I think a lot of sets lately have been disappointing. Really the main selling points for the past 2 sets have been the expeditions. Though I haven't cared about standard since it was INN-RTR.
The price jumps of Eye of Ugin and other cards just show how much of a joke things have become. I would say this about both Modern and to a far lesser extent now Legacy. The past few years have been ridiculous with buyouts and overnight spikes.
It's interesting how if you answer you play less than once a month, it automatically boots you out of the survey. It doesn't ask why you play so little or any changes to make you more inclined to play more.
I'd like them to return to the Four Great Classical Novels of Chinese lit.
P3K was interesting, and I'd want to see how they would or could do the sets now.
Other than that it's all just whatever to me.
It's not too good for standard. Just like Counterspell, Wrath of God, Dark Ritual, Ponder, etc aren't too good either. It's just it doesn't fit with what they feel players want.
Playing more helps get better, whether it's online or in person.
However I also believe that some people max out at a lower ceiling than others no matter how much time they put in.
Not sure why others got so upset about the pick. Most people would do it. As far as any apologies made by other 'pros' they're only making them because sponsors are putting pressure on them. I doubt any of them are sincere.
2. Slow players.
3. Wannabe pros
