Because Ajani is strictly better for those needs. Comes down at the same price, gives Double Strike AND Flying, buffs your dudes, is more difficult to remove, and it's a rattlesnake. Silverblade Paladin is not above or on the curve, but below, being a 2/2 for 3 where you lose your Double Strike if he get's pillared away. You have better 3-drops like Reckoner or Loxodon, and all in all, if you want double strike you can stick to Ajani and Boros Charm to fulfill that. Consider Paladin as a 1-or-2 of if the body matters that much.
But I guess is better a creature than a walker. Ajani is more difficult to remove but not win games; and Domri is a better walker. With Ghor-Clan Rampager, Wolfir Silverheart, Advent of the Wurm and Rancor (or the new aura +2/+2 lifelink and trample) maybe this guy deserves some tests. With these cards in the deck Paladin has much more impact than Boros Reckoner, for example (that against control is a simple 3/3 creature).
I assume that 4 Disortion Strike and 4 (Rebounded) Emerges are enough to warrant additional Exalted in the form of Cathedral of War? Do you see it as a strong interaction or just extra value from time to time? Did you wish you had Apostle's Blessing in hand rather than Emerge when facing Affinity decks?
Also I like Wild Defiance in this list. Your list looks much like the one I have imagined.
Don't you prefer Rest in Peace as a graveyard hoser? Or Relic of Progenitus? If your Cage is destroyed you gain nothing and both RiP and Relic are better answers against Tarmogoyf and Deathrite Shaman. On the other hand Cage is good against Pod too.
edit: also a side note. As I already said I am pretty new to Modern. How to you use Silence against Storm? I mean do you do it in their upkeep when you suspect they may go wild this turn or you do it in response to first Ritual-spell played in given turn?
The priority is to kill with the spells. Exalted is only a bonus and a "free pump" when not have a good pump hand. Somes games I win only with exalted triggers. And force the opponent to respond first.
I dont know if Rest in Peace is better in this case. It can cause me troubles when I need cast a creature second turn. Diggers enter better because of need only of 1 mana. With the few lands (20-22) the more untapped land you can mantain to cast the pumps is better. Tarmogoyf or other creature based decks is the minor of problems. Normally you kill much more faster.
Normally I search to cast in the moment after some spells that I see that if stopped he is lose totally the gas. After a Song or Manamorphose for example.
Well, as far as prices are concerned those two versions cost the same as they use same manabase (swap Breeding Pools with Temple Gardens). Creature cards prices are same and the only true difference is not having Thoughtseize (which is ommited by some anyway due to high price and replaced by IoK). So the any choice between BUG and Bant is strictly based on effectivness.
Can you post your list?
Do you tend to cast Emerge Unscathed just to get through blockers? I am a bit afraid of such play...
I was thinking about Bant Infect too and the idea seems not insane.
While you lose Plague Stinger you can add Ichorclaw Myr or/and Lost Leonin.
Myr has kind-of evasion, it's ability makes your opponent really don't want to block him (but they do if they face lethal poison which can be untrue with Stinger).
Leonin is nonbo with Pendelhaven but if you manage to hit with him twice you get free Mutagenic Growth. Also this one poison might be important in some scenarios (attacking with Leonin and without Hierarch, having two +4+4 pumps on hand).
You also lose discard but instead you can:
- go heavier in blue and use counterspells
- use Path to Exile to get rid of opponent's threats that you might discard in BUG list
- overload on protection spells (Emerge Unscathed and Faith's Shield)
It is an option for sure. With Noble Hierarch mana will be better than in BUG.
edit: Also Rancor is better on Ichorclaw Myr than on Plague Stinger.
I am using Bant Infect and not think to change to black. Emerge Unscathed is too good to ignore. I am too use Path to Exile instead of Dismember in the SB. Against the storm decks I have Silence. How I use 4 Distortion Strike MD I choose Leonin over the Myr.
I dont see why the same goods result (or maybe better results) can not be reached with Bant version.
In MTGO Daily I win some games with Kessig Cagebreakers. He is a surprise guy. I put him in the place of Wolfir Silverheart in case of play against controls deck. Cast it after a Supreme Verdict can be bombastic if not stopped.
Why are people no longer interested in playing Token decks that play cards like Travel Preparations? I understand the reason people stopped playing it back in Dark Ascension (Vapor Snag.) but right now it seems like if you're going to play tokens, it is safe to start beefing them up again. I haven't seen a ton of Unsummons.
You can easily build a bant list that does a pretty good job of making tokens and slowly growing them.
I see some versions of token's deck after rotation and would like to know what is the opinion of all about it.
The core of all these are: Intangible Virtue, Midnight Haunting and Lingering Souls. With the second color that the things change. The both versions utilize a little splash to black to flashback the Lingering Souls.

2 Pendelhaven
2 Cathedral of War
4 Inkmoth Nexus
4 Misty Rainforest
4 Verdant Catacombs
2 Breeding Pool
2 Temple Garden
4 Glistener Elf
4 Blighted Agent
4 Lost Leonin
4 Noble Hiearch
4 Vines of Vastwood
4 Might of Old Krosa
4 Emerge Unscathed
4 Distortion Strike
2 Wild Defiance
3 Path to Exile
3 Silence
3 Grafdigger's Cage
3 Nature's Claim
The Emerge is for free way and to protect the infecters.

Fencing Ace can do more damage that Strangleroot Geist if equipped with a Rancor, exalted with a Sublime Archangel or paired with a Wolfir Silverheart. This human is much more explosion than the geist. Imagine cast a miracle Revenge of the Hunted in the third turn with Fencing Ace in battlefield.

What is the problem with GW Humans?
I guess maybe because Rancor is far better
The core of all these are: Intangible Virtue, Midnight Haunting and Lingering Souls. With the second color that the things change. The both versions utilize a little splash to black to flashback the Lingering Souls.
With G the version utilize Avacyn's Pilgrim, Selesnya Charm, Call of the Conclave, Rancor and Gavony Township. With U the version utilize Favorable Winds, Drogskol Captain, Geist of Saint Traft, Talrand, Sky Summoner, Talrand's Invocation and Moorland Haunt. With G the deck appear to me more fast and explosive. With Blue more solid. What is the best?
Is possible a Bant version?
