What do you think your original quoted text meant?Quote from ryuplaneswalker »It doesn't bother you that people involved with the story are saying things that directly contradict what we see in story?
Angrath is the furious and tone-deaf patriarch,
furious extremely angry.
tone-deaf unable to perceive subtle differences in atmosphere
patriarch the male head of a family or tribe.

hoser2 posted a message on Rakdos Aggro PiratesThat is seriously low to the ground! I would be concerned about casting noncreature spells with only 9 sources. I know it messes with your curve, but I would work some Ruin Raider in place of a few March of the Drowned. The life loss seems lower for you than almost anybody.Posted in: Standard Archives -

Tiro of Meletis posted a message on Masters 25I just hope "for draft" can stop being the catch-all excuse for intentionally poor sets. This product wants to be a reprint set and a draft set and simultaneously failed at both. Too expensive to draft, too cheap on value to bother with. Next time, make a solid set filled with value and people can draft a mess of powerful reprints if they want. People will draft anything. And guess what, they won't feel remorse afterward, either. Because guess what really screws up a draft? People having to take their rare because it's $50 and pass the rest. Or suffocate pulling 10 cent rares for ten dollars. So this set being "for draft" as the priority was never going to work. Stop trying to be so many different things and just deliver on reprints.Posted in: The Rumor Mill -

Cyborg Huey posted a message on SCG preview - Rishadan Port!Posted in: The Rumor MillQuote from dschumm »Are the "We want value" people happy yet. Jace, Recruiter, Chalice, Bridge, Port, Clique..... This set is shaping up pretty boss to me.
Jace, Recruiter, Chalice, Bridge and Clique are all at mythic which will do very little to lower their prices. Port, however, is at rare, so that should lower the cost a significant amount.
So, no, we aren't really happy yet. This is a good start though. -

Rezzahan posted a message on Floating ManaPosted in: Magic RulingsQuote from kolayhe »Mana only empties from "float" as phases end. You go through your untap phase, enter the upkeep phase and float however much mana you want. The Impending Disaster triggers, following that you're still in the upkeep phase. You must use the disk during your upkeep, as if you hit the draw phase, any floated mana will empty.
I feel like a bit of correction on terminology and timing is required here.
There is a difference between steps and phases. Some phases of the turn (specifially the beginning phase, the combat phase, and the end phase) consist of several steps. Mana empties from all players' mana pools as steps and phases end.
When a step7phase begins, first all turn based actions are dealt with (like drawing a card in the draw step), then state based actions are checked, then triggers go on the stack. And only then do players gets priority to do stuff. This means, that you can only respond to an upkeep trigger, you can't do anything before it, like tapping lands for mana. You have to do that after the trigger is already on the stack. -

Absolutely fine honestly, I've been playing with 17 lands up until last week, but knocked it up to 18 lands and opted for 3 ruins instead of 4. The worst hand I've gotten so far is a single ramunap ruins in hand for land, but after mulligan to 6 everything rights itself. Honestly, this deck is really really easy to run with single land hands. I've won a fair few matchups with only 2 lands on the board turn 4. Burning-tree emissary too stronk - one game went mana > foundry street denizen > mana > emissary > emissary > emissary > whacker and they scooped.

If somebody walked up to me and asked for a Sin Prodder I can't be bothered to find out if it's worth more or less than $1.50, so I'd probably just ask for a goblin token in return. Trying to find something worth trading it for is just too much effort and I'm not really getting anything out of it.

I'm not sure if I'll get a warning for this, but from reading your posts and your general tone, you sound like an extremely toxic and unpleasant person/MTG player. If you had said all those things and then expressed regret, I'd have nothing to say, but you don't seem to see the issue with your behaviour. People with attitudes like yours ruin casual events like FNM, events that are pretty much in existence so new players can come and learn and play. How can a player get better at FNM if nobody helps them in their opening weeks as a new player? We don't tolerate such obnoxious players at my LGS. If its what you want to do at a GP event then fine, but I imagine most players at your LGS dislike you for it.
If you live your life with the same logic displayed here, I strongly recommend you do not have children.

It was also used by Jace to follow Baltrice through the Blind Eternities. Her spark in the BE was represented by a charred tree.

I recently did a flash fan fic based on Rigging Runner which you can read here.
So have at it if you will, a short story of 1,000 words based on any single card from any set. No time limit, just a place where we can critique one another's stories.

I'd like to cover the Origins five as well as the nu-Origins five as a priority, and then work towards primary antagonist planeswalkers before moving on to non-planeswalker characters we frequently return to.

EDIT: Did it really need to be split from part 6? It wasn't even that long.
