Just to be clear about Livewire Lash, the effect goes off when the equipped creature becomes the target of a spell.
Scenario A: I cast Mutagenic Growth targeting a creature, let's say a Viral Drake, which is equipped with the lash. My opponent answers by casting Shatter or the like on the lash. My interpretation is that the opponent still gets the two damage/poison counters, because the ability clearly says "becomes the target" and not "when the spell resolves."
Scenario B: My opponent casts Shatter on my equipped lash, but I respond by casting Mutagenic Growth on the drake. What happens then? Does my opponent still get the poison counters?
I attack my opponent with a 2/2 Rot Wolf. My opponent blocks with another 2/2 creature (or a 3/2, 4/2, whatever you'd like); both the Wolf and the blocker go to their graveyards. Do I still draw a card as per the Wolf's ability?
I am two poison counters away from winning a game. I have a Rot Wolf equipped with a Livewire Lash. May I cast Corrupted Conscience on my own wolf, thus triggering the lash / wolf combo?
I have a Rot Wolf equipped with Livewire Lash. My opponent casts Unsummon on my wolf. I tell him to take two infect damage from the wolf because it's equipped with the lash; my opponent, however, claims that he gets no damage because "the Unsummon removes the source of the damage."
Am I crazy? The wolf deals 2 damage before he becomes unsummoned, right? My argument is that the Livewire Lash's effect occurs when the equipped creature becomes the target rather than when the spell resolves.
I tap a Smokebraider to add two mana to my mana pool. In response, my opponent casts Terror, Lightning Bolt, or the like on my Smokey, destroying/killing/removing it. Do I still get my two mana?
I have Bitterblossom and Doubling Season in play. I assume that the D.S. causes me to put two Faeries into play at the beginning of my upkeep, but do I lose two life instead of one life?
My opponent has three Precursor Golems in play, plus the six accompanying 3/3 tokens. I cast Lash Out on a golem. Would my opponent and I clash nine times?
