I have to intervene here, I have a deck that uses surgical extraction that has only lost 4 games out of the 80 straight I played against random people. And it still continues winning on a constant basis no matter what deck i play against.

The only reason i lost is because I had a bad draw but even then it still took them over 19 turns to kill me.

You're speaking to the topic creator lol. This first paragraph says this is a cube for OCTGN. If you don't know what OCTGN is, it's up to you to figure it out.

No it's not, it's yours. Simple as that. i'm not looking up what you need to explain.

I made something for my own personal use and decided other people may benefit from it as well.

If this were true then you would have posted everything I me mentioned in this thread.

If you're so dead set on not visiting the site, then why are you even posting it this thread?

Nice try on the evasive maneuver. Why are you making threads like this, using them to advertise for?

Without any background knowledge or the will to get some, you won't know what I'm talking about no matter what I type.

I have no problems going to learn something I do however have a problem with topics like this on sites this who do everything to blame the reader instead of taking a look at yourself for being an idiot.
When you decide to post it here I'll be more than happy to read it, but if you insist on using a thread on a site to advertise yourself and or your site, then you're the reason why i don't have any knowledge on this on this and not that I don't go read anything.

this has to do with the princible of laziness you have. You try to hype something up then say sorry gotta go to (Insert website) The internet has enough Peter Molyneux's

I'm not going to give you download links and installation instructions to something just because you don't know what it is. If you want to know, find out, if it doesn't seem worth your time, you move on.

I didn't ask for the download links once did I? No I didn't, and nor do I want them. I can do that just fine on my own. And of course I don't know what it is, that's because you're to damn lazy to provide any information on this where you advertise it..I'm not going to blindly download anything not knowing what it is...I'm also not going to have you say I am the one who needs to do your leg work. No it doens't seem worth my time to move on, it is more beneficial for me to sit and hound you until you either get so fed up you post them, ignore me which I won't go away, or cry to one of the mods to have me suspended/banned all because you're to lazy to post what you are required to be posting if it's yours. I'm sick of people like yourselves trying to tell others to do your work and hiding behind the phrase it's free or I ddi it in my spare time and sharing it.....So what if you did...that doesn't give you any excuse to be pulling the crap you're pulling in here.

If I helped run this site this topic would be removed because it serves absolutely no purpose, doesn't do anything for anyone, and is strictly in here to advertise yourself.

P.S. See this topic here as a result of going to outside links that people leave without instructions:
    http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/showthread.php?t=315838

Advertising yourself without any actual information on the link being provided is retared.
Whether you did or not, I'm not wasting my time trying to find out.

    Quote from YoshiOfADown
Almost on the right track. The reason it's only pulling out the deck list is because when you export the library, you are clicking on the cards in the decklist part of the screen.

    1. Click any card in the list of cards in the library portion of the screen.
    2. Go to File -> Export Deck/Base
    3. Name your base, check the Standard (Magic Workstation) radio button, then click save.
    4. Now you can open your new base by going to File -> Open Libraries.

That's not what I'm trying to do.

When you add a set to the masterbase it goes in like this

    Card Name:
    Card Color:
    Mana Cost:
    Type & Class:
    Pow/Tou:
    Card Text:
    Flavor Text:
    Artist:
    Rarity:
    Card #:

If it can go in like this I'm assuming it can be extracted like that as well.

So I want the extracted data in the form of a txt file set up the way it gets added.

    Card Name:
    Card Color:
    Mana Cost:
    Type & Class:
    Pow/Tou:
    Card Text:

Or maybe you need to learn how to research things before you start criticizing other people?

    http://www.octgn.net/.
    How about you *omitted*

I'm really sick and tired of people such as yourself who protect the uploader of BS like this and not hold the topic creator responsible in any way.
People like you are whom I was refering to about telling someone to do their own research...

It's not my responsibility to go reseaching what is supposed to be being explained by the topic creator. Simple facts...If one cannot explain what it is, then don't advertise this crap....PERIOD.

But I sure as hell am not going to that website and i'm sure as hell not going to do any leg work on this at all...The topic creator is going to do it like they are supposed to.

Right, cool off. This really should've been a multi-point infraction for misuse of "retard" and flaming on many levels. Consider it mercy, given your record.

    The FAQ thread is here:

    http://www.slightlymagic.net/forum/v...091d100ec38bca

Since starting the game against AI currently requires two or three clicks, I sincerely apologize for being confusing

And yes, I admit we don't exactly have documentation

See this I don't mind, because you're at least saying these type of instructions don't exist yet and I don't mind looking (Somewhat) There is a limit to what i will search)

It's when i get a moron like outbak in this topic here
    http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/showthread.php?t=322125
that I argue with and refuse top be poilite afterwards...Anyone who makes a dumb ass reply like he did in that topic needs to be shot and doesn't deserve t be treated nice...Right now I have a screw him attitude...

This person is just plain stupid and is clearly just trying to start a problem.
I mean seriously you have to be a total douche bag to watch a video that's narrated, showing exactly what the issue is, then have the testicular fortitude to type out the same exact instructions that were just shown in the video they just watched then say they work.

    Really!

I mean even when I messed up with the magic set editor I said my bad...but that kid and his reply are just frigging stupid.

    UPDATE:

I looked at that link......It doesn't explain anywhere on it how to use arenabot to play against the AI or really much about the interface layout of what you do with the functions on it all the information on that link was what it could support or what was in it. Which to me is pointless...No ffense as I know it takes time to make programs like that...But please understand this (And I mean no disrespect when i say this) i honestly do not care what is in something, or the design or anything else like that. (Other people do, but I don't)

I just caree about if it works, and if so how do you get it to work... other than that, all the information on that page doesn't matter one bit and I didn't really read every thing i skimmed through it to see the information i wanted wasn't there. If there is something I have to know when getting it to work then the instructions should say ok this part requires you to know this (Insert whatever) and either at that point explain everything that the person is going to need to know or say if you don't know it then stop reading, go learn it, and when you do then start learning again.

I do that with all my manuals.

Completely hilarious video. I love it! I especially love how you feel entitled to receive step by step training on a program like this.

Then it shouldn't be allowed to be posted if the morons who created it cannot explain how it works. it's that simple...people who create something are the ones responsible for explaining it...I'm really sick of morons such as yoruself who hide behind the phrase "It's Free" or you feel you're entitled like it's going to change anything. Well guess what I am entitled and if people don't want to read people pissing and moaning on a forum about it, too bad.

Who the hell are you to tell me I have to do research on my own for what is supposed to be being explained. Are you kidding me! You and anyone else thinks that if I am going to go searching for answers that should be being left with the program are completely out of your minds...I'm not taking the time to go looking for anything, if a program doesn't have step by step instructions, then deal with the complaints...the real problem is the laziness of the people not putting instructions for things they themselves make or know how to do then try and force others to go find the information they themselves should be leaving.

The kicker was how you stated that the entire community claiming to use the program is lying until proved otherwise to you. Guilty, until proven innocent.

It is still impossible to add custom created cards to a deck. So yes I am going to call anyone that says they did this a liar because it doesn't work and my video shows that...I'm still getting that error message about how compiled cards need to be compiled before adding them.

They have been compiled and it still says only compile cards can be dded. this means a total dev screw up and a broken function.

These instructions in your reply above are exactly what I have shown and decribed in the video:

    Click File -> Open Libraries
Choose the library (aka set) you compiled previously
    Click Open
    Add cards to your deck.

    Stop being stupid!

I don't get what this is, what it would be used for, what the point to this is, or how to use it.

The description of this is so vague and it appears as though a degree in quantum computer science is required to know what anyone is talking about.
What the hell is going on with instructions and descriptions with things now-a-days

Some how people no longer feel Basic and clear cut explanations/directions are neccessary and think anyone who asks for them shouldn't be using a computer and get mad and flame people that ask.

Well I installed it, and.....All this did was waste about 2-3 min of my time.

This is what happend...I installed it, messed around with the interface for about a min to try and get at least a game working and I ran into this....

Ummm.... ummmm.... ummmm... It doesn't explain how to be able play against the AI in this.

    I then uninstalled it.

I have a very low tollerance for things that are supposed to have a main function, but cannot explain within a few clicks how to get it working... Sorry but something that has a primary function isn't supposed to require 15 min of set-up/searching and messing around plus and or asking how to use it...Sorry I'm not wasting my time.

Like most of everything else, it doesn't contain any clear step by step instructions that it requires in order to be able to use it. So I uninstalled it.

It's exactly like the problem I Had and still have with MWS and not being able to add custom created cards to decks.

It only explains what to do up to the point to start putting custom created cards into decks but the instructions leave you with only an error message that says the cards have to be compiled, and thsi shows up after you compile them....

Why is it that you can add a set txt file to the MWS masterbase, but you cannot reverse the process, meaning create a txt file with the set information in it like there is when adding a set.

If there is a way this can be done there is no explanation on how to do so.

So if someone knows how can you post how...if not can someone post a list with them attached or at least point me to an archived topic or something.

No the search doesn't bring up what i'm looking for and I'm not going to google every set for a txt file.

I can only find some set txt files here and there but I am looking for all the set.txt files from Alpha on.

If there is a way to pull the data out of MWS then that would be simpler...and no export set doesn't do what I am looking for..it only pulls out a deck list.... or says insufficient memory error.

    Thanks in advance!

Granted I was slightly out of line for calling people dense but No offense Gerard but if people cannot learn their rules that is not my problem. The bottom line is here that people really do not know half as much as they come acorss to know.

Using rules for spells and then applying them to permanent effects and abilies, throwing out rules using card comparisons all without knowing what type of card they are applying them too or how, not paying any attention to rules for spells do not operate the same way as rules for permanents. then saying they are right is what causes people issues and problems for new players.

And just to add this, that abilitiy mimics incerates EFFECT it doesn't and cannot mimic incinerate itself due to it being permanent requiering 2 separate abilities.

While inceinerate being one spell having 2 parts cannot have 2 stacks as it's one thing.

So to correct you on something, that card and what others are showing cannot work under post 10th edition rules. Even though it's not dipicted in the card, and they won't reprint a card just to put a line break in it, It still has to have a line break in it or it's impossible to respond to. Under post 10th edition rules it's considered to have a line break in it for response purposes.

Just like even though the text of proliferate on a card itself outright say if multiple types of counters are on a card, you may only copy one type of counter on it. Under game rules it's still there you just don't see that exact text.

Sorry but that's the way it is.

You people are only posting rules, showing card comparisons with cards that don't even have teh same functions.. you think that just because they have the same text that they must work the same way... then trying to justify yourselves. Trying to say Koths Emblem is the same as the invoker is crap...they don't even work the same way even though they both have simillar text.

It's clear that none of you are paying any attention to the key workings on cards, such as when and if at any time..where colons and commas are or anything else.
Apparently a bunch of you think they are the same thing and work the same way which they don't so you cannot use one card to justify another....
And because of this all you have are rules and card comparisons you keep throwing out and then trying to say cards have to worded like this....and do not understand wording has everything to do with how cards work...then all of you are in trouble.

Cards have to be worded according to the words being used in the card and not how you think they need to be due to throwing rules out with card comparisons that aren't even the same key wording that also have commas and colon's in different places in the card text.

here is a prime example of what I'm talking about

You're trying to use Incinerate to compare it to seal and say no line break is needed.
You clearly do not understand why one spell with 2 effects doesn't require a line break while one permanent with 2 effects does.

Umm pay real close attention here because incinerate is a spell, NOT A PERMANENT. Regardless of how many line breaks a spell has or none at all IT IS ONE SPELL/effect that goes on the stack once. It may have the same type of text as seal hell it may even have the same exact effect as seal, but it doesn't operate the same way.

Seal is one permanent that has 2 effects, The seal gets sacrificed it's first effect gets put on the stack..any responses...no...now the seals second ability goes on the stack. You cannot break up a spell's separate abilities because it's one thing announced and played all at once... A permanent that has mutiple abilities has it's effect go on the stack one ability/effect at a time so if a spell has 3 abilities it's one thing, if a permanent has 3 abilities it's 3 separate things because it's a permanent which require 3 separate stacks. Each section of the permanent gets it's own stack. It's like if journey to nowhere was a spell not a permanent...you wouldn't be able to respond to it because it would be one spell with 2 effects, not a permanent with 2 effects.

I seriously cannot believe you people do not understand the difference between how a spell stack works and how a permanent abiliy/effect stack works.
I feel bad for all of you because you really don't have as good of a grasp on how cards work and why as you think you do.
