Correct, you can counter the Phage the Untouchable lose the game triggered ability with stifle. phage will stay on the battlefield and you will not lose the game
I know that if an effect would end the turn anything on that stack would be removed, however Day's Undoing end the turn effect is part of the resolution of the spell so sphinx's tutelage triggers have not even been put on the stack yet. Day's Undoing reminder text only states that spells and abilites on the stack are removed but makes no mention to one's that have yet to even be put on the stack.
Edit: sorry to post before looking at the rulings for day's undoing but i noticed this in the rulings "If any triggered abilities do trigger during this process, they’re put onto the stack during the cleanup step. If this happens, players will have a chance to cast spells and activate abilities, then there will be another cleanup step before the turn ends."
Does this mean that 7 sphinx tutelage triggers would go on the stack during the cleanup step?
People still don´t read properly. WOTC said that both allied and enemy would be supported equally in blocks. Now, if you noticed, KTK/FRF will cycle out with M15, and DTK will be left legal. In M15-DTK-FRF, there is support for ally (Fetch) and enemy (Pain). As well as the lifegain lands. DTK isnt a multicolour set. Therefore it didn't need duals.
We already got Fetches reprinted. TWICE. Don't get overly greedy and entitled.
KTK and FRF do not rotate out with m15. When battle for zendikar comes out theros block and m15 will rotate only. when next block after zendikar comes out then KTK and FRF will rotate.
I think the issue with this card is that most of the multi color permanents your looking to hit are white which Glare of Heresy already deals with plus being able to hit mono colored white cards.
It will see some play but I think the hate cards we have now plus ones coming up in this set will push this away at least until rotation.
I think one of the sleepers in the set is Chief of the Edge 2 mana for 3/2 is fine on its own but giving +1 power to warriors when we have a decent amount of playable warriors already, one drops like Tormented Hero and Bloodsoaked Champion have an issue right now with attacking through Sylvan Caryatid and being able to make them 3 power is huge right now.
As the set goes on and we see more warriors potentially standard playable ones this card only gets better.
First of all what should be stopping you is getting disqualified for cheating because it will become obvious to your opponent and the head judge that you were intentionally missing the reveal. I don't know the specifics if double game-loss even exists but you actually have to win two games or have more wins then your opponent(1-0-X) after extra turns to win a match.
Like:
The demon can be used with spirit of labirint or thief but playing hin in an agro shell will lead to ( I think) at least one attack against the control player or mono B ( or at least have them killing it on their turn or after)
The Red guy wants to be played against control deck but if you have titans strenght exiled with it after you have attacked is a huge letdown maybe is a target for chheaps bestows

I think a lot of people misread the demon and think the opponent gets the card on their upkeep when they don't actually draw until your next turn after you play it.
Since your casting Rites of Flourishing without paying its mana cost, whether or not you have green mana is irrelevant. As long as the card can be legally cast without paying its mana cost you have to cast the card.

Let's all be honest with ourselves: Control needs some help. UWR Wafo is the only real control deck in the format, and it hasn't even Top 8'd the last THREE GP's. Sword of the Meek could possibly help UWR, but it also opens up the option for Tezzeret or other artifact-based control decks. All the other archetypes in Modern are fine, just look at those three gp's I talked about. Aggro is fine, Ramp is fine, Tempo is fine, and Midrange and Combo rule the format.

I don't really play legacy much, but I'm just baffled that this card is still legal. Just. Wow.
Vintage: Unrestrict Gifts Ungiven
I mean, Jace is just better. No one even plays their allowed singelton, so....
I agree with unrestricting gifts ungiven in vintage it really is just a worse jace.
So you want your control decks to run 2 cards that are bad on there own but are a COMBO together? yeah that makes perfect sense I'm sure it won't devolve into another combo deck.

You can choose you lose the game and nothing will happen. You can't lose the game for any reason outside of external reasons like judge rulings.
Otherwise this guy is strong enough to see some play on the front in W based aggro decks and has a huge reward if your able to flip him.
