    Sorcery (R)
Exile all creatures. At the beginning of the next end step, return those cards to the battlefield under their owners' control.
The purity of one's character and the purity of one's soul are two very different things.

It could be, but the way the current meta is shaping up, it looks like the best thing to pair up white humans with is green, because it also contains humans (and multiple human lords.)

Mr. Sondag's Wolf Run deck is a beast.

    See what I did there?

I think it has its uses that Surgical Extraction and Nihil Spellbomb dont.

For example, someone playing G/W humans, they have multiple copies of Champion of the Parish or Mayor of Avabruck, you can take them all out in one fell sweep, weakening them by quite a bit.

But other than that, I think a well timed Surgical Extraction could be better.

Can someone explain what this deck is about in a nutshell? based on what ive seen, its a card advantage/control/reanimator deck?

Hand shuffling exists for 2 reasons:

    1. Because it pisses people off

    2. Because some of us need to be doing things with our hands constantly. Sorry, it's just how some of us are.

Also, O-ring fight over an Azure mage was pretty funny.

I definitely understand the need to be doing something while your opponent is taking his turn, but still...I guess that first reason could throw people off, if everyone gets as flustered about it as me, lol.

There's been plenty of them today. The wolf-run/solar flare matchup was even longer.

Ouch. I havent really been paying much attention to Solar Flare. Does it always tend to draw games out?

i just want to snatch BOTH of their hands away and slam them onto the table, and yell at them "Lay off the energy drinks and top f***ing fondling your cards!!"

That seriously annoys the crap out of me whenever they do that. They think it makes them look all slick and "professional". It makes you look like you have ADD.

I could see both Avacyn AND that Demon she went after (Griselbrand was it?) becoming Planeswalkers.

I cant quite remember the story so far explained, but didnt they BOTH disappear without a trace at the same time? Maybe they both developed a spark and traveled to a new plane, and they're duking it out? I have no idea, but it'd be pretty awesome to see a new Angel and Demon Planeswalker.

Shes good, there is no doubting that.

But NOT $70 good, nor $60, nor $50, probably not even $40.

I cannot see her staying at this price for too much long. Excellent for investors though. Buy a box, you happen to get a few, and theres a whole other box right there. :p

Me running Gideon has very little to do with sweepers. I need things that helps to keep the two turn clock that is Geist+Destiny from ticking. Comparing 1-2 Gideons to 2-3 Nevermore/Probe, Gideon does more, is better late game, and takes up less slots.

Geist+Destiny could be answered via Nevermore, it could also be answered via Oblivion Ring (on the AD). Gideon would definitely be a good inclusion against that though, but not necessarily against other decks. Definite consideration for sideboard at least, maybe even one or two mainboard.

Thing is though, Gideon is a bit out of my price range (for me). :p Sooo even if I wanted to include them, I couldnt at the moment. But say if money wasnt a factor, I would, again, most definitely consider Gideon at the very least for the sideboard.

If this is 'the best we got' then we need to work in a different direction.

I meant in terms of getting close to that sort of Clique/Mage combo. Its not the same, but its close.

I would also like to know this.

It doesnt. It specifically reads "Exile another target nonland permanent."

Im assuming they may have misundestood how o-ring works.

    You should re-read Gitaxian Probe.

Saying Nevermore speeds up your deck compared to Gideon is just.... /facepalm. Gideon swings for 6. Nevermore sits there and does nothing. Gideon forces attacks. Nevermore sits there and does nothing. Gideon kills creatures. Nevermore sits there and does nothing.

You know when Nevermore is a bad topdeck? Right after you get your board swept. You know when Gideon is a bad topdeck? Never.

I dont think you guys realize how fast GW humans can actually be.. :/

And im not saying to run 4 of both Probe and Nevermore. 2, MAYBE 3 of each would be fine. 4 would be overdoing it, I agree. This is supposed to be an aggro deck, after all.

Gideon could possibly be played, but I just think he costs too much. Granted, when he's out, he does make an excellent distraction to protect your humans, but I dont think THAT much of a distraction or target is needed. With enough of the right humans out, with a combination of Mayors, Automatons, and Hamlet Captains, your fragile little humans wont be so fragile.

I dont want it misunderstood that what im saying is Gideon is a bad card, in any way. All im saying is that he isnt necessary for this kind of deck to work and win fast.

Between Hamlet Captain, Champion of the Parish, Mayor of Avabruck, and Gavony Township, I don't need a creature heavy board presence. I'm not trying to swarm. Probe+Nevermore is not Meddling Mage+Vendilion Clique. Mage, and Clique in particular, could both swing and actually help you win. Clique also had the benefit of being able to surprise your opponent at their EOT, then you could follow up with the Mage.

In an aggro deck you want each play to further your endgame plans, which should be getting your opponent to 0 life. Nevermore and Probe don't do that.

First of all, even though Probe and Nevermore are comparable to Clique and Mage, Clique and Mage arent in standard, and havent been for quite some time. This combo is pretty much the best we got.

Second, Probe costs a measly two life to both see what's coming and draw a card, at instant speed (also has the benefit of surprising your opponent at their EOT). When it gets to your next turn, cast nevermore (its cost is also quite low at 3 cmc) if need be, or cast the many one-drop humans, potentially buffing up a Champion of the Parish.

They're there to protect, not hinder your progress. Putting a Gideon into a deck that could be so much faster is like putting a big ball and chain on yourself. You could win more often than not (if built and played right) before you even get the mana to play Gideon.
