Efficient Construction is what you play when you have become infamous and people are keeping Dispossess in the side. Also that comment about Traveler's Amulet being strictly better. You need to learn what strictly better means first.

Death's Shadow is actually a fine match up. Life management on that level is still very new for some players. You see very quickly who is actually good with the deck. They are playing the better deck still but I have no problems with it. I welcome the Death Shadow match up. I don't understand the preying upon uninteractive decks comment- Our best match ups are fair decks...

I love me some Groundbreaker but you definitely want to run more land(which most of you don't) if you want to utilize it properly. Having the option to Vines/B Defense/Aspect with Grouundbreaker is great but you need the mana base to set that up first. Also I feel some number of to Collected Company should be played with Groundbreaker as well.

Rhonas's Last Stand is also not what this deck needs. I'm sure it's good enough to find a place in some lists but it doesn't offer anything better than current options considering the draw back. I don't think we can expect the new creatures to get much stronger P/T wise or rather they won't get bigger than they already are without considerable draw backs. What I want and I reasonably think is viable with the constraints of balanced card design is new creatures with comparable P/T but with extra utility such as haste or more recently Narnam Renegade's counter/death touch. You know- Trample/Vigilance some synergy with other cards- something extra. I want it to more easily triggered because as good as Narnam Renegade is for me, I prefer not to run fetchlands and can definitely understand why some people won't use the newer build with Renegades/Fetches over older builds.

That being said, I really don't know where to go with this deck. In Modern, every deck has a bad match up- it's just some decks have more ability do something about it. Due to just being a straight forward aggro deck in a color that lacks sideboard silver bullets- Mono Green Stompy just doesn't have the agency to fight against bad match ups. I think going forward- other colors need to be considered and if it means cutting what some perceive as vital mono green stompy cards then that's a decision you have to make. It's a similar environment with Naya Zoo/Naya Burn, although it's more definitive what is what, there is still some gray area. If you want to splash green for some slower more resilient threats/removal/sideboard tech or red for bolt, try it out. In my opinion, don't worry about staying stompy or not. Try out cards you like or think will be good. Just understand that the current state of Mono Green Stompy is very limited in what it is able to do.

Some extra bit (since I feel like posting today)
    The current bad match ups:

Affinity- Green actually has an okay sideboard for this match up but this deck has been good for almost all of modern's history despite the great sideboard hate available. Our mainboard has no way to race or control so we are really betting on our opponent's drawing terribly or play even more terribly. There are so many cards you don't want to see; Cranial Plating, Etched Champion, Vault Skirge, Arcbound Ravager, Steel Overseer, Master of Etherium- heck even Signal Pest is good against us.

Elves- Again our lack of removal is really bad. They have the chump blockers to usually live to get the overrun if we don't get some nut draw or something. Our sideboard for this is even worse since it's either more Dismembers or Prey Upon which is usually not enough.

Tron Variants- Both traditional tron and eldrazi tron just suck for us. We aren't reliably fast enough to beat them down before they can just play a big spell that beats us down. Eldrazi Tron is a little different but still has the tools to just be a nightmare. Again we want them to just draw poorly or misplay as our saving grace.

A lot of other match ups that may be tough can get a lot easier with experience and skill. While the ones above- there isn't much we can do other than play our best and hope your opponent draws poorly.

Can't say I'm disappointed. 19 lands and 3 of them come into play tapped and playing 7 3 drops? I could nit pick more but there's no reason to.

People still playing SB Disposess since T Gearhulk is one of the main win con for UR Control and V Gearhulk is still a thing sometimes. Marvel was by far the worst match up because Engulf the Shore and Baral's Expertise was terrible for us. Control may be compete with it but Marvel played both the proactive and control which gives too much pressure for this deck. They also main board Censor and Negate with Deliverances along with clocks from Marvel or Rogue Refiner/Virtuoso.

Negate is at most a 1 of. They mostly play censors. Main phasing Whir lets your opponent know exactly what they need to do. If you are going into a Marvel match up and you are more scared of the counter spells main board than their actual game plan, I don't know what to say. It's also his deck building, with extra slots for equipment he really loses a lot of agency on what he can do and what he can't do which pigeon holes himself to do the main phase play. Fine it's not terrible play considering the version he brought in but it's not something you want to see. Also Marvel decks run like 2-3 Dissenter's Deliverance in the main so this match up was probably just over.

His list and play were terrible. He obviously doesn't play the deck much since he main phased whir of invention to gain 2 life when he wasn't threatened for lethal. His list gives a different angles on getting card advantage but overall is way worse against disruption and has to tap out a lot so he can't play a control game. Disappointed I clicked that link.

It's really hard to play against Marvel decks right now. Keeping counter mana up for Marvel isn't really a strategy and they side in more artifact hate/counters post board.

I'm enjoying these different stompy builds using a distinct different strategy. Keep it up and post some results/observations.

I'd agree. Sorry didn't see the context but I would not play Gemstone Mine than play it.

Fetching just seems better. Having to use something 3 times just got revolt seems excessive.

I mean more than half of the top 8 are bad match ups for Death Shadow but definitely interesting to see so few Snapcasters though. Nice GW list with the new -1/-1 counters infinite mana for Ballista.

@phaircaron is right but if you are playing 4-6 3 drops, you really shouldn't have room for Tuskers in the first place.

I don't even play Inspiring Statuary and it is not necessary for this deck pre amonkhet since you could bank on just reservoir. It's a win more card when you want to make the deck as consistent as possible, you need to cut it. Going forward, it might be needed to play a variety of different threats.

By Force is better in the overall meta as well. I would never consider playing Release over it.... You can play it for 2 mana, it's just the better card that gives you more options to curve with.
