Actually there are plenty of match-ups where Emrakul is a KO and they play cards like Path. Burn, Abzan and Ad Nauseam come to mind where I really like Emrakul because sometimes they can have Leyline of Sanctity and it's useful to have an 1 hit KO. Deflecting Palm is annoying, but that's what Pact of Negation is for.
Has anybody found any effective plans for beating Jund Shadow?
Mana
2 Desperate Ritual
4 Simian Spirit Guide
4 Temple of Malice
1 Blood Crypt
4 Bloodstained Mire
3 Mountain
2 Blackcleave Cliffs
5 Swamp
SB
3 Pact of Negation
1 Thoughtseize (Combo)
2 Collective Brutality (Burn, Combo. Don't need vs blue decks)
2 Vandalblast (Relic/Cage are popular so I prefer this over Shatterstorm)
1 Pyroclasm
2 Blood Moon (GR Titan, Amulet. Don't need vs Tron I think)
2 Engineered Explosives (Answers RIP, Death's Shadow)
1 Emrakul, the Aeons Torn (sub for Bobo against Path decks or decks that dealing 15 is enough)
1 Boseiju, Who Shelters All
Other potential options: Terminate, Fatal Push, Sudden Shock. I think I'm happy with the current removal suite though.
Bob here, I've been doing really well on MODO leagues with the deck. The increase in ramp and disappearance of Infect has been a big boon to the deck. Cathartic Reunion is great, but I side it out against blue decks. Still, it's so powerful because you almost always have cards you are fine with pitching (extra creatures, extra mana, extra combo pieces). I'll probably do a more in depth write-up next month for CFB, but I'm convinced this deck is good again.
I will also try to stream the deck in the coming weeks. twitter.com/silyaznfoo and twitch.tv/griselpuff
Interested in learning your strategy for the mirror. I played it once and it seemed like it was about assembling unlife + lab man, drawing your deck and packing their spells until they ran out of angel's graces. How did you sb?
To be clear, I played my own list. 4 visions 4 looting 3 whisper 1 manamorphose 2 izzet charm. So my list has more cantrips and is more consistent than the br version. Jace was bad, scheming was a "do nothing or win" card which is not my playsyle
Made Day 2 with blue. Serum visions is gas, scheming is trash. The blue version is more consistent and has more of a surprise element. Beat gr tron skred red ur twin grixis twin burn affinity infect lost to bogles and affinity

Two ways to beat Eidolon: 1) Remove it
2) Phyrexian Unlife, Ad Nauseam on their turn, Untap and Lightning Storm (can also Slaughter Pact it)
Night's Whisper enables Breach. Breach requires 7 cards (5 mana + Breach + Guy).
