Why would a Pizza place do this? It doesnt make any sense. You'd be driving out of town to advertise a restaurant to people who dont live anywhere near the restaurant.

An LGS that sells magic cards might be willing to sponsor someone, but getting them to let you borrow cards would be hard enough. Expecting someone to pay for a rental car in exchange for you wearing a T-shirt? You'd have to be out of your mind.

    lol,

I'm asking on behalf of my friend I'm doing this because he's my friend and he asked me to i never said it would work but I'm willing to help.

Also its not a single pizza shop its an actual store chain that from personal and family experience store chains like this have tones of R+D cash sitting around to test theories like this. The only way to get a hold of that cash is to present them with a plausible idea that shows that at a minimum they will double their cash invested.

    ex 1:

Lets just say a book of coupons we brought to an event that had 500 free slices of pizza in it, lets say we hand out all 500 slices. That's 500 pieces of pizza they have to give away at about 2 dollars a slice but only actually require 50 cents to make, but you decide you want to add a dipping sauce, and a pop, and a bread stick. that free coupon has now made them and extra 50 cents they wouldnt have before necessarily because the guy didn't have the free coupon to actually make him want to go to that pizza place. (numbers are extremely rough, its just one thing my buddy who's idea this is, wants to illustrate for the pizza company)

secondly when your getting handed free coupons with a pizza places phone number on it and you've seen guys walking around with pizza place shirts all day, are you gonna go look for a phone book for delivery or just pull out your cell phone and order a pizza from the number stored in your wallet (slightly subliminal lol, but another point he's trying to make, that at the end of the day this will make them more money then it takes away)

My buddy is trying to get a couple of us sponsored my a pizza place his pitch is for them to buy our cards pay for a rental vehicle to events, in return we''d hand out coupons and flyers and where the shops apparel, I'm just trying to do some simplistic research if the pizza shop would double their investment by having us basically advertise for them at tournaments and if it would be worth it for them

(Posted from my phone sorry for any grammar issues)

If you played champion of lambholt in the human reanimator deck, and brought him out of the graveyard with a angel of glory's rise, and lets say 5 creatures would recieve the counters from those creatures re-entering the battle field with him i.e. making him a 6/6 and all creatures weaker then him unblockable.

Also would the same effect occur with champion of the parish if 4 humans entered the battle field "WITH" him would he recieve 4 counters?

Just curious is Rhox Faithmenders double life gain ability a triggered ability and just so I understand if that IS the case would multiples work like this:

    EX.

3x Rhox Faithmender on board, then I drop a Thragtusk. Abilities would trigger after Thragtusk resolves I pick an order for them to trigger and then it would be gain 10, gain 20, gain 40, for a total of 70 life?

I think this may be wrong, but I'm just curious

Really like this list. I am running basically the same list but with Ultimate Price instead of Deadly Allure. Super curious to know how Deadly Allure works out so please let us know!

I find deadly allure is amazing with gravecralwer and also on any target with Rancor, nothing besides play testing against different decks so far but what makes it amazing is its on colour flashback ability

This is the List I plan on playing this weekend, I've made it to go all in on the aggro plan game one, big making small creatures dead, or big creature smaller and still dead, or useless in terms of blocking due to Crippling Blight

Things MD that may stand out a little.

4x Rancors - I just find that this cqard has to be a 4 of there has not been a single game or testing session I've played with this where I have thought, "I dont want a Rancor".

3x Cavern of Souls - This card while awsome I have been finding clogs up my mana in a deck that only REALLY needs 1 on the battle field to be insanely effective against counter spell, I find 4 to be to much

1x Forest - I replaced the cavern with a forest because if I do have somone pop a ghost quarter to kill one of my duals and it was my soul source of green I want to replace it, this has never been a problem in terms of caster hard colour spells i.e. Geralf's Messenger a BBB

Sidboard Choices are to keep me with the Super aggro plan but have a little more control over my opponents game plan.

Desecration Demon - This guy can be a serious problem for creature light decks

Deathrite Shaman - This guy can be a serious Reanimator enemy

The rest of my sideboard I think is farely self-explanatory. I'm going about 70-30% wins in playtesting against various decks I do not belive this is because I have figured out the best version lol, but a combination of my piloting it, and the opponents I'm playing AND the fact that I've been only testing BG Zombies for the past couple months vs. all my friends who are switching decks every couple days and never learn them back to front lol.

Anyway I'll be using this this weekend, and I'll report back on how I did

To me it seems like you don't realize that Jund can play all the exact same cards that you do in BG, and you may be misunderstanding the differences in decklists between Rakdos Zombies and Jund Zombies.

    1) Yes the extra shocklands can hurt at times, but I don't get why you said jund runs 7 more shocks. It is only 4 more.

    2) Sign in Blood is still in most Jund lists, including mine, and I haven't had a difficult time casting it ever against other zombie lists. The difference is that you need to just not go all out on damage, and actually use the cacklers as blockers in game 1, until you side them out.

    3) Jund runs Lotleth Troll, Gravecrawler, and Dreg Mangler as well. I don't get why you think they don't. Perhaps it was just that you played against bad opponents who didn't know how to utilize the new cards to best effect.

    4) Rancor is still played in some Jund lists as well. Usually only a 1-2 of in the decks, but it is still there.

    5) Jund plays all the same creatures as you plus Falkenrath Aristocrat, so recovering from a wrath is probably easier for them since Aristocrat's hastey 4 damage is more than what is in BG.

What you fail to realize is that Jund plays Pillar of Flame. That card can and does swing the matchup. Hitting Messenger or Gravecrawler is really powerful, but you seemed to forget that.

And for you guys having trouble with Healer into Angel into Thragtusk, try running a playset of Appetite for Brains in your sideboard, and a pair of Ultimate Price in the main. It makes that matchup much easier. Remember, that is a green deck with Zero card draw. If you can just remove everything they play until they are topdecking they will lose.

Archie I'm posting from my phone so I will hit your points in short answer, btw thank you for replying as I said I'm just beginning to join the competative scene so I'm happy to explain my reasoning and hear criticism from ppl

    1) when I said 7 shock lands I meant as in the run 8 in total which equals 16 life and only somone desperate or silly would have to pay that much life I do understand all I meant was that extra 4 shock lands plus sign in bloods is in my opinion to costly in the deck with not a lot of wiggle room when playing against a BG deck that hit for the same and doesn't have to pay possibly as much life.

    2) I realize jund runs all the same creatures I just found in playing the jund variants people were having a much harder time validating pitching there creatures to lotleth troll then I was. Out of the 3 jund zombie decks I played only 1 ran rancors, and 1 different one ran dred manglers and non ran sign in bloods maybe they thought falkenrath aristocrat would be enough, I am not disagreeing with you point of the decks being piloted by bad or inexperienced players, only that these were what I played against.

Now to flip it I fail to see how falkenrath hast 4 Dmg makes it easier to recover from board wipe unless ur referring to playing him "post" wipe

Also I do understand jund playing the pillar of flames and that being an excellent card I just noticed from the play testing I did and local tourny I attended that BG zombies often overwhelmed jund zombies in about 17 matches out of 22 I've personally piloted against different iterations of jund zombies

Also with the utmost respect intended please don't question my competence in "you seem to forget that" type msg's I didn't mention jund playing those cards because they were not relevant to the points I was trying to make in my first post, I was just trying to mention the weaknesses I saw when the two decks met each other I know jund runs the same creatures I do I just found they extra colour seemed to hinder my opponents against my deck particularly more than it helped and that is all I was trying to illustrate, again I thank you for actually responding to my post but please kat because I'm trying to join the competative ranks please don't assume I cracked my first pack yesterday

And finally I totally agree with appetite for brains in the SB it was an all-star for me and made my game plan much smoother in game 2 or 3 if it went there

Again to everyone posting this from my phone sorry if some things don't make sense will edit it later

At my local we had about 25 people and half the field were Zombie decks, I was the only one running a pure aggro version, and there was one other BG version besides myself, but he opted for the Shaman, and more mid-range game as to my game-plan of swing hard and often.

the remaining half of the people there were playing some version of Jund Zombie's, I'm not saying I'm more than just breaching the competative circuit, but what I did find from playing not guessing and hypothesising was Jund had a harder time with my decfk for a couple reasons.

    1) 8 Shocklands, loosing two life against my BG version was rough enough now multiply that by 7 more shocklands it was very easy for them to think they HAD to have that land untapped to play more blockers.

    2) being able to afford life lose for sign in bloods, to refill my hands gave me often more card advantage then they had.

    3) Lotleth Troll is an all-star in the BG version I played as I often had mana to keep him alive, or creatures in my hand I didnt care if I pitched due to scavenge > Dred Mangler or Gravecrawlers Vs. The Jund version it felt like they couldnt utilise lotleth like i could because they didnt want to pitch there bigger threat creature to keep lotleth alive or take advantage of him.

    4) Rancor made everything a threat

    5) I found recovering from board wipe was a lot easier for myself then them if I just killed half or more of there creatures from block + spot removal

These are my humble opinions on the B/G version, I honestly think and believe the Jund version is a super powerful deck against most other decks in standard right now, I just think that the B/G version is one of its harder match ups thats all. That is why I brought my BG version to my local shop last friday I knew people would be playing Jund because it (according to pro's lol) held the MOST power, and I looked and just thought it had a hard match up against B/G and i think my first place finish is proof of that in some small way.

Now with all that being said, *I think they B/G versaion has A LOT less tools to deal with many other decks U/W/R, U/W, detain is brutal against us I found

Both triggers trigger simultaneously. You get to choose the order in which to put them on the stack, and then the last one put on the stack resolves first. Populate also does not require a target at the time the ability goes on the stack, just when it resolves.

So yes, it is a legal play to stack Growing Ranks's trigger, stack Seance's trigger above it, let Seance's trigger resolve, putting a token copy of a creature onto the battlefield, and then letting Ranks's trigger resolved, giving you a copy of that creature.

As an added bonus, the copy will have been created independent of the Seance, so it will not be exiled at the end of the turn.

The bonus you mention is why I was asking thanks guys may be a fun deck to mess with people this week at FNM

If I have both seance and growing ranks in play could I stack the triggers to return the creature THEN populate or would the triggers happen simultaneously
