3 of these decks were being played at my PTQ yesterday. I kept my eye on one of them because I could not find the other 2 until later. He ended his rounds at 5-3, which is pretty respectable for a new combo deck. Another guy was actually 4-1-1 and then had to leave due to unknown circumstances and then the last person went 1-2 drop due to not know the deck at all. The deck is VERY powerful but the best build is yet to be seen. My most obvious gripe is Thoughtseize, it is good, but I'd MUCH rather play Cabal Therapy in that slot. As stands now, the deck has **** hard times with CounterBalance and MUC decks, which no one plays..or shouldn't play. So if we can tweak the combo to be as fast but more resiliant then it allready is, then this deck will go far.
We know that that is Kenji's build but when he posted the comment I'm pretty sure there was a different list there, notice the edit tag on the bottom.:cool2:
I went to the Great Lakes Regionals and went 3-1 and then decided to drop due to the fact that my lack of Abilify (meds) was starting to kick in and I really could not concentrate. I saw both Gimpy and Liek there. I play Ponza.
I was the Fat Kid with the Bow Tie on my head, you couldn't of missed me.:)
The thing is when you get the White Epic out is basically game over, like I said you can get out Hondens and a Genju of the Realm and just annihilate your opponet. I see it being run effectivly since Heartbeat is now more popular and Sakura and Reach are being run 4 and 4 in every deck.
It may have already been discussed but ummm...has anyone realize how good Enduring is? Genju's are no coming out each turn, Genju of the Realm is going to be funny as hell to play easily. Cage of Hands, Intruder Alarm, Hondens, there are plenty of awsome enchantments people look over because of cost or just not wanting to waste mana on it, I think this card will definitly see play.:)
I have a feeling that this deck can be very competative and might even Top 8 at a regionals. I've beaten TaN, MGA, MBC, and Rock numerous times, MUC is cake after SB, all hte matchup's get easier after SB, anyone plan on playing this at regionals?
If you get Shoals, use them, goes along famously with Tallowisp. Hokori is a good card no doubt about it, but it also cost 4 to get out and WW needs it's mana for other things, I'd really only run 1-2. Kami of False Hope is Blah. It's another Spirit 1/1 Fog but other then that it's pretty useless since your opponet does not kill you in one turn if you have it out.
I really think that this deck should be run in 3 colors. Possibly splasing the other to, but the whole deck is like a big splash. Have the base colors be Green/Blue/Black and splash Red/White, but 5 Colors like what is here is not going to be that consistant, this deck merely won off of surprise value.

Sickness will also be in attendance to that one.
