I do like your idea of Anointed Procession! I might have to test that out! Beastmaster Ascension is a nice cheap Enchantment, another card that could use some testing.

Hey everyone,
Thanks for taking a look at my decklist. I really don't have the mana squared away, but I would like some help with the creature/spell/artifact portion of the list.
1. How much ramp do I need?
2. Is my deck's casting cost have a too high of a curve?
3. Is 36 lands too much with my current ramp?
4. Do you think Rhonas’s Monument and Oketra’s Monument are worth it in the main deck?
5. Do have any suggestions overall for cards that could be added/taken away?

My game store tends to very competitive, but I would just like a well rounded deck that needs a few tweaks here and there.

I am trying to convert my multiplayer Commander into 1v1 since some of the cards are on the banlist. I have been out of the loop for awhile for the new cards that came out. I know there is something that could be upgraded easily and work perfectly into this type of deck.
I have had great success with my Gisela deck in multiplayer.
During 1v1 Commander, I'm pretty sure you would want more sport removal and LESS sweepers...if I'm not mistaken? Lighting Bolt!
Baneslayer Angel...there has to be a good 5 drop surely better now in some way or form.

I like your idea of Falkenrath Aristocrat since we make many Human Tokens that can be sac'd plus is goes well with Blood Artist once the sac'ing begins. It seems pretty solid. That's without using Midnight Haunting and Lingering Souls too, since they really don't mix well in the above deck.
I like your deck...a lot. It almost runs like a controly deck in my opinion. It has removal, token generators, and a beefy creature. I really like it. What I would try is maybe a 2-of Boros Reckoner and keep maybe a 2-of Gather the Townsfolk?? I like all the removal that you have too and Sorin really works in your deck I think. Maybe you could do a sweeper in the deck for the early game? Maybe something like Divine Reckoning, Terminus, Merciless Eviction, Sever the Bloodline or Blasphemous Act, which would be harder to cast. I wish they had something similar to Shrine of Loyal Legions back in the previous standard season against the control matchup, but that is pretty much Assemble the Legion now.
I'm down for all the help I can get for this deck. Honestly my vision from the deck was from the last standard season..(or was it the earlier this season?) since most of the B/W Token decks ran something similar to this with the Human theme.
I use to play the G/W Tokens which played more of a control style last season in which it had Day of Judgment somewhere in the 75. That deck also used planeswalkers like Elspeth and Garruk.
I honestly think you are right that I am stuck somewhere. I want it be aggro, but I want it to be somewhat of a control too? I think I'm asking too much for Legion's Initiative. I want it to be an Honor of the Pure, but it just doesn't work with white creatures well. That's why I'm thinking that Legion's would work better for a quick strike token deck.
The decklist above that you kind of put together is what I think is actually a very very good start to a quick striking Dega token deck.
So maybe something like this:

I could see this working super fast. I think I would honestly like some removal. It's better than no removal in a deck. Plus I think Rootborn Defenses should be in ANY of the 75 in a token deck.
Now with the more controlling version, I would use more of Sorin and add more removal in.

Tajic could probably be a different card. Then you could add in an X number of removal to the deck, and maybe even sweepers? Heck, we could even add in a dew 5 drops that could swing the game for us...maybe?
Honestly though, I like both routes. I like the grindy matches of the "control" version, but maybe, just maybe the faster version is the better one in the current format???
I will gladly take any advice that you have to offer. I plan on testing a little this week. I would like to try out the faster aggro version a little bit I think. And I also think that is the route that I will be going with.
True. I was considering that card for awhile, but the downfall is that you have to sac the creatures at the end of your turn. I would like to keep creature advantage on my side. The upside is that you could have three 3/3s coming out you with Virtue and Legion out, which is pretty nasty. This too will have to be another thing that I can test out. The more red route seems pretty powerful since Legion can act like Honor of the Pure, but just for red.

Legion's Initiative is a good card, but I think if I had more red creatures and token producers, like Krenko's Command, then it would be even better. I might even consider going the more red route and skip the human token way.
I added a little more removal to the maindeck. The sideboard I added Devour Flesh to help against hexproof creatures and Beckon Apparition against decks that use their graveyards a lot.
I am considering 1x Slaughter Games in the sideboard to help against the control matchups, but we will see once testing get underway.
Good catch, I like that idea a lot! I think I will also be adding Wear/Tear to the sideboard. I also added Immortal Servitude to the sideboard since I run 8 one drops that are all humans. I would like to test it out, I think it would be good against some decks that have a lot of sweepers.
Yah, it probably is the best choice for my list. I will change that I rework some of the lands.
Assemble the Legion is good, but I've never played a 5-drop in a tokens deck. I usually like to curve out at 4...but Assemble the Legion is very powerful against Control decks. I think I will put 2 in the sideboard to sure! I will do some testing with it in main deck too.
I think the same thing. I would like to test Tajic first, but I'm thinking of just adding a little more red mana to my land count to make it easier to cast. My goal is to hit the 4-drop on turn 4, and cast that. I will test this too and check the mana base.

Token decks have been around for awhile now. I've played G/W Tokens, B/W Tokens and Junk Tokens at least a couple times during different Standard Seasons. I figured it would be time to play tokens again.
Dega Tokens plays like B/W Tokens when it was doing decent months ago. The same basic build. Key cards lost during rotations last time was Honor of the Pure and Hero of Bladehold. I miss those cards....

Card Explanations/Suggestions:
The deck has the basic Champion of the Parish/Doomed Traveler/Gather the Townsfolk for the quick strikes. It also has the basic token generators of Lingering Souls, Midnight Haunting, and Gather the Townsfolk.
Legion's Initiative
With Honor of the Pure missing, I needed to fill a big void. The only thing that fits in about the same catagory is Legion's Initiative. It doesn't give white creatures +1/+1, but it buffs them to +0/+1. It gives red creatures +1/+0. I would like the extra power for my white creatures, since most of them are white, but an extra toughness could go a long way.
Tajic, Blade of the Legion
I think this guy has big shoes to fill with Hero of Bladehold gone. Yes it's a 4-drop, and it's industructible, but it is defiantly not a Hero of Bladehold. Battalion can get online pretty quickly with tokens, and can get +1/+1 from Legion's Initiative, but it doesn't produce tokens or doesn't have a buff of it's own, or doesn't have any sort of evasion. I would like to test this guy first but I have other considerations at the 4-drop spot.
Hellrider
Honestly, I think this more superior than Tajic. With tokens, this can be pretty brutal. The downfall is the casting cost. 2RR is more difficult to cast than 2RW in my opinion.I would like to test test this out though.
Angel of Jubilation
This card is underrted. It always has been. This might be the best choice for me in the long run. The sad part is the 1WWW, which honestly I think is doable since what I mostly run it Plains. I was also thinking of trying to run 1 of this, 1 Hellrider, and 1 Tajic to see how it would fair. This card is also helpful against the Aristocrats decks.
Sorin, Lord of Innistrad
I'm on the edge with this card. Sure it gives all my creatures a buff, which is what I would probably use it for the most. It produces 1/1 black Vampires which has no synergy with Legion's Initiative or Angel of Jubilation. It does have synergy with Intanible Virtue and Hellrider and Tajic. I think a 1-of it good for the testing phase right now.
Boros Charm
Makes my creatures indistructable when a sweeper is coming after me. Honestly, I think this should be moved up in count in the deck.
Orzhov Charm
This deck needs some sort of removal besides Oblivion Ring I think. Orzhov seems decent but I don't think it's the best. I am considering Searing Spear or Pillar of Flame, but that would require more red intensive mana.
Rootborn Defenses
I know this card should be somewhere in the deck. It might be in the sideboard more than anything, but main deck seems more and more appealing with the Populate mechanic.
Assemble the Legion
Love this card when it first got spoiled. It has really good flavor and when your oppenent can't stop it, you pretty much win the game...hopefully. I think this card right now is going into the sideboard. It doesn't mean that I won't start testing it in the main deck, but I think it's good in certain match-ups and really doesn't fit my aggro theme.
Wear/Tear
Need some form of artifact/enchantment removal and this one seems like the best fit for the sideboard.
Immortal Servitude
We run 8 one drops which honestly could die really quickly. With all of them being Humans, it is very effective with Champion of the Parish in the graveyard or on the battlefield already.

I took out Basalt Monolith and added Mana Vault. I figured that would help me get Gisela out faster to best face. I also added Starstorm and Brightflame. Starstorm can help me draw cards early game plus I like it as a sweeper. Brightflame just hinders some decks. If Gisela is out, it's pretty brutal.
Wear//Tear is pretty good. I know you cant use fuse with Sunforger but it's really good. The card that I really like is Furance of Rath. It's practically a Gisela!
Cards im thinking of adding is Tajic since an indestructible with equipment seems pretty good. I dont have many creatures with Battallion but its more for the body.
If you have any more suggestions, let me know! I think i am almost done roughing the edges of this deck but some stuff still needs to be hammered out.
I honestly haven't played this deck in awhile. I have been kind of taking a break from standard and Magic as a whole since I was finishing up college. Nearhearth Pilgrim would probably be the better choice from High Priest of Pennance. This deck does need to be aggressive.
The Demon honestly has not been working at all. It's one of those card that you would want to work, but won't work at all. So that would be a card to get rid of in this deck honestly.
I honestly like the idea of Tragic Slip, that would be a card to consider. Vault of the Archangel if I remember was really good, but I could see cutting one for another basic land.
Angelic Overseer I would have to say was the underdog of the deck. I actually was running 1 Ravenous Demon and 2 Angelic Overseer, which in my opinion was the right choice.
I do like the idea, but maybe as a one of??
I haven't looked at DGM set all the much yet, but there a few B/W cards that really pop out at me and that one you mention was one of them. I was also looking at the 5-drop Vampire...forgot the name sorry, but it would take away from the Human theme.
Since I graduated from college...finally, I might have more time, but I've been busy job hunting lol.
I still think this deck could be competitive if it was more finely tuned. Thanks for the interest even if I haven't been paying attention to the thread
