In Sealed Deck tournaments, the Head Judge may require players to perform a deck swap prior to deck construction. Players receive unopened product and register the contents (except non-foil basic land cards) on decklists. Foil basic land cards must be registered and kept with the registered card pool. Any card in a booster that is not a card from the expansion of the opened booster is retained by the player that registers the cards (e.g., a player that registers the contents of a booster during a deck swap keeps the token card, if any). Players who drop from the tournament before fulfilling this duty will receive a match loss in the first round. Tournament officials then collect the recorded card pools and redistribute them randomly. A player may randomly receive the product he or she registered. The Head Judge should require players to sort the cards they register according to some criteria (e.g. by color and then alphabetically) to assist the player receiving the pool.

People say that you need to tell a judge are technically incorrect. You need to tell the Scorekeeper that you're dropping, because just telling a random floor judge will end up you getting directed to the scorekeeper who has the actual ability and power to drop you from the event. Telling a floor judge might work, but chances are they're more concern with watching players who're opening and registering packs and making sure nothing fishy is going on with the people who are still in the event.

This is entirely legal at your GP or your LGS. However, your LGS might not look kindly at this and they definitely can and are allowed to the right to not service you. I would suggest working something out with them when you open a double Tarmogoyf pack so your draft isn't disrupted. I suggest something along the lines of paying for and replacing the questioned pack, but most people I've seen seem to be against that for the potential of abuse. Personally, I don't believe anyone should have to keep $600 and give away the $200 to the person next to them just because they happened to be next to them when they found it. And I highly doubt a TO worth their salt will allow someone to replace a pack that didn't have a good card in it, a pack without two cards with combined value over $150, or ban someone for dropping when they no longer want to play for any reason at all.

Five decks is too small of a sample size, and even then, the new frame isn't relevant because the Theros decks don't use the new frame. The idea of "12 years no errors, but this year I got FIVE! Must be the frames!" is laughable. It's like saying "I played paper for 12 years with no problems, but first year I play MTGO, I get flooded or screwed every other game. Must be the shuffler!" Even if fifteen people each post five different problems they had, it still super small and is probably even less compared to the amount of improper decks compared to a year with old frames.

Besides, the new frame makes it easier for the machines to read, organize, and package the cards. This reason is one the reasons they switched to it supposedly, because people often got intro packs that were nothing but rares or packs that were missing a rare/uncommon etc. etc. Contact WotC about it. I've never had an issue when I contacted them about a defective product. Sometimes they might want you to return the whole product, but often times they'll just send a replacement to you at no cost.

That said, I do know for sure that the Speed vs Cunning deck had an uncommon problem of the speed deck being nothing but rares. But that was also the first duel deck with the new frames, so not surprised something happened. I wouldn't expect this to happen with the upcoming DD or Intros at half the rate due to the improved(imo) frames.

Most sports are also spectator sports where they want fans to pay for tickets to watch them play. If both teams draw to secure themselves a spot in whatever, no fans will come to the stadium and pay to watch them play. Is this the reason why it's illegal to ID? I don't know, I don't mess with sports. But it sounds like a good reason to not allow it, because the people who organize the league and get paid by companies to advertise at those games would lose money.

Unlike in MTG, where the players themselves have to pay for their entry into a tournament or for some cases, hotels to play.

Thank you very much for the recommendations! I spent the last six hours going over them!
Cube list updated, now up to 457, plan on making the last three cards lands of some sort, and I will have more updates in the future.

Recently, I decided to make a cube as a way to enjoy playing Magic while not having to spend money every week/keep up with Standard. I also am a huge fan of Commander, and dabble some into Legacy and Modern. Basically, I made the following(CubeTutor link, for ease of viewing):
    List View(Cubetutor): Here
    Picture View(Cubetutor) : Here

Yeah, I already know it is pretty rough looking, but I hope to figure out the problems and work out the kinks. Here is what I noticed so far:
    • Blue, Black, and Red are relatively low on creatures compared to White and Green.
    • Those same three colors also seem to lack strong creatures, mainly finishers.
    • There are random throw-in creatures like Favored Hoplite etc. that I would like to get some ideas on what to replace them with.
    • Same with some spells and artifacts.
    • I am not really sure what to keep as far as lands go. I plan on adding the Onslaught/Zendikar fetchlands, and I would like to keep the Core Duals, Shocks, and either the Cyclelands or the Vivid Lands. What is general idea as far as utility lands go? Should I have lands like Kessig Wolf Run or manlands like Raging Ravine and Mutavault?
    • Grave Titan is probably the first black card I should add, replacing something...
    • Is the cube big enough? Or is it just in need of fixing the weak areas?
    • Is it too much to hope for mono-color archetypes? It was my general idea early on for black and red to be strong mono-colored but still be okay when paired with others, but I am beginning to think it is too much to hope for due to the nature of the draft. This was my reason for the singular Un- card, Necro-Impotence.
What I intend to do with the cube:
    1. Be able to draft with 4-8 players.
    2. I want to try to have at least five supported archetypes. I think currently I have the beginnings, but I am not sure where to go from here.
    3. Have some full cycles, like the Battlemage cycle or fair Color hate cycle etc.
    4. Have a decent amount of usable sideboard cards! Not sure if this means more hate cards or more broad good stuff.
    5. No power. I prefer synergy and good interactions over busted simplicity. Sol Ring is the exception.
    6. Equal card amounts. I like there to be even amount of total cards between colors and guilds.

Please, post suggestions! I am open to any insight!

Regardless of who it is from or whom it is for, the right thing to do is to contact the seller and return it. The seller can decide if you can keep the mistake(in case they caught it) or will email you a shipping label to ship and compensate for your time.

I'll admit I'm pump and dumping however that doesn't change the value of the card.

Suppression Field doesn't play in every deck. You'd have to splash white in most cases. Also Pithing Needle can hit one target and then the other copies can hit other targets and not be dead cards. Suppression only gains value if it gets removed making it really an effective 1 or at most 2 of just to be able to draw it.

I'll paint a quick picture here against three of the top modern decks. Keep in mind if you know the deck you're up against Pithing Needle effectively prevents enter the battlefield use creating a dead card in the other players hand. This effect is worth 6 tix in the hands of Thoughtseize.

So against Affinity. You turn 1 Needle. You can name Archbound Ravager, Steel Overseer, Cranial Plating, Springleaf Drum, Blinkmoth Nexus, Inkmoth Nexus.

Now against Melira Pod. You turn 1 Needle. Name Birthing Pod and stop the train from ever leaving. Effectively making Abrupt Decay a Needle target instead of a creature target. Also creating any sideboard hate you bring in next game more likely to stick because they have to hit the needle first. Future needles can hit, Spike Feeder, Viscera Seer, Gavony Township.

Now against Splinter Twin. Turn 1 Needle. Name Deceiver Exarch and the future one being Pestermite. Now neither can tap to use splinter twin.

Against Jund. Name Lilianna, of the Veil and Scavenging Ooze.

Against RG Tron. Name Karn Liberated and Oblivion Stone future needles can hit Eye of Ugin.

None of this is even taking into consideration you could name a Scalding Tarn or Flooded Strand.

Against UWR decks you can name Celestial Colonnade and Ajani Vengeant.

I'm not pumping up anything here other than stating the truth of what the card actually does. If you want to look at it with a negative narrow mind then feel free. Won't stop you from not playing it and won't stop me from main decking the card. It simply hits too many cards in formats and effectively gives a time walk for 1 mana in many cases.

Against Affinity: Literally the only card that matters here to hit is usually either Cranial Plating and Arcbound Ravager. The others don't matter as much or die to removal. Not to mention they can still turn their guys sideways, as a T1 Pithing Needle isn't GG at all against them. Also, it shows here you haven't read Pithing Needle, because it doesn't even stop Springleaf Drum.

Against Melira Pod: Needle on Pod is pretty good, but you forget that more often then not they win by simply playing beat down, or comboing off naturally(not likely to happen, but can with Chord of Calling). No GGs here.

Against Splinter Twin: You can needle both dudes, but you can still lose to Kiki-Jiki activations, Vendillion Clique/Tarmogoyf beats, or Bolt-Snapcaster Bolt Pestermite beatdown. Still no GGs here.

Against Jund: Seriously? Jund won't care if their Lilianas are dead, they can either keep going with Dark Confidant and flip an Abrupt Decay, or clock your head with Raging Ravine/Treetop Village.

Against RG Tron: Sure, hit the Karn, they'll play a Wurmcoil Engine or power out an Eldrazi. Some even play the singleton Nature's Claim maindeck, and they got three more in the board.

Against UWR: I mean sure, Needling Colonnade or their 'walker seems fine, but this is a deck that can Wear//Tear or Cryptic Command Bounce Pithing Needle, or just Snapcaster Lightning bolt you enough to kill you.

Against fetchlands: "In response, crack and fetch." Sure, they don't know if you're gonna name the fetchland, but it is pretty obvious when it is GAME 1 and all you have seen is their fetchland.

    Quote from Stroggoii
One accessible GP a year is more valuable than whatever many SCG opens you have to pay $4000 to even build a deck. At least the GP is a real WotC sponsored tournament and not just the crumbles off the table of SCG's greed.
So yes, I'd give up ALL SCG tournaments for halved prices. I, and most players, can live without their godly generosity of making tournaments with these prices of entry.

"Gee, must be Star City Game's fault I can't afford to play Legacy like I need to. Curse them for making Legacy a growing format that WotC doesn't even care about!"

I honestly doubt that there would be anyone who would be interested in Legacy if it was at the point Vintage is. Also, you can currently make some of best decks in Legacy for half of $4,000(Provided you don't go for everything NM, but you don't need NM for playing anyway!) Which just goes to show you don't actually know much or anything about current Legacy decks. You don't care about Legacy as much as you say, you just care to hate on SCG.

Granted, it doesn't take a genius to realize that. One GP a year is no where near accessible to what SCG does. I know where I live, I would have usually 1-2 chances for Legacy Opens a season, and I live in Texas! On the East Coast, a lot of people have the chance for 3-6 Legacy Opens and Classics! If it was just a Legacy GP a year, 99% of the time I would have to fly to it because its either on one of the US coasts, or outside the US and I wouldn't be the only one who would have to as well. It wouldn't matter if a Legacy deck was less than a Standard deck, I would have no tournaments to play with it at, or a site to watch Legacy every Sunday on.

If you're gonna post a reason why you hate Star City, think about it for a second. Is it entirely SCG's fault that people are willing to pay a premium and make sure that their cards are what they're getting and that they get it soon? Perhaps that it might be good for MTG that we have a large tournament every weekend for two of the most popular constructed formats with good announcers and quality streams? That maybe they're not actually a bunch of mustache-twirling villains tying helpless small stores to railroad tracks and instead a card store not unlike your LGS who have to pay for their employees, their tournaments, and themselves almost entirely through MTG sales?

You're free to purchase from whomever you think deserves your money. But I would rather pay extra so I don't have to worry about getting SP for NM and to support what SCG has done for the game. I am not sure what a random Ebay seller or non-LGS store on TCG themselves have done for the game, but I am sure they must have done something amazing for mankind, because Star City Games is the devil.

Why? Because I think and say so and if someone disagrees, its because they're a shill."

    SCG are
      Overpriced
      Creators of artificial scarcity
The reason legacy is so expensive
      Have terrible customer service

It's disgusting that you would even consider thinking of supporting them.

This post is so awfully wrong it hurts. Lets go down point by point.

    Overpriced

Okay, so they're more expensive then other stores. There is a good reason why, and its that they do much more than everyone else. They're one of the few independent online stores who run their own site, store location, provide articles and video content, and host a tournament all over the US almost every weekend. You can't match what TCG Low is and still do all of that.

    Creators of artificial scarcity

They buy cards from vendors and relist them at a higher price because of anticipated demand. Literally every other store and speculator would do this if they could, and most independent stores do, but some how Star City is the "creator" of it. Ridiculous claim with no tangible proof.

The reason legacy is so expensive

Okay, sure. They are the reason Legacy is expensive. They are also the major reason Legacy is alive outside of small communities of it, with their weekly Legacy tournaments. Legacy sure as hell wasn't gonna live off of 1 GP a season from WotC.

    Have terrible customer service

Multiple posts disagree with you here. My experiences also disagree with this. I bought two Chord of Callings a year ago exactly back when they were $10 each(before they jumped). UPS lost the package, and SCG refunded me entirely, and six months later, UPS dropped those Chords off, and SCG told me to keep them.
That is better service then any of the stores on TCG player, who mark HP NM, have fake stock, or don't ship until a week later.

SCG did nothing wrong when as far as the fetchland debate goes, and the only reason people believe they did now is because they believed SCG did wrong two years ago and are too stubborn to admit it they're wrong or jumped on the SCG Hatewagon. The fetchlands, while they were increasing little by little beforehand, were going to jump regardless because two weeks afterwards, Modern PTQ Season started.
