus

You can't have it like that. If you have each tourney make their own ban list, how could someone show up that isn't a regular? How would you run side events at large tourneys? It just wouldn't work.

Why can't people just play with like minded people. If you don't like it, get new people to play with. If you can't do that, then tough. I just watched someone scoop when a prophet came out. WTF. He didn't even try. I like it when people play broken decks, then when I win, it feels that much better.
The RC is doing a great job. Are there cards I wish were banned? Yes, but I'm not going to have a tantrum about it. Prophet is very easy to stop. If it lasts one turn, then your games are not running removal.

Most of the time, you want to play Survival of the Fittest in your Green based deck, I see no reason, nor argument for that matter, against that. Graveyard recursion, artifact / land / enchantment hate / token generation / ramp / card draw / mana doubling: There's nothing this color can't do with its absurd creatures and tons of acceleration, nothing! These are all effects attached to some of Greens best cards. Why would you not like to get them early on and start a simply engine of recursion powered by Genesis for instance? There's other was to do it as well, but all in all, this is a card that bypasses onе of the ideas behind the format, by making games identical. Sure, all tutors do that more or less, but non of those is an enchantment for 1G, that can be activated as much as you like for just one G and fetch you whatever stupid critter you need for the current board state. Over and over again.

When was the last time you were playing and someone casted survival before turn 4 and immediately won the game or locked everyone else out of the game?

Tutors that do win you the Game before turn 4: Vampiric Tutor, Demonic Tutor, Mystical Tutor, Enlightened Tutor, Imperial Seal
Tutors that don't: Survival of the Fittest, Numerous others.

Survival of the Fittest is a powerful, cheap, engine, and occasionally a reanimator combo enabler. If you or your playgroup are having trouble turning off someones engine then theres an easy fix:
    Run responses

Its an enchantment FFS. Its not like you have to run blue or black to interact with it like with instants/sorceries. The fact that it is a permanent hurts it more than helps it. Every single color has an answer to this card. Even red. Chaos Warp.

    To recap:
    1. Survival is not as fast as many of the other tutors in the format.
    2. It is easier to respond to compared to other tutors.
    3. It requires the additional cost of discard, which excludes it from some tricolor or dual-color decks.
    4. It does not win games as often as other tutors do.

Edit: Also, things green can't do...
Counter spells. Kill creatures outside of "fighting" them. Look at your hand. Make you discard your hand. Tutor for anything but creatures and lands. Steal other player's permanents.

    Etc.

Outside of AN and HD, what is winning before T4?

How about you find a group that plays like you do. In my store we have to groups, competitive and casual. Some bounce between them. If the decks aren't to your liking, then don't play those people.
Are you really angry because of combo, or that you didn't get to cast your really expensive creature you just put in your deck. I find that most people complain about control and such because they don't get to do what they want.
