Thanks, Silvercut, I am looking for another name for him. Maybe Boccas?
@Mman: Fixed. I did originally intent for his ultimate to be all instants and sorceries.
Maybe I should up the +1 ability, but the general intention was that once you reach his ultimate, you'd be almost guaranteed a spellstorm hitting. Seven spells of your choice makes for a far more interesting strike than four. Though that might be able to work... Maybe up his loyalty to four or five?
I actually like how it turned out. Little disappointed, but I like the way Phyrexia isn't a single hive-mind style operation anymore. The way they expanded out was interesting and colour-correct while still being Phyrexian.
Sylvos, the Mad Bard (3)
2UR
Planeswalker - Sylvos
+1: Exile an instant or sorcery spell from your hand.
-3: Duplicate target instant or sorcery
-10: Cast all instants and sorceries exiled by Sylvos without paying their mana costs.
I'm not sure about the second ability. This is meant to be a red/blue planeswalker to support a spell-heavy strategy. I'm more of a flavour person, so I'm not that good with game mechanics. I'd appreciate any help I could get straightening this guy out.
For those who are interested; the card in question...

Tap target creature. It does not untap during it's controller's next two untap phases. 'Oh, the deliciousness.' - Vorinclex, Voice of No Longer Hungry
Regitnui, Lost Skyknight.
+1: Deal 3 damage to target creature
-3: Attacking creatures get +3/+0 until end of turn.
-7 Prevent all damage dealt to target player this turn.
Born Ravinican, Regitnui enlisted in the Boros Legion at a young age. He faithfully served his duty, earning a place in the Skyknights. His spark ignited during the breaking of the Guildpact. When the Parhelion attempted to dock atop Sunhome, he was almost crushed, but instead blindly planeswalked to Bant, Shard of Alara, where he found he was shunned for his red magic. He became Unbeholden, forced to scavenge at the outskirts of society until he learned to 'walk.
Having pawned almost all of his armor, in a trance on the edge of starvation, Regitnui managed to at last 'walk to another plane; Mirrodin, where he was nursed back to health byan Auriok tribe. Unable to take off his last remaining armor, it fused with the spiked-gold metal that grew over his wounds. He now fights with them, his red magic considered a valuable asset against marauding nim, rather than a condemning flaw. As the Phyrexians encroach on his adopted home, he finds himself re-learning the skills that the Boros honed, taking to the air as the first Auriok Skyhunter.

Seriously, I consider myself RW. I enjoy Green's tendancy for 'Hulk Smash' tactics, and I like Blue's counter/twist spells, but IRL I enjoy my freedom yet boundary myself with a personal code of ethics. I do have a mischevious streak along with a habit of act first think later, which is my red side. My white tendancies show in caring for the community at large yet ignoring individuals I dislike.
I might write a better story for that character at some point... Send me a message if you think that's a good idea.
There are enough differences between this phyrexia and the old one to call them separate civilisations:
1. Centralized leadership vs fractured politicking
2. One colour vs all five
3. Externally motivated (yawgmoth forcing them to invade) vs internally motivated (expand outwards because we must)
I think this is what phyrexia was like before yawgmoth ever influenced them. Before he sent them on his revenge mission.
I remember Koth beating him for making it... Good times...
Anyway, my theory (and I'm going to hold to this, as it has a lot of story potential) is that Mirrans win, but Glissa becomes a planeswalker. Have we already debunked that?
Threshold named an entire race of abilities after it. Metalcraft was merely the most recent form.
This explains (sorry if this was already stated) why Sorin is in Core 2012 instead of Liliana. She's playing in the theme block. So Garruk will probably also be there. I'm all for a change from Mirrodin and all those artifact things. The Myr are the only artifact I like.
I beleive that's what will win the war for the Mirrans. The Phyrexians that invaded Dominaria were a unified force, driven by the then Father of Machines, Yawgmoth. The Praetors are too individual to work together without a similar force driving them. Karn isn't in any position to unify them, and if I read bolas right, he doesn't want them that unified again either.
You can make your own story. That's half the fun. For example, a few years back A Savor the Flavor column had a story about Martyred Rusulka. More recently, there was one about Karn (Corrupted Conscience, Praetor's Counsel)
Garruk is trying to hunt Liliana to either kill her or get her to remove that curse she put on him and then kill her. She basically cut Garruk off from nature with that curse, so he will do anything to get back his previous ability.
And anyway, Look who's replacing Ajani in Core 2012. Gideon Jura. If I read that desktop right:
> White: Gideon Jura
> Blue: Jace Beleren
> Black: Sorin Markov
> Red: Chandra Nalaar
> Green: Garruk Wildspeaker
Are our 'walkers in this next Core. I like the idea of bringing Gideon and Sorin back.
[IC]Hi, I'm a RGW-aligned planeswalker from Zendikar. Hopefully the lack of ground movement here won't be too boring. If someone could point me towards where they keep the Gnarlids, I'd be grateful. My wolves are kinda hungry. I enjoy watching nature, riding bears and frying random elves with Lighting Bolt.
[OOC] Hi, I'm a recent player who likes the background lore of the universe (As shown by my previous intro). I'm a bit of a writer, so if you're wondering that's what's advertised in my sig (Borrowed it from another forum i browse. Will change) it's my current project. Planeswalkers I admire are Sarkhan (before he went nuts), Chandra and Elspeth. My favourite block so far is Zendikar, and favourite set of that is Worldwake. I construct my own decks and enjoy the classic beatdown strategy. My two competitive decks (not to say I compete) are a RG Wurm deck and a WR Knight deck.
