At the moment, I don't suspect Fadeblue more then anyone else. He could easily be scum, but so could any of us at this point. I stick by my vote for Greebo, not because losing him won't hurt the town, but because if he is telling the truth about being vanilla, it's less of a loss then losing someone with an ability.

Losing a townie is always bad for us, but we run that risk everytime we lynch. As it has been mentioned, Unsan could have a powerful ability and losing him could be disasterous. Right now, those two seem to be our strongest leads.

Also, if he is Okk, knocking him off would confirm a red townie for everyone to see, which is one step closer to defining what roles are mafia.

I'm going to go ahead and claim red. I don't know if it's wise to claim anything this early, but it is my belief that Mafia is all black and, if this is true, it's important info.

Greebo, roleclaimimg this early in the game is a bad idea for both Mafia and Townie. Thus people will only do it when doing so can help their case. If a doc claims and their role gives away their ability(i.e. [card]Master Healer[card]) then they become a target for the Mafia. Hence, it's a bad idea for us.

I still question his logic a little, but for the moment...

I like Stevie's logic. Also, Okk seems an odd role for a mafia game, so it could be a false claim that he assumed was safe.

    Vote Greebo

First off, I'm not sure about partial role claims. I think it can help down the line, but it may be to early. Maybe we should wait 'til we've got a better idea of what roles are scum.

When people post to say they agree with others, it gives us a better idea of how the whole group feels. You seemed a little strict in your spam accusations, so while I do agree with most of what you said, it was a rather severe.

    Vote Unsanitary999

For reasons stated. Your defense of Greebo was fishy.

Are there any spots left? If so...

I, CropCircles, hereby swear to actively participate in this mafia game until the game has ended. If I find myself unable to do so, I recognize it is my responsibility to find a player to replace me. I accept all consequences if I violate any of the terms stated.

I also proudly swear allegiance to Highroller, for I know it is an honor beyond any I deserve to raise my right hand and cry, "Hail Caesar!"

She's supposed to recieve "special treatment, unique in the history of Magic!" This will probably be one of those rule-that's-never-been-broken breaking cards. (i.e. gaining control of an opponents whole turn, ending the turn whenever you feel like it, removes upkeep, etc.) Other than that, the idea that she forces creatures to attack seems to fit her description, but we've already got a legend that does that with Fumiko, and it's not a very original idea.

Also, it would be interesting to see her with either Elemental or Vampire as a creature type. There haven't been any Kamigawa variants of these, so it would be nice to see.

Demons are awesome, but the greatest tribe is...Zomic Clerbies! I used to have a Zombie Cleric deck that would stall for a while, drop Graveborn Muse followed by a ton of cheap Zombies and Clerics, then win with Profane Prayers and Shepard of Rot. *sigh* I miss Onslaught...

I'm sure it will have it's fans, but I don't think it'll have much of an impact, particularly because the only real advantage it has over Hinder is being splashable. I'd say it has a chance for U/x control decks, but personally, I'd still use Mana Leak and Condescend. Maybe it'll have a chance in block, but there don't seem to be enough cheap counters to survive an enviroment with Isamaru, Nezumi Shortfang, and the dreaded Jitte.

Mana leak is best early game. Condescend for early to mid game, Hinder for mid to late, and rewind for late game. I like rewind a lot because you can counter something and still have mana for thirst or inspiration at EOT. Also, with Wayfarer's Bauble and Sakura-Tribe Elder, it's very easy to play rewind as early as you could hinder. Still, I'd have to say Hinder is the best, as it usually hits earlier then rewind, but doesn't get worse in the late game like Mana Leak and Condescend. That, and I hate E Witness. With a passion.

I must admit, when I thought of Final Judgment being a plant, I assumed that it meant Wrath had to go. I didn't really think of both going into the Core Set. I guess it makes sense, as 2 very similair dragons were in eigth and considering the current standard metagame, having wrath and judgment both legal obviously isn't a problem.

My only problem with this theory has to do with the removal of BoP. They said they couldn't have both the Birds and the Elves in the Core Set because then they coundn't print any good mana acceleration in the current block with so much good acceleration already available. It seems like having 2 playable wrath effects in the Core Set would cause them to tone down wrath effects in blocks, and thus be a bad idea. However, if Wrath is removed entirely, that opens up room for better wrath effects in the blocks, so they can stop feeding us crap like Solar Tide and Myojin of Cleansing Fire.

Wrath is a weird animal. We keep making “new” Wraths that are all about six mana (Catastrophe, Final Judgment, Solar Tide, etc.), so it's clear that we think the effect is worth more than four mana. Yet good old-fashioned four-mana Wrath keeps showing up in every Core Set. Why?

For the answer, I turn once again to the message boards. Wrath of God, I'm told, is one of only two cards in the Core Set that make it worth purchasing. No, seriously, read the boards. And we've already promised to remove the other—Birds of Paradise—next time around (mostly because we hate our players). So we keep reprinting Wrath just to make sure the company doesn't go bankrupt. Now please go buy some booster packs. It'll be fun, really!

This was written by Aaron Forsythe on April Fools Day. Note that Wizards likes to hide truth in their April Fools pranks.

Also, RFG removal has always been part of white(swords to plowshares). While it seems block specific, the cards art shows an event in which a giant spirit consumes a whole battlefeild, and the flavortext supports this by being the only reference to a spirit that is supposed to be an important figure in Kamigawa. Yet the card is not arcane. While it seems to fit well in the block, it seems more well fit for the Core Set.

Also note that since Invasion, most primary wrath effects have been printed with a block mechanic or something of the sort. Rout was part of the "may be played as an instant" cycle, Kirtar's Wrath had threshold, Akroma’s Vengeance had cycling, Solar Tide had entwine, and even ChK had a wrath creature with the white Myojin. If you look through wrath variants, very few could possibly make Core Set, and of those that could, they're all a little to quirky to make the cut. Final Judgment is too elegant to simply be another random variant, especially for a set that already has one(albeit, a poor excuse). Although iconic, I'd say Wrath gets the cut.

(I'm crossing my fingers though, since I just recently got four, lol)
