Kam paused for a second, debating over the options.

"If these were more reasonable creatures, I would be willing to see if we could negotiate with them. But it seems like we have no choice. You're right, we probably have to fight these creatures for that key." Kam responded, after a minute.

He shifted his weight around, getting rid of the last moment of hesitation. "Let's go with your plan. Take a look around, and find a suitable position." Kam said. "I'm starting to get a bad feeling, and I'm thinking we need to get this done quick."

Kam turned his focus to the road, watching the path.

Kam takes a second longer to look at the Female Orc. She seems to be fully intent on the object in her hand, so he pays more attention to it. Listening to Xiras' question, he takes his focus off the ritual, and returns back to the mage guarding the path.

"The rituals going into full swing. A female orc has brought in something of importance, and it does have a shine to it. I think we may have found the right place." Kam said, shifting his attention to the road. "I believe the shiny object is the key-our employer did say that it would be something that they revere. The question is, are they going to appreciate us taking something that is sacred to them?

Kam sighed, moving his gaze to the dacing flames and drums in the distance. "Personally, I dont like the idea of taking a sacred object to a group of people but it is our job to retreive that, especially if it has dire consequences. Considering our warm welcome, I think we should be prepared for battle." Kam turned to the mage. "What do you think?"

Fine, Fine. Judging tweaked. Doesnt affect who is moving on, just not taking points off for reminder text.

Sorry, meant to say block, but even within block you can see no reminder text happening on abilities if the card needed the space Reweave comes to mind right away but I'm sure there are others. Should eventually have a ruling on this though, I'm always weary to use once used keywords on my cards without reminder text for this reason.

I take a look at Gatherer, and see what the other cards say. If the ability has reminder text with all the cards, then I place reminder text on my card as well. If there are some that have no reminder text, then I leave it off. Just go by past examples.

Ya, realized that as soon as I posted it. Beat me to the edit...lol.

Flash was used in Shadowmoor and Morningtide before the m10 rules keyworded it, I thought. Or am I getting the keyword date wrong and flash was keyworded with 10th edition?

Flash was seen even before that, if im not mistaken. Scout's Warning from Future sight said that it can be played as though it had flash.

As far as taking points off for reminder text...It happened to me with the living weapon mechanic back a couple of contests ago, (including a huge debate in the discussion thread) So I thought it was a universal thing. It doesnt affect standings at all, it just seems that since they were only in one set (Graft, Dissention; Multikicker, Worldwake; Transfigure, Future Sight; Phyrexian Mana, New Phyrexia) that they still deserve reminder text even though most seasoned players understand the keyword. Its just to help the confusion of the newbies.

    Holder for Team Murasa...

    Valley of the Ancient Mists
    Legendary Land M
:symtap:: add two mana of any color to your mana pool. Spend this mana only to cast creature spells.
Lands that are creatures have hexproof.
The mists obscure all, allowing only the worthy to view its hidden treasures

    Bloom of the Mists :4mana::symg::symg:
    Sorcery - U
Put four 0/1 plant creature tokens with Hexproof onto the battlefield. If you control ten or more lands, put four 3/3 plant creature tokens with Hexproof onto the battlefield instead.
"Strange. I didn't see them until I was right on them. Its almost as if the land doesn't want anyone to find them." -Helkal, Explorer

    Crit Holder!

General Observation: I find it funny that everyone went with the graveyard recurrsion theme, but nobody went with the creatures cant attack you until someone planeswalks clause...lol.

    Anywho, on with the judging!
Rudyard: The land is a little confusing to new players, and it will be a constant manipulation of life to get exactly what you want out of it. Also, I dont see how it ties in with the plane at all, unless you are going around Orzhov (like Ghost Council of Orzhov)...5/10
Mundus: Deals with graveyard recurrsion, which is evident on the plane. Did tie in the white creatures get special benefits as well. The buildup for the second ability will take awhile, and probably has to be built around instead of being able to help out any deck. Still, it is a great saver for a Damnation or Wrath of God...7/10
Hyral: Haunt is definately a mechanic of the plane, especailly in Orzhov. Its new to see it on a land (only card that was not a creature that had haunt was Benediction of Moons) but Its hard to imagine terrain actually haunting a person...Still, with Haunt, it usually had a clause in there which said "whenever the creature that CARDNAME haunts dies..." to activate the special ability of haunt...5/10
ParaSiempre: Kinda reminds me of Cabal Coffers with the activation clause. With the mana ability, it will be a little bit confusing to understand at first, but is caught on quick. Will have problems trying to keep track as to what creature you are getting the mana from, but it does tie into the mechanics of the plane card...8/10
Zoomba: Since there are two main phases during each turn (the pre-combat main phase and the post-combat main phase) there are brief windows to take advantage of the mana boost that the land affords. Does deal with the graveyard and ties into the plane...6/10
Moneky playing MTG: Flavor and mechanics match up with the plane, but it seems more suited for Kawigama than for Ravnica (since Kawigama had a heavy Spirit tribal theme going on). Plus, would have like to see the spirits come into play when the creature dies, not when it leaves the graveyard (kinda like the spirit leaving the body). The Flavor does try to pull it together, but it does seem forced...7.5/10
Rimeshade: Love it! Takes advantage of the creatures dying on the plane, and ties in fantastically with the flavor of the plane as well. Ties in with Orzhov flavor-wise, but could be just mono-white as well...9.5/10
Codgod: Where it saves white creatures from a permanent end in the graveyard, it takes a lot of commitment to take advantage of the ability of the land, unless you have a Wrath on hand, have a lot of creature tokens to sack, or proliferate...5/10
KarmicNoose: Fits with the plane, but the mechanics of the card are very awkward. Maybe along the lines of :symtap:: add black mana to your mana pool. Activate this ability only if a non-token black creature you control died this turn. I think you were trying to get it to add :symw::symb: to your mana pool if a W/B mana creature died, but the wording is clunky, especially on a land, where most, if not all lands, say :symtap:: add mana to your mana pool instead of having an ability tap it for mana...5/10
Vexing Arcanix: Ties in nicely with the plane, goes good with both white and black. Has the drawback of needing a creature to die in order to activate it, but goes with the theme of the plane. Flavor fits nicely with the card as well...9/10
Jimmy Groove: Filter land with Orzhov's colors, needs support from other land to get any benefit from it, becasue Fetid Heath can give you mana without waiting on other mana sources to give you mana. The second ability is a little wordy, but does tie in with the mechanics of the plane. Carries a high price, but does give you the benefit of pulling any creature out of the graveyard instead of the creature that just died...8.5/10

    1. Rimeshade
    2. Vexing Arcanix
    3. Jimmy Groove

All three get the bonus points.

*phew* Caught up. Hey guys, long time no talk. Congress decided to pull thier heads out of their collective ...you knows, and now I'm actually starting to see some free time come my way, and acutally start to have a life again :p anywho...

    Wall of Text :2mana::symw:
    Creature - Wall (Unglued :p)
When Wall of Text enters the battlefield, all players lose 10 mins of thier lives reading the flavor text.
    Flavor text: see below
    0/6

Haha, sorry, couldnt resist, but been hanging around in the custom card creation thread as my only outlet of sanity. Im going to pull a Nai, and if anyone is interested in my journal post, see below.

Work has been killer, mostly because of new legislation that affects the banking side (plus the whole thing about the government almost shutting down AGAIN) so more and more customers are freaking out, which they have a right to do-since most of my customers are military, if the government shuts down, they dont get paid. Fun times. The whole 2 government/almost government shutdowns in a year thing is really starting to get on my nerves, but I guess thats what happens when you have a Republican House and a Democratic Senate. Rolleyes But my favorite joke is still relevant, which is a bonus: If the opposite of Pro is Con, is the opposite of Progress...Congress? That, plus the fact that my manager has me on a PIP (performance improvement plan) because my referrals are low is not helping my mood. The only saving grace to that situation is that for the past two weeks I have been in the top percentile on my team for referrals, so I get some satisfaction in showing her up. Downside: I'm beating my self up for waiting until after I get the PIP to show that I can rock this job-Always have to wait for a manager to tell me I'm doing not so good to become stellar at the job. /endrant

On the personal life, Things kinda feel like a dark storm brewing on the horizon, and I'm personally going insane. My brother is still causing trouble with my mom (just got out of jail for possession of meth and intent to sell, thankfully no formal charges filed) but he only seems to call when he needs help, and we never hear from him again until the next time he calls, some months later. Which is wearing down on my mom, because she is taking this the hardest and blames herself for my borther's actions, even though I tell her mutliple times that its not her fault. The only thing that I can do is support her at this point, but I'm getting really frustrated at my brother doing this to my mom all the time. Can't wait for the next phone call collect from the South Dakota Correctional Facility...

On the positive side, I think I'm going to buy a house! Its about time I had my own place, and now that I figured out how to excel at my job, I think I'm going to take that step and start looking. Grin so excited. Plus, its not going to be too much of a difference between paying for the mortgage and rent right now, so things should be going well! Now its on to seeing if I can get a mortgage...Fun times.

In Magic: Having a blast with the new set! Loving that I have a Spider Lord for my spider deck in Arachnus Spinner, and LOVE Angelic Destiny. Been rocking the booster drafts in my local store with mean Green/Red Bloodthirst pulls (been to the finals in 3 booster drafts so far, and even won one). Also am loving the new Commander decks (Counterpunch :symb::symg::symw: is fantastic! Love Ghave) and was able to complete my White Angel Edh Deck (has 4 different Generals, Iona, Shield of Emeria, Akroma, Angel of Wrath, Reya Dawnbringer, and Crovax, Ascendant Hero, but sticking with Iona at the moment). My friends hate it, but It has to be my favorite deck so far, maybe besides my Elesh Norn Deck.

    Let's start a discussion:
How does being gay influence your taste in music/movies/popular culture?

Hehe...ya...personally admitting it, I love the dance scene in gay clubs, and I love any music that has a mindless beat that I can dance to. I love pop, rock, techno/dance/house, and a little hip-hop, and I have been known to Shazam (love that app!) a song on the dance floor I dont recognize, then downloading and playing the heck out of the song later. That is usually where I get most of the new pop remixes and mindless beat songs, with the radio filling out most of the new rock songs (Love Maroon 5's new song!). There are some songs that dont catch on with me at the start, but then after hearing it again and again in the clubs, it kinda wears me down (gotta love desensitization-why I like some Eminem songs...) like Lady Gaga's new song "Marry the Night." At first I didnt like it, but after hearing it over and over at Club Q (local gay bar in the Springs) it caught on, and now I dont mind if it comes on while dancing. So desensitization does play a huge part in music for me, especially when a song gets played over and over on the radio and in the clubs (and you come back to it on your ipod 6 months later, and you wonder: why did I ever like that song in the first place). :p
