Just a fun little idea I had since I was bored. Originally it was a UB planeswalker with focuses on discard with the ultimate being "Your opponent gains an emblem with "Your maximum hand size is 0" " and a -2 with "Whenever a creature is put into an opponents graveyard this turn , gain a 2/2 zombie" but I couldn't find a way to get + ability that synergises without breaking it. It was a card meant to be played in UB control builds with some synergy with mill.
Anyway the card eventually evolved into what you will see. Please do give constructive criticism as I like making Create-a-Cards for fun.
Felkrath of the Occult
1UBR
+2 Gain a 0/4 Red/Black Shackled Demon with Defender.
-2 Felkrath deals 2 damage divided as you choose among one or two target creatures and/or players. Draw a card.
-7 All demons you control gain +8/+0 gain Trample and lose Defender.
"Without a doubt, Delirium Skeins is the strongest spell in this deck. Forcing your opponent to discard three cards for three mana is immensely powerful; you'd be surprised how many decks have three cards in hand on turn 3. Moreover, my whole hand is dedicated to getting them out of cards, so it's often the most efficient way to "spend" my hand. Lay out two or three The Rack effects and let 'er rip! More than any other spell, you can see the despair on their face as they mutter, "Okay, it resolves," and place a neat stack of cards in the graveyard. You wouldn't think that a small upgrade from Mind Rot makes a big difference, but it really, really does. It's also a great topdeck if they're starting to climb out of Rack range."
Hmm I thought it was confirmed by now.
"This sad and shocking news comes out of an appearance by Studio Ghibli general manager Toshio Suzuki on Japanese television that's been translated on Oh-Totoro.com (via The Film Stage), basically saying they would be closing the animation feature film department, maintaining a small staff to focus on trademarked material.
Soriel, ( don't know if you have heard)But unfortunately studio Ghibli is shutting down very soon. I remember the good Ghibli films and their unique style.
Watchlist for myself:
Magi ( what Im watching now)
Black Lagoon
GTO
Ghost in the Shell
Finish Cowboy Bebop ( No I haven't finished it and please don't flame me )
Favorite Playstyle (Aggro, Midrange, Control, Combo): Anything that's not control. Prefer combo/aggro.
How Competitive (For Fun, Local Tournament, MTGO, PTQ/GP): I'm a Spike/Johnny
Favorite Cards/Colors: Grixis colours.
Budget: Enough for anything that's not Junk/Jund
Staples Owned: Don't have fetches , goyfs or Lilis. Can potentially buy some in coming months.
Advice is greatly appreciated . As mentioned I am a Spike/Johnny and I need a deck that feels right.
Hiya. Returning to magic after a while a bit new to storm so I have some questions, if you guys don't mind;
1- Faithless Looting vs Desperate Ravings?
2- " You refuse to pass priority " . So you can play in a way in which priority is not passed onto the opponent and you can keep using instant speed spells?
Hello and welcome! Nice to see people still joining our ranks despite a relative lack of large-scale activity.
I've been thinking of moving to a new thread, though that's probably not happening until I come back. In the meantime, feel free to post silly anime cliches as ideas for the new thread title. My current idea is "It can't be helped. [MTGS Brigade] will have to use THAT!".
^^ fun
As for me, I've just started Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. I've seen the original FMA , but not this one. I have heard good things about the ending.
Hello
I used to be an avid MTG player who is now returning. I remember seeing you guys back a year or two ago , when I was with the Izzet clan and I decided to give this page a check. Good to see you guys are still in business.
Needless to say I would like to join. If there is one word that describes me it would be "otaku".
So a little bout myself to break the ice.
My name:
My real name is Mike, but I would prefer to be called Lethal or Rayne.
Why am I here:
Anime is my religion.
Favourite animes:
1. Madoka Magica
2. Outbreak Company
3. Dangan Ronpa
4. Akame Ga Kill
5. Majutsu no Index / Railgun
6. No Game No Life
7. Date A Live
8. CLANNAD
9. Steins;Gate
10. Log Horizon
It sounds like MTGO might be just the thing for you, since the level of play in the competitive events is reasonable. I don't know if the free trial is still working, but if it is you should be able to try and see if the client works properly with your hardware setup. The thing is that some people have terrible lag and performane issues, while others have very little issues. Your mileage may vary.
Hmm I get 60 fps on max graphics on League of Legends. I hope that's enough for no lag. And I have a MTGO account from a year or two back , I just dont have any cards on it.
You will also be delighted to hear the A/B/U duals cost around $3-15 on MTGO.
Thanks for the response. I don't mind spending a bit of money (400-500$) on a deck I just don't want to spend a grand on lands alone let that be online or in real life. That's insane (zendikar fetch lands are 80$ now!? wtf? ).
Anyways , I'm really competitive and I like to go to big events so I might shed a few bucks to get a tournament ready deck for a big tournament. I'm just not sure yet if I should do that on Magic Online or on Paper (not too big of an issue , multiple tournaments on saturday sunday and its a 5 minute drive). I might get into this new "modern" thing since I wont have to buy dual lands(I am NOT paying 350$ for a land!).
I am just a returning magic player and I would like to get back into playing competitively. I am not a big fan of standard since I have to buy new decks. And I don't want to play Legacy(atleast in paper , expensive as hell) so I considered getting into MTGO since I can play anytime and some cards are a lot cheaper.
Problem however , I was consulting a very reliable source of information and when I asked whether I should join MTGO or not I got "...I would not currently recommend MTGO for a large multitude of reasons, mostly the new client making the game unplayable."

Thoughts on this?

Finished the Brotherhood , was awesome. Extremely good ending. Finished Oreimo as well , turns out it had a second season.

On one hand you lose a land.... but its a bolt nonetheless.
I personally don't use it. I play a RWB build with both Boros Charm and Bump in the Night and I find shard volley outclassed by so cards in my deck.
