Where'd everyone go? No Mogg, no Whamme?
    Vs 1: Deck doen't work, I win.
Vs 2: Counter Slime. I lose 4-ish life to Scepter before Pox takes care of City.
Vs 3: I Foil Snake Cult initiation and watch him lose to his own Crypt.
Vs 4: Pox kills Karakas and Voice
Vs 5: Can't win here. Without Hollow, Vault can't cast Pox until turn 4. No matter my line, you can cast your second Pyroblast on turn 3. I lose my Vault and with it, my chance of winning.

Leyline of Sanctity / Chancellor of the Dross / Chancellor of the Dross / Soul Spike

Leyline was 100% useless this round, and I almost never needed the Soul Spike. I would have had the same clock with just two Chancellors; the other two cards should have been Foil/Island.

    X| 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0
    0| 6 6 0 3 0 0 6 0 6 x | 26 | 288

    Interesting matchups:

Vs 4 on the draw, I lead by going to 30 and putting him to 10 on the first upkeep. Then he goes to 3, then to 1 to play Shadow. I go to 23 on my upkeep. He stifles next upkeep to buy a turn, swinging for 12 and putting me to 11. Upkeep puts me to 4, hanging on by the skin of my teeth for the win. On the play, the line is the same except I'm 7 life behind so I lose.

Vs 7: I can kill Nomads or Spiritualist, whichever gets resolved first. it starts 26 to 17, because Soul Spike will target Spiritualist, which will be sacrificed to Diamond Valley in response. That's still enough life differential for me to win, play or draw.

Vs 9: Whamme can't play a T1 mirror, so he dies on his turn 2 upkeep. I can survive until my turn 5 upkeep since I start at 30 life, so even skipping two turns doesn't save him.

To reiterate my thought from the thread where I proposed Slap Fight: Leyline of Punishment seems like too easy a way around the round rule, but all the other cards that make damage unpreventable seem fine. But I haven't thought much yet about what might actually be good in this format so I'm open to all opinions about banned lists.
Round rules aren't "preventing" damage, so Leyline does nothing.

Why? Because otherwise the winning deck is one I'm pretty sure *everyone else* correctly assumed was illegal based on the round rule. That's unacceptable.
For the record, I was relying 100% on the posted ban list in this thread.

Infect creatures will still deal 1 damage as poison, correct?

Six of nine decks were legal -- all but Personman (5), psly4mne (6) and WhammeWhamme (9).
Whoops. Which card did I miss?

    1. Victory on the play by Whelking myself, then Uburialing Alhamaret naming Entrance. On the draw, I'd like to whelk my opponent, but Progenitus just gets shuffled in and redrawn.

    2. Okiba on me just enables me; either Whelk or Al stops chancellor, and even with ping damage from the goblin early I'll win the race with my flier.

    3. On the play, I Whelk turn 4 and the game is over. On the draw, Stain has to name Whelk or else I'll whelk away the other two cards, then either remaining card wins against a 1/1. On turn 7 I'll be at 13, then get attacked for 3 by hasty goblins going to ten. Al comes in naming Reign. I get attacked, trade with Chancellor, go to 7, and unburial Al. At this stage, I neither of us can win.

    4. Agreed with nutshell.

    5. Crushed. Sick deck. I thought we had decided to disallow split cards from this format though?

    6. Whelked.

    7. Whelk wins on the play. It gets Stained on the draw, then storm locks me out.

    9. On the play I Whelk myself and Al names Shriekmaw (or Renaissance, if Maw was evoked turn 2 as a dodge). I'll have been attacked once by a morph, putting me at 18, when Al comes down. I win in 4 swings; the opposing 4/4 takes 4 swings to kill me, so I win.
On the draw, I run the same line but take an extra hit for 4. I can't race, but my opponent can't get through.

    10. On the play, Whelk hits two golems.
On the draw, my opponents hand is empty on turn 4 and my life total is empty on turn 5.

    11. Ith beats me.

    12. If I'm whelked, I use Al to stop Breach. If I'm not whelked, I whelk twice, since I can have Emrakul be the second card re-drawn. my 3/3 will kill before Emrakul can be cast the fair way.

vs. 07 Reyemile: Dissipate stops constant reshuffling, but then can't stop Liliana from eating stuff. 6-0
On the play I just Dissipate Liliana. 3-3

If Liliana is dissipated, I can force-unflip Mayors (/prevent flip) and generate a ton of tokens on the ground, because my reshuffle cards can target each other.

but you can only do this every other turn, since you're shuffling in two cards but drawing one per turn. On the alternate turns, my mayors flip and I get guys. 2 wolves per two turns easily beats 2 humans per 2 turns

If you want to compare the effect of leaks to other industries, it'd be more like if it was leaked early that the next iPhone had specs lower than the one currently out. People would understandably be upset longer and it would have a negative impact on sales. However, in most cases the new iPhone is not going to affect the usability of the previous one, and knowing the specs prior to that isn't going to change that. Knowing how cards from the new Magic set might affect older ones CAN affect the state of the game and personal finances, so there's a huge difference in how leaks affect those two markets.
Not quite. Here's a more appropriate analogy:

Imagine a leak revealing that iPhone 5 had a significantly improved motion sensor. True and potentially interesting, but to a lot of people completely irrelevant. I certainly wouldn't care. However, the truth is that new iPhones use this motion sensor as suite of health- and activity-related apps, which are actually incredibly useful to me. This leak would have lead to a lot of second-guessing of Apple's wisdom, and it would have the thunder from what is frankly a very useful combination of apps and features. Whether this would have actually impacted sales, I can't begin to guess--but it would have generated negative press for sure. Similarly, by improperly leaking a partial spoiler (Kozilek and wastes) without background and scaffolding, lots of players who should have been excited were instead confused..

I'll say this: getting most of the mythics and expeditions spoiled early hasn't taken the fun out of spoiler season for me. But this sure has.
I definitely had less fun seeing all the cards spoiled at once, and the arguments over how Wastes worked weren't interesting either.

I'm going to hold off on passing a permanent judgement, but by immediate reaction is that having all the judges "go on strike" is a bit over the top.
"All the judges" did not go on strike. The webmaster took Judgeapps down unilaterally (as explicitly stated by the open letter on the redirect page).
