I totally agree that Domri, Anarch of Bolas is way better than Rhythm of the Wild. It buffs all your creatures, ramp and as a removal. Rhythm is only good at turn 2 play and worse top deck. Domri on turn 3 is great too. Pair up with riot dudes and the deck is fast and big.
Turn 2 and 3 both Domri in, up both for Lava Coil or Zhur-Taa Goblin is my best so far. Hellkite seems like mediocre. Carnage Tyrant and Etali is a temporary slot. I feel like God-Eternal Rhonas could be better. Mixed feeling to slot in Ilharg, the Raze-Boar because I feel like it should be in a different kind of deck. Also, a bit too much on removals ? Maybe Sarkhan the Masterless in for Skarrgan Hellkite or -2 from Banefire or Collision // Colossus.
So far the deck did not disappoint me against control decks like Esper, Bant Nexus, Jeskai. A turn 2 Rhythm of the Wild is almost like a sure win. A turn 3 Rhythm also not so bad. Those decks most likely to play Search for Azcanta or Wilderness Reclamation, hence our window to play Rhythm of the Wild. Bant Nexus may be a problem sometimes. A turn 3 Wilderness Reclamation then turn 4 Nexus of Fate shenanigans really troublesome. Phoenix and Rhythm is super awesome in this match up. Kraul Harpooner and Ghalta is also another combo.
Against aggro-er decks like Mono Red, Rakdos is usually if I lose, I was slower one turn and/or one land. Of course in this match up, burn spells slow them down killing their attackers and Gruul Spellbreaker is a 2-card burn magnet. Merfolk Branchwalker and Jadelight Ranger also blocks and as burn magnet. As they get burned, you lose life a bit slower. Against Golgari, I don't feel any problem. Gruul power level simply overpower theirs.
I personally like his build better than others. I would make minor adjustment, minus Skarrgan Hellkite for Steel Leaf Champion to go big early, and Lava Coil for a split of Regisaur Alpha and Ghalta, Primal Hunger. Kraul Harpooner answers most Lava Coil's target (Drakes, Phoenix, Djinn) or simply overpower the opponent, and also at times a nonbo with Nullhide Ferox.
Growth-Chamber Guardian with Regisaur Alpha and Rhythm of the Wild in play is pretty insane too. I'm a bit concern on the mana requirement. I would want to avoid using tapped lands but Steel Leaf Champion and Rekindling Phoenix mana base might be a problem. I could replace the Phoenix with Vine Mare and Carnage Tyrant to go on hexproof route, but Phoenix and Rhythm of the Wild is just too good.
I have to be honest, I'm really excited about this card in standard. Just like many people, it reminds us of Fires of Yavimaya. But the reason of Fires successful was because of 8 1cmc mana dork, Llanowar Elves and Birds of Paradise to drop it on turn 2, avoiding Counterspell while on the play. The synergy of the cards in the deck was too good. T3 Blastoderm, T4 Saproling Burst, you have 17-power beaters.
Now, we only have Elves to ramp in turn 2. Not that consistent I think. Nullhide Ferox easily replaces Blastoderm but the whole deck still needs more consistency. I do hope we will have a really good RG deck in standard. All in all, I still like this card.
Zero Titanshift in the top 16 GP Hong Kong and top 28 GP Stockholm. Is the deck a bad choice in the current meta, or a great one moving forward ? I have a mixed feeling on this. Both GPs have 50% of control and/or Tron decks, which is a good MU for Titanshift but at the same time aggro decks like Humans/Spirits/Hardened Scales kinda difficult for us.
I was the one that finished 9th on tie breakers =/
Solemn works fine. I tested BBE but was having problems when i was cascading. Sometimes needed to cascade ramp spell and cascade into de removal. And cascading into Pactnis the worst thing.
Did a little report in the facebook group (:
Congratulations anyway ! If you don't mind to post your report here too ?
I always thought that if Titanshift going to play BBE, might as well play Solemn Simulacrum instead. Ramp and a body. With BBE, we thinned 2 cards off library immediately (assuming we find a ramp spell) but Solemn Simulacrum thinned 1 card etb and 1 card when died.
splashed in the one list for Renegade Rallier, that was a surprise. I like the idea behind it, its a "snapcaster-effect" for most of our decks permanents.
Personally I never got around to testing much white plash, always wanted to try Nahiri, the Harbinger
I like the Renegade Rallier version. With 7-8 fetches and STE, it is almost like a bigger version of Wood Elves. The problem is sequencing the land drop and to play around so that your white source is not so vulnerable to land destruction like Ghost Quarter or Field of Ruin. Of course we can slot in Plains for safety, but I've experienced several occasion where if I drew a Mountain or a ramp spell, I would have win the game, but instead I drew the third colour basic land (that 1 and only in the deck).
Btw on Mill match up, if one is concern about it, yeah a single Gaea's Blessing might help.
I'm considering a playset BBE in the main, taking up 2 flex spots and 2 Summoner's Pact. It has almost similar function like STE and Wood Elves, as a blocker and ramp or at worst, cascading into Lightning Bolt, which is not bad either.

How's your testing ? I would suggest to cut 1 land and Pia Nalaar for a playset Steel Leaf Champion. The rest seems fine, almost like my list. I ran Servant of the Conduit instead Druid of the Cowl, and Scrapheap Scrounger over Rekindling Phoenix.
Congratulations anyway ! If you don't mind to post your report here too ?

LOL ! How did I missed that ?! *smh*
He plays 4 Search of Azcanta main deck without any blue source other than a singleton Prismatic Omen.

I'm considering Sweltering Suns in the main. At worst it can be cycled. But against Merfolk, Kumena, Tyrant of Orazca can be a problem. On Vanquisher's Banner, Vance's Blasting Cannons or Lifecrafter's Bestiary, my vote goes to Vance's Blasting Cannons. In the past, Chandra, Pyromaster and Outpost Siege seems to be beneficial against control by having additional card to play each turn.
To be honest, I haven't explore standard quite a while so a bit unsure of the current meta. But that 4 Tyrant 4 Ghalta list is pretty awesome !
