I have no particular objection to upping her P/T either.

That one, Raptor, feels like the best. It keeps the Spellslinger support I put in, while the discard ability links her to the other spellslingers.

I don't agree with the humanity on the loot having a cost. She's a mythic, she's supposed to be wildly powerful.

    It did, Raptor.

I designed that base Teksa because I felt like the spellslingers needed a really strong support card rather than another 'C, tap, discard' ability. Teksa, as the leader of the largest gang on the flats, will have a certain amount of ability to make people work together, even if it's not on the level of Allester Marshall. With Teksa, the disparate spellslinger cards have a reason to be in the same deck, just as she gives the Mavericks a reason to work together.

I actually think this is fine as-is. This is, at the moment, a powerful card which will get better as the block evolves. That's why it's worded "creature" rather than "you" - because you're the one paying the cost, but the creature has the activated ability.

Creatures cannot discard cards, therefore your card won't work as intended. The way to phrase it would be "Whenever you discard a card as part of an ability cost".

Overall, it's a good thing because it means the game is growing.

But it can ever so easily slide to the point of unaffordability. Especially in my country where the cost of living is rising quickly, I'm getting to the point where I'm seriously considering giving up buying Magic. And if you stop buying, you lose the ability to trade. If you can't trade, you lose deck effectiveness. Your decks get left behind, playing in tournaments is no longer fun. And then... X_X

Is Double Strike (having two guns) and Intimidate (her reputation precedes her) too much? If so, I'd be happy with First Strike and Deathtouch.

Let's not forget, the haste allows her to attack as soon as she comes out. It makes flavour sense to me, because Teksa would always come out shooting, to make as much of an impression as possible. Being a 3-power creature for 3 (albeit multicoloured) mana, she's something you want swinging as soon as possible.

As for T3, we'd just need to change his name to something like "Marshalls Sheriff" and remove the legendary type. His abilities are okay.

Whenever a player discards a card, target opponent reveals their hand and discards a card that shares a card type with the discarded card. If they cannot ~ deals 2 damage to that player.

This looks like a loop. 'whenever a player' includes the effect it triggers, so you can go back and forth each of you tossing (say) artifact cards until it ends. I'd still rather have it "Whenever you discard" rather than "a player discards".

I didn't want Teksa to be a Spellslinger for two reasons. Firstly, we already have a legendary spellslinger; Triple-Trick Tony. Secondarily, Teksa as a character isn't in charge of the Mavericks because she can outfight them all, but because she gets them to work strategically. Therefore her ability isn't just another spellslinging effect, but something that makes your opponent dread spellslingers even more. The Mavericks without Teksa are thugs with guns. The Mavericks with Teksa are an army.

Remove the ability, we have a 3/2 vanilla. Fair enough. If we added Double strike and haste? Now we have a card that is three mana(?) and hits for six its first turn out, with the potential to hurt the opponent for two more for ever other spellslinger and discard spell.

[i]Art Description: A young woman stands in one of the streets of the Brass City (see style guide). Her blonde hair is in a braid down her back while brass goggles adorn her forehead. [i]Art Description: A portly man in his late forties leans over a desk covered in papers. He is dressed in a suit, with a golden watch chain dangling from a pocket. We might have discussed that. I guess Big Horn (rival gang leader) could be an alternative RG mythic.

Fear is now intimidate. Intimidate is secondary in red. I see no problem there at all.

    But anyway, the Mythic Legends:
    W/U mana ???
    U/B mana Andony Carnigig/Robber Baron
    B/R mana Teksa Rend
    R/G mana Gypsum, Cyrus' Eye
W/G mana Oriel, Crafter of Nature

I have a proposal for the last two. We'll need a name for our WU mythic. Laverne, perhaps? Our Robber Baron character represents UB, and Teksa Rend, the leader of the outlaw band known as the Mavericks slides herself neatly into the BR position.

    Gypsum, the Last Dragon 3RG
Art Description: This dragon has white scales, though her left front leg and shoulder, and part of her wing on the same side has been replaced with polished copper (or a similarly-coloured metal). She is standing on a mountain, looking across at a tall structure (the Spire) with her wings spread, seemingly enjoying the sunlight on her body. Forest can be seen in the distance.
Mood: A true icon of the natural world triumphantly restored.

Legendary Artifact Creature - Dragon (M)
    Flying, Hexproof
:Sym2r:: ~ gets +1/+0 until end of turn
:sym2g:: ~ gains trample until end of turn
"I fear her, but I know she wishes me no harm. If she did, I would already be dead." Cyrus, Steam Prophet
    4/6

Gypsum came up in a discussion between me and Moon-E in the creative thread about dragons on Archester. She's the Last Dragon, and a friend of Cyrus, the Archestrian Planeswalker Prophet. He saved her with the same clockwork technology he taught the elves to keep the natural world of Archester alive.

Quote from "Planeswalker"s Guide to Archester: Dragons" »
Dragons on Archester were once the undisputed masters of the Flats, Draken Mountains and the jungle. Taurox, canid, viashino and even human were all regular prey, with only the aven of Talonsreach able to defend themselves from the dragons' predations.

    All that changed when the prophet-planeswalker Cyrus brought mana-steam technology to Archester. The dragon's natural defenses of claw, scale and fang found themselves ill-equipped to deal with the modern spellslingers. Soon, through a combination of starvation and outright murder, dragons became not only legendary, but mythical. The only trace of the magnificent beasts was a single entry, in a single book in the Talonsreach Archives;

    "12-05-35:
Scouts report the last nesting site has been abandoned. Only eggshell fragments could be found. Perhaps Archester truly has seen the last of the Dragons."

Perhaps in the most ironic moment in Archester's history, it was the prophet-planeswalker who proved them wrong. During the construction of his Spire, the prophet came across what he could only describe as 'a living mountain'. Badly wounded and half-starved, the dragon was barely strong enough to lift its head at Cyrus' approach. touching the mind of the great creature, Cyrus learned of the massacre of its kind, and with the assistance of the elves, saved the dragon from its death.

Half-clockwork, the white dragon known as Gypsum now acts as Cyrus' guard and closest companion. Reliant on the very magic that killed her kind to survive, she lends Cyrus her intimate knowledge of the time when living creatures filled the jungles. Though, she has one secret. Deep below the Spire, in a cave carved into the deepest parts of the mountains named for her kind, she has hidden the legacy of her race; the last dragon eggs.

    Oriel, Evolution Engineer [mana}3ggw[/mana]
Art Description: A young elf watches two large clockwork creatures fighting. He seems calm and unharmed.
    Mood: Evaluative curiosity.
    Legendary Creature - Elf Shaman
If a creature would enter the battlefield with one or more +1/+1 counters on it, it enters with double that many counters instead.
2G: Target creature you control fights another target creature.
"I find that laboratory work only goes so far. Eventually, the best forge for new designs is nature herself."
    2/3

Oriel was a proposed Green legend/planeswalker, so I adopted the name and repurposed him as a Clockwork support mythic, putting my Evolutionary Engineering card on a stick.

Now that was a good story. It appeared to be a story about a boy crushing on a salesgirl who may or may not return his feelings, then turns around with a sting in its tail, just like the Dimir. It also portrays Andra very well, so much so that I'm now going referring to Bane Alley Broker as Andra.

And most of all, it shows us that Dimir has real people in it, rather than just brainwashed, duplicitous shapestealers.

This sounds interesting to me. That said, we are costing this 1RR?
Any more I think we may have a tibalt.

How do you mean 'have a tibalt'?

That actually saves me some trouble. I was canvassing the local Magic players, both ex- and current to do a little playtesting for us, since we're so close to completion. Now I can tell them to check out the cards on Multiverse for the constructed testing.

But anyway, Mari's abilities. Are we happy with:
[+2]: You may choose a creature you control. If you do, until your next turn, damage that would be dealt to ~ is dealt to that creature instead.
    [-?]: Mark for Death
    [-?]: Urabrask Emblem
