im just getting into legacy and i will tell you that the eternal nature of the format is what is attracting me. yes, it is expensive to get in, but once you are you only have to buy a few singles once in a while to upgrade your deck. the other reasons are nice too(power, variety, and competition).
im new to legacy too so take what i say with a grain of salt. if you wanna stay BW, look up something like BW stoneblade or something like that. i do see one glaring weakness.... your in black and no thoughtseize or hymm. black is great at ripping the opponents hand apart. duress is pretty good too.
i played in a fnm last night and ran into back to back st matchups. it is not a good matchup for UW. i was expecting alot of st so i had a board ready for it. 4 spellskites, 3 mental missteps, 3 flashfreeze on top of 3 pierce , 3 mana leak, 2 dismember, and 2 into the roil main deck made sure i was on top.:D
i bought a box today and pulled a foil phyrexian obliterator and a batterskull out of one pack. got another P.O., 1 MM, 2 beast within, 1 P. metamorph. not great, but that one pack made it worth it.:D
re reading my thread, i mean that the white border on top is twice the size of the border on the bottom. i really would like some feedback. i am thinking of buying this off of him. just wanna know how much i should give him for it. he is a friend of mine so i dont wanna low ball him
i was hoping someone on here could help me out. my friend has a misprint\miscut taiga. the white border is twice the size of the border on the bottom. i have looked up taiga and c that it is around 60 - 70 bucks each. what do u think that the value is on that? just lookin for some info. thx
i dont know man... no counters md seems bad. i know the removal is needed, but i think you still need counters main. if nothing else to protect your pw's
i ran 4 inferno 3 slimes 4 cobra 2 frosty. the usual mana base and non creature spells. i did mull down to 5 twice. 6 and 5 landers. i tried being aggressive. just seemed like everything i did he had an answer to. oh he was running baby j instead of the papi. really made it hard to stick anything. i guess he did have iok turn one in like five or six games. kinda unreal.

hey guys, i was testing last night and ran against UB control. he was playing the list from barcelona. i got stomped in pre-board games like 2-5. yes i had some bad draws but it seemed like all he did was counter counter counter destroy, grave titan gg. has anybody else noticed this or am i the only one that this has happened to? is this our worst matchup? i am still fairly new to the RUG thing. i have heard that this was a very hard deck to play well. thats what turned me on to it. im not a novice or anything just couldnt get by the wall o counters. 4 mana leaks were not enough. i know post board gets better but i dont like giving up game one without a fight.
i dont think standard is too absurd right now. the only card in standard that is almost impossible to get in a trade is jace. yes it is $100. yes it sucks. almost everything else is pretty easy to get in trade. you may have to trade up for some stuff, but try to trade for duals. not a chance unless u have jace and they want jace. even if u have some to get rid of, ppl are very iffy to trade off duals for jace right now because of rotation. eternal players are good at playing the waiting game.
banning the reserve list... hmmmm.... I dont know what to think of that. i like the idea of reprinting duals, as it is THE barrier to legacy. thinking about it again, if they redid the duals, how much more would all of the "staple" stuff jump? i guess it would have to be all or none type of thing. i dont think they would ever do it though. too many collectors would scream bloody murder.
