I like your deck but how consistent is it? I like Vorapede but he takes 3 green mana to play. I'm afraid I wouldn't able to cast him consistently and also be playing cards like 4 Vampire Nighthawk. I feel like I have to commit to either mostly green or mostly black. I would choose mostly black for the removal stuff. How is Deadbridge Goliath working out for you? Not sure if I should run him in my deck Was thinking of running 4 dreg manglers.
Do you have any suggestion for a better sideboard or see some flaws in the main deck. It looks pretty reasonable for a budget deck. Just started play testing and it looks fun.
If you are intent though, Might I recommend you take a look at your list and ang yourself if you should not just run affinity pieces in it. You are already runnign memnite and Ornithopter. Its not much of a stretch to get cranial plating, thoughtcast, and etched champion in the list.
Etched Champion BTW is insane in some matchups. Most people just have nothing they can do against it.
With all those artifacts you can throw in a tinker, blightsteel, and the usual suspects and pretty safely assume you will win some match ups.
Thank you for the reply, that's a very interesting idea I'm not sure what to drop and how to fix the list for that yet but it's nice.
> urweak: I will try this. Tezz is a nice idea, thanks
> Killae: I thought about that but with my current manabase I will have a hard time to not kill myself I think Maybe when I'll get proper duals.
I want to make new decks, at least 1 of every format.
So far I'm mostly playing EDH these days but I resently finished a non-LED Dredge deck for legacy and it gave me the spark again for other formats. I'm working on several decks at the moment (Modern/ "budget" Vintage and Legacy) and I tought that getting the lands first should be a good thing to focus on mainly because:
- Some of the lands work in any formats.
- They can be swapped between decks if needed.
- They are a sure value
- Even if I decide to dismantle a deck, the lands will always be useful.
Since this needs to be planned, here's my goal:
Goal:
- Shock Lands: 1 of each, then a Playset
- Fetch Lands: 1 of each, then a Playset
- Original Dual Lands: 1 of each, then a Playset
Now obviously, I'm far from behing done.
The first goal should not be that bad (1 of each) but the playsets, it will be a pain.
Now my question for you is this:
- How would you approche a goal like this, what's the best way to acquire them?
- Is buying specific boxes worth more than buying singles for some of them?
- How should I approche buying the Original duals?
Thanks for the reading and feel free to share your advice and similar experience. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one with a goal like this.
(...) might I ask what Fastbond and the singleton Gush are in there for? They're undoubtedly great cards but I'm not sure what they're doing in this deck other than being useful if you can get them in a Yawgmoth's Will turn.
One of the problems I've found when running decks which are very much focused around Tinker is that if it's countered it's pretty much gone and you have to resort to a back up plan. For that reason you may wish to consider maybe one more recursion card - I'd suggest Noxious Revival, due to its sheer versatility and the fact that you can cast it without even spending mana.
I hope that helps!
Thank you for your answers!
I had actually thought about Noxious Revial in the deck, just didn't have any place for it. I guess I could remove the single Gust for that.
Fastbond was as you said for either some Yawgmoth's Will Shenanigans or an explosive start (more Island + Gush could also be nice with it but I guess I just don't have the tools for that). I'm wondering if I could add some Gush actually, what do you think?
First thing on the chopping block would be Tormod's Crypt for me. .
I think he needs the Crypt.
I'm the one running Sharuum, Mimeo and also a Drana Stacks deck.
We play together almost all the time (and it's not just me, we saw a nice Karador with Loam and ~4 wasteland type of land, and other deck like that).
Normally is Crypt buys him some time. I must either bait it or get my Trickbind/Krosan grip asap. :P. Just my meta 2 cent
Here's my Cromat Storm EDH I've made so far. I want to know what you guys think since I want to make it a little more competitive. It's used only for multiplayer.
I was thinking about making a Green/Blue/Red EDH with lots of focus on creatures (Boosting them, copying them, etc.)
The deck would include many interesting creatures on their own (Primeval titan, Mystic snake, etc.) but I also thought about including an important amount of slivers of those colors since they're my favorites and they could be interesting copying targets.
What do you guys think?
Does someone has a link to a 3 colored sliver edh deck? Or maybe just a non-5 colored deck using slivers.
It's fairly consistent!
The
4 Deathrite Shaman
4 Evolving Wilds
4 Overgrown Tomb
4 Woodland Cemetery
make it so that normaly, by the time I have 3-5 mana, I can cast most things without a problem.
So far both Deadbridge Goliath and Dreg Manglers gave me nice results. The Deadbridge Goliath are nice bodies for their cost all the time, and if I get the chance to scavange one on a Vampire Nighthawk or Lotleth Troll it's pretty nuts. They were never useless and discarting them to Lotleth Troll doesn't feel bad at all when needed
You should try them yourself
4 Deadbridge Goliath
4 Deathrite Shaman
2 Dreg Mangler
4 Lotleth Troll
4 Vampire Nighthawk
2 Vorapede
2 Wolfir Silverheart
Spells (11):
2 Abrupt Decay
2 Sever the Bloodline
2 Tribute to Hunger
1 Ultimate Price
2 Curse of Death's Hold
2 Underworld Connections
1 Liliana of the Veil
2 Vraska the Unseen
Lands (24):
4 Evolving Wilds
4 Forest
4 Overgrown Tomb
1 Rogue's Passage
7 Swamp
4 Woodland Cemetery
2 Knight of Infamy
1 Abrupt Decay
4 Duress
4 Golgari Charm
4 Pithing Needle
Pretty fun to play
First, sorry if there was a primer or something similar, I didn't see one for this (just G/W/B Midrange)
Here's my deck:
4 Avacyn's Pilgrim
2 Centaur Healer
4 Deathrite Shaman
4 Diregraf Ghoul
2 Dreg Mangler
2 Knight of Infamy
4 Vampire Nighthawk
Non-Creatures (17):
3 Abrupt Decay
4 Duress
4 Lingering Souls
4 Selesnya Charm
2 Victim of Night
4 Overgrown Tomb
2 Sunpetal Grove
7 Swamp
3 Temple Garden
1 Vault of the Archangel
4 Woodland Cemetery
2 Centaur Healer
2 Dryad Militant
3 Loxodon Smiter
2 Golgari Charm
2 Rest in Peace
2 Pithing Needle
2 Tormod's Crypt
Do you have any suggestion for a better sideboard or see some flaws in the main deck. It looks pretty reasonable for a budget deck. Just started play testing and it looks fun.
Any help is appreciated, thank you

For now my plan B is the obvious Tendrils of Agony
Thank you also for your comment Beralt.
I'm trying to do this with no P9 cards (or really expensive cards)
Here's what I'm planning so far for a Tinker list:

1 Echoing Truth
1 Tolarian Academy
1 Strip Mine
1 Mana Vault

Please also note that it's for a Meta without P9 in general.
Thank you!

For some explanation:
I aim for a big storm count that could usually end games. Normally it's hard to do ONE big storm so the recursion is there to repeat and help agains removal.
There also some nice combo:
- Etherium Sculptor/Helm of Awakening + Sensei's Divining Top + Futur Sight To draw the deck and get a HUGE storm count.
- Splinter Twin + Deceiver Exarch For a backup plan.
Cards a want to add when possible:
- More Tutor
- Draw like Necropotence & Sylvan Library
- Cloud Key, Magus of the Future & Tidesprout Tyrant for more comboing
- Cheaper removal (like Nature's Claim & Ray of Revelation)
Also some I'm not sure: Isochron Scepter, Cryptic Annelid
The deck is pretty tight right now, how could it be improved ?
Edit: Why are the links working outside of the box and not inside???
I was thinking about making a Green/Blue/Red EDH with lots of focus on creatures (Boosting them, copying them, etc.)
The deck would include many interesting creatures on their own (Primeval titan, Mystic snake, etc.) but I also thought about including an important amount of slivers of those colors since they're my favorites and they could be interesting copying targets.
