I think we should just stop arguing about the credibility of Limp Bizkit, since it won't lead to anything productive and just start giving lists of albums released this year that we think are the best.

I'll give my list after listening to more albums:
    1-Megadeth: Thirt3en
    2-Anthrax: Worship Music.
    3.Warbringer-Worlds Torn Asunder.

I'm gonna add more once I decide which other albums I like.
I know it's a lot of thrash metal but it's my favourite genre

I feel like I'm being trolled with all this Limp Bizket talk, this isn't the Worst Music thread. Also, I don't understand how it was disappointing when it sucked and everyone with respectable taste knew it was gonna suck.

Back to talking about music that doesn't suck.

I'll second this, let's talk about some good music.

I'm enjoying Anthrax's Worship Music right now.

You just have to keep in mind when you're listening that they don't take themselves seriously at all. They WANT to be strange and obnoxious. And it works for them, especially on gold cobra.

Haven't heard the new Korn album. They used to be listenable... but I'm pretty sure I would throw any CD with dubstep right out the window. Can't stand that ****.

I think that's why I've never been able to take them seriously, they're too strange and obnoxious for me to take seriously.

as for Korn, I've never really been able to get into them, save for a few songs but now that they've mixed with Dubstep (which i also don't really enjoy), I won't even bother to try again

I enjoy Megadeth's latest but I'm really out of the loop this year, so you shouldn't really include my opinion

You forgot people not knowing what screamo is, and misdirecting their hatred of scene kids towards it

people not knowing what "screamo" is pisses me off so much, I can be talking about some band that's not even remotely "screamo" but then they'll just say its not good because it's screamo

my Habs keep making stupid decisions, they just traded Spacek for Tomas Kaberle, who isn't all that great anymore.

I keep losing faith in this team

This isn't the right reason to hate the Leafs.

I grew up in Ontario and was a Leafs fan by default (long before the Senators). Then I moved to downtown Toronto and I learned a few things. For one, it was cheaper for 4 guys to rent a car, split the gas, drive to and from Buffalo, buy tickets at the gate 30 minutes before game time, and watch the Leafs play there than it was to WALK to the Air Canada Centre to watch a game (unless you got tickets from scalpers at the end of the 1st period). Second, in 2003 (?), it cost me $35/ticket to STAND at the rafters in the "no drinking" section. I didn't even get a seat. There, I discovered that the only fans watching the game in the top sections. There is almost no cheering in the lower sections because the vast majority of those ($$$) seats are held by companies for entertaining clients. It's a "status symbol" thing.

Then I clued in: That's how the Leafs can put a losing team on the ice year after year while pricing their tickets WAY higher than the rest of the league and still sell out their season tickets 5 years in advance... They have absolutely no incentive to put a good team on the ice.

And that's why I hate the Leafs.

that's another reason to hate them, but the reason why I hate the fans is because of the fact that their team is a losing one, yet their fans still bash every other team in the league.

    that's just me

  • posted a message on How do you feel about proxies?
I know a guy back home who had a deck full of proxies til he could get the actual cards but people at the LGS I go to in mu university town/the school's club don't usually use them from what I've seen, I've maybe only seen 1 or 2 people use them to find stuff they can't get their hands on yet.

I know some people were making proxies of Innistrad cards before they came out because they wanted to come up with good ideas for post-rotation decks.

My professor for sociological theories of crime would do pop quizzes, which is something that I don't have a problem with, because it makes sure you read the articles for class, but my problem with him was that he'd put random things on it, often form stuff months back and not from the stuff he told us to read.
Plus he was so stuck up and would often be the only one laughing at his own jokes.

Dubstep. That crap is terrible and repetitive and made on computers and not with actual instruments 90% of the time. It's a bunch of `wah wah wah` sounds and cut-laggy sounding vocals (if there are any) of complete repetitive nonsense. I remember when I was in highschool everyone thought screamo was the worst thing to happen to music.

Now we have Dubstep and screamo suddenly looks like Motzhart.

this, while I like some screamo, most of it's bad but still looks great compared to any form of electronic music

I'd be happy with another team moving to Quebec City, there have been talks of the Coyotes moving for a while and that's really the only place they could go now that Winnipeg has a team
