I don't think any tuned or competitive list should play these, the potential for blowout by LD is just too great of a risk. Playing one of these on the draw, your opponent untaps, smiles and plays a basic then Capsize or Vindicate your Karoo. That's just ugly. Only an extremely niche discard and graveyard based deck could ever make them powerful. There are only so many lands like Halimar Depths or Bojuka Bog out there.
I wouldn't play them unless I desperately needed color fixing in a low budget 3 or 5 color list.
Don't let this make you underestimate the strength of Origin Spellbomb with Salvaging Station. Origin Spellbomb and any free sacrifice effects like Ashnod's Altar or Phyrexian Altar should win you the game on he spot. Origin Spellbomb is one of, if not the strongest cog in a Station deck.
I've only played it/seen it played a few times so far, and every time it's been an emergency reset as opposed to a winning move. Nonetheless, the card is by definition a great single card strategy.
I don't mean to state the obvious here, but thanks for keeping an eye on this card. The power is immediately obvious in a multiplayer format. For the record I don't think it needs banning, just one of the great cards printed for Commander in this set.
I think it's one of the worst tutors black has to offer, it's no less than fifth down the list by any measure, which means you probably shouldn't be playing it.
Increasing Ambition has been mentioned in this thread as an alternative to Demonic, Vampiric, Seal et al, and I am led to believe that a tutor with flashback is one of the biggest bombs in the format. Slow rolling it until you can guarantee yourself 8 mana after paying 5 means you can probably set up a win in two or less turns. That's pretty good.
I actually quite like it, I guess it would be super overpowered if it put the basic into play tapped or could grab Forests but the psuedo-Regrowth effect is quite good and Flying is as relevant as ever.
It's too situational to be a 7cmc win con. You couldn't just top deck it, cast, and win.
You'd come pretty damn close, unless you were so far behind in the first place that your chances of winning were very low anyway. Sure it's not Tooth and Nail or Exsanguinate or whatever but it might be just as strong. Windfall after this? Unbelievably devastating.
Edh should be renamed to combo, control or don't bother tbh
I always find it funny how control players tell people to play more answers when defending cards. Having a problem with control? Play more control. Getting comboed out? Run a faster combo.
I'm gonna stop posting here now see y'all later

Austere Command is a versatile card that can save your bacon a thousand different ways. Terminus is gnarly too.
Grave Titan is as good as it gets at the 6 drop slot as far as aggressive creatures go. He also plays well with Contamination

You're right, he was banned ENTIRELY for his tutoring, ye olde 6/6 Trample for 4GG is hardly abusive.

Sigged because it's hilarious
