The reason I separate man an the inanimate is because I don't know of any laws that force man to make certain choices, or even to engage in making the choice.
Presumably you believe that you use your brain to make choices, and your brain is a physical structure governed by the laws of physics, eh?
Can you really determine that god is the reason for everything, simply by using individual perspectives? The rock is not gray just because you think it looks gray.
Just because one believes in a god doesn't mean that that god actually exists. We get it. (Believe it or not, people who believe in God get it, too. They don't think God exists just because they believe in him.)
The relevant question is: Why do you think that a world where humans "unite as a species" in a non-theist way would be better than a world where they unite in a particular theist way, or in some pan-theistic orgy of glory? (Bonus points if you don't mention rocks in your answer.)
You may think the rock is gray, but some things see it as blue or yellow. Which one is it? It's just another part of what life sees. Similarly, you have some people who believe in god, those who don't, and those who believe in its possibility. They are just another of the many opinions of people, and that's it. They are just individual perspectives, which do not account for the entire universe as the rock situation shows.
My secret decoder ring translates this to: "Look, there are lots of different opinions on whether God exists, what kind of god(s) he/she/they is/are, etc."
But I don't see what any of this has to do with what I perceive as your central point, which is that people can be the source of a lot of good and that we should all band together to improve our situation as a society. In fact, your posts in this thread seems to be working against your brilliant idea attempting to polarize non-theists against theists.
If you really believe your philosophy is worthwhile, why are you going after theists so strongly? Why not work with them to improve our lot here on earth?
the reason people act in the good and bad ways that they do is because of the situation they are adapted to. As in I can see it as a physical thing that is happening.
It's a fine ideal, as ideals go, but it's not clear to me that it's superior to more theist-friendly views. If your goal is to have everyone get along, there are practical advantages to imposing an intangible, omnipotent, aloof creator whose rules can't be effectively questioned.
Scenario #2 cannot happen. You cannot cast Doom Blade targeting a black creature. If someone does it by mistake, the game backs up to the point before he cast it and he has to do something else. So asking "will he gain life if Scenario #2 happens" is pointless - Scenario #2 can't happen.
Scenario #4 - that's right, Doom Blade was cast and will trigger Demon's Horn, even though it's later countered by the game rules.
The new players acquisition strategy started around, what, Shards? Those are the sets you need to look at, and the results are clear. New players are entering the game in droves.
According to the annual report for '08 (Morningtide/Shadowmoor/Eventide/Shards), international revenues for MTG were down. They did not discuss US/Canada revenues.
According to the annual report for '09 (Conflux/Reborn/M10/Zendikar), US/Canada revenues for MTG were up, but international revenues were down and were listed as one of the primary causes of Hasbro's decreased revenues overseas.
I have said a number of times throughout these forums, that I use MTG rules of infinite.
When I do an infinite combo....its not really infinite, its an arbitrarily LARGE number.
That is what I mean when I say the word infinite.
So...it drives you crazy that people quibble over idiosyncratic meanings of "God," while you expect others to respect (and, apparently, remember without prompting) your idiosyncratic definition of "infinite?"
It seems like you should know this is not the way to conduct a reasonable discussion.
Thanks for the info on Wizards, it's understandable.
As for the custom cards I k now there is such a forum, but what I want to know is if there is a company or something that is able to print magic look alikes with your stuffs on them. Just a thought
I doubt many companies would do that, since they'd risk incurring Wizards' wrath. (Many elements of the card are copyrighted or otherwise legally protected, most importantly the mana symbols.)
Because Sage Owl was printed in M10 and Spire Owl was not.
Your deck would absolutely be illegal to use in a Standard tournament. Despite their similarities, the cards have different names and you cannot have Spire Owl in a Standard deck right now.
Is there a white creature, white enchantment or artifact that exiles or somehow changes/deactivates an artifact (or permanent) for a certain period of time? And that also can change targets?
Why don't you just come out and tell us what you want to do? "Somehow changes/deactivates" could mean a lot of things, and "change targets" doesn't make any sense in this context. If you have any format restrictions (e.g. you want something in Standard) now would be the time to mention that, too.
Anyway, using my best guess at what you're talking about:

I am not aware of a whole lot of synergy between Vampires and milling.
