There were 32 copies of Smuggler's Copter in the top 8 that means every deck played 4 of the same card. When is the last time there were 32 copies of a card in standard at the top 8 of an SCG open?
They do combo with each other in the draft. If you have a face up illusionary informant and draft spire phantasm you can use illusionary informant ability to make sure you always guess correctly the card there gonna pick from the pack.
People seem to miss the whole AND AND of the card because of the convoluted wording.
Think of it as:
Each player chooses
- CASTER takes an extra turn.
- CASTER gains control of a permanent
Now you see that in a 2-player game you pick option A and the opponent picks B. You get both.
And it only gets crazier from there with more players.
Looking at the english version on the site it says "For each opponent who voted time, you take an extra turn after this one. For each opponent who voted money, you gain control of a permanent that player controls."
It says only opponent votes have an impact, your vote doesn't appear to do anything unless the english wording on the site is wrong.
I think that Bruna, the Fading Light makes Gisela, the Broken Blade playable and not the other way around. The fact that if Gisela dies early on Bruna can threaten to bring her back and transform in same turn makes her a very dangerous 4 drop.
Also want to mention that Bruna can bring back Archangel Avacyn so that's a thing.
Bruna seems like a really powerful 7 drop, even if its just returning a 3-4 drop human or angel it seems really good. Even returning avacyn back to the battlefield this seems like 1-2 of in decks that can reliably cast this and return something. Even if bruna gets countered her cast trigger will still bring something back.
I think bruna makes gisela playable just because if gisela dies early then it makes it easy for bruna to bring her back and transform.
That lodestone golem restriction is interesting. Its the only creature on the restricted list and its been like 20 years since a creature was restricted in vintage.
Its amazing that there is actually a creature being restricted in vintage
Two drops that have value in the later part of the game are very likely to see constructed play. If there was grindy CoCo deck in the format this would be the perfect two drop to go along with Sylvan Advocate
For 5 mana it looks like it can be playable. You will need an additional draw engine. It seems there is one. Sin Prodder I'm not overly sure on three colors for this standard. There might be faster better two color decks that are still playing dragons of tarkir cards. If there is a good enough life gain mechanic such as feed the clan or some other kind of life mechanic then sure. At the moment though I'm not sure. RGB tends to have a lot of great two mana or less catch all removal spells. I don't know how many of those kinds of black spells exist in standard at the moment. I know that there are a lot of cheap white removal spells.
Works well with Tireless Tracker being able to play an additional land and get more clues which draw more cards

This seems like one of the most busted cards they could print for bant company and might push it to just being better then bant humans
Exiling any spell with this is such a huge swing + if you hit it off CoCo and exile an opponents spell I just don't see a way they can win.
I think this might be top 3 if not the best card in the set for standard.

This is not a control card, this is way more of a tempo based card. You want pressure on the opponent otherwise this spell gets much weaker.

It's a very powerful card in G/W humans deck and the Bant CoCo decks.
Good to see that someone made a better version and is doing well with B/G colorless style deck
