Currently I have 3. Should I bother trading for/buying the fourth so I can have my playset? Seems like most lists are running 2-3 max, but I was just wondering...
No, you're wrong here. Only bad drafters immediately change colors for a 7 cost card that isn't that great anyway that late in the process. If you often draft with people who would switch into red (assuming, of course, they aren't in red already) upon seeing a pack 2, pick 2 Furyborn Hellkite, you're simply drafting with poor players.
Good drafters have the acute ability to pass good cards in favor of deck consistency. I've passed Titans and planeswalkers in pack 2 and 3 when they're off color, and I would do so every time, unless I'm somehow mono-color after pack 1.
What do you get for winning? I get that passing Titans and Planeswalkers might be the right move if you want a consistent deck, but will winning (or, in the case that you scrub out) make up for the loss of such good constructed cards/trade bait?
Do some of you guys actually do this? Buy a box of a new set and hope to have enough pulls to trade/sell at hype prices? Or is this a suggestion for the OP because he WANTS to buy a box to upstart his collection? I'm just curious.
I almost never buy boxes anymore. I bought 2 zendikar but pulled a bunch of stuff, including multiple fetches...I bought a WW box a few months ago and tried to sell it on the forum, but no one wanted it, so I opened it and sold the Jace/Stoneforge and kept the rest of the box...and I bought one other one a while back, I forget. Now I don't even consider it.
I think it is generally accepted that buying a box for profit/making your money back is best done within the first week of it being released, while hype prices are still super high. Then just move the stuff you get.
After that, don't expect a major return or anything. You can still do well, or at least have a lot of cards for your collection, but it's not as "profitable."
What happens to Jaces' price tag if he gets unbanned on the 20th? Not trying to get into an argument of whether he will or not and why...I'm just asking.
I'd say that it'd go up a little bit, then settle back down to where it's at currently (well, maybe a little higher).
Don't quote me on this; I'm not very good at speculation.
Ah, I see it now. I knew he was kneeling, but I wasn't sure what his arm was doing. IMO the left hand was kinda hard to make out, so I didn't realize it was resting on his knee. Thanks for clearing that up.
If Angelic Destiny becomes popular becomes of Geist (and it looks like it might just because he's so bonkers), I'm predicting there will be a lot of Spellskite wars.

Aww jeez...that'll be interesting.
Does anyone know what he's holding in his left hand? It definitely not "just" an arm.
Yeah, I'm thinking about going for Esper as well. I'm not entirely sure how I'm gonna construct it yet. Black might be more of a splash for Liliana and discard.
True, but that was a format where Wraths are not any good. Day of Judgment is not good against Red Deck Wins, Caw Blade and is iffy against the current state of Valakut. Its also not very good against UB. Come rotation, aggro decks always rise back to power, or atleast see play more so than later in the format. Besides, DOJ is not the reason we are trying to justify white, O Ring, Purge, Reinforcements etc. Are the reasons why.
I do like Vapor Snag as well. It just seems like a card that we would not want to play but might have to play. Hopefully we will get something that is close to an Into the Roil reprint or an early, cheap white instant removal spell.
Disperse comes pretty close. Of course, losing the kicker makes it a little less appealing. I love Unsummon and Vapor Snag a lot, and I have been wanting to use them competitively for a while, but I feel like Disperse would be more preferable, since it can not only bounce creatures, but permanents as well.
I like Visions of Beyond a lot, and I think I'm gonna play that alongside Snapcaster Mage and quite possibly Think Twice. I might even play Forbidden Alchemy as well.
Even though I like Preordain 10x better than Ponder, I'll probably just play Ponder in its absence, and hell...will probably run Gitaxian Probe as well (er...probably play this in combo...not sure if I want to play this AND Visions and all the other draw spells). I really wish Visions wasn't rare though. My LGS is selling them at $7 a pop, which is kind of a turn-off.
Uh, that's every deck. There isn't a single deck in any format that work's if it doesn't draw the right cards. That's called variance. It's also a horrible argument against using Visions.
A better one would be pointing out that you are using 4 slots to run a cantrip, which is exactly what Think Twice is at a higher initial cost, and a higher secondary cost with a Tempo loss. It's not like you aren't going to just flash the needed card at that moment anyways. Visions gives another option for less manas.
I don't think he's talking against using Visions, rather against using Snapcaster Mage for the draws instead of saving him for Mana Leak/Dismember.
I'd probably start the format with Ponder, Visions, Snapcaster, and Think Twice in my deck, and tweak it from there.

I'm not entirely sure if I'm gonna build a deck around them, but I'm a little interested. Is it worth the investment?
By long-term, how long are we talking? For as long as it's in standard, or can it be broken in other formats?
What kind of physical contact are you guys suggesting to the OP? Like a light jab on the arm?
If they're crap, then probably worth crap.
But I could be wrong. They ARE old...
I really think they're just gonna be dirt cheap common prices honestly.

I'm not sure if I understand what you mean...
You can definitely troll people you don't like with it though. That's worth something. lol
Why not just run Invisible Stalker instead? For only one more mana, it also gets Hexproof.
