I'm confused; since the bannings alot of people are saying tht Fauna Shaman/Vengevine will be playable once again but in my testing GWx Fauna Shaman was heavily favoured against cawblade but was about 0% against ramp.
Was I doing it wrong or does everyone else actually have no idea?
Actually, I think that Vengevine/Fauna Shaman is probably going to be a bit worse, since now Valakut is going to be running around destroying everything, and Valakut is normally faster then a Vengevine/Fauna Shaman.
I don't personally play this deck (Might in the future) it just seems like the tournament results, and the statistics point to these facts.
Jon Finkel deals damage to players in the form of DCI Rating deduction

Jon Finkel doesn't buy cards, he thinks them into his collection
Jon Finkel made Top 8 at the Pro Tour, taking up every top 8 and top 16 spot with it.

Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but for the RDW no chase rare deck, how is searing blaze good without any fetches of a strife? Especially since land drops aren't guranteed.
About Tezzeret, he seems like good utility with his +1, and can definitely pump out more damage with his -1 and his -4, so I think his cost could be ignored just because of how consistent it can make your games if you get unlucky.
HOWEVER
I personally think that running Tezz would totally screw your mana base, so I'm definitely not running him (I can't afford him, or fetches, or moxes. Sorry CorpT) If your mana base is still up and running, and you're winning games, then by all means use him.
Running only 3 blue creatures, when you use 3 in game, is not a good idea. Consistency is key, and I recommend using more blue creatures so that you draw them. Also, you can just run Treasure mages and stick to singleton fatties
wurmcoil is totally budget...
Seriously though, you probably want more blue creatures, since spending blue mana to make artifacts blue isn't the best idea.
About your sig, you spelled mimic vat wrong
I absoloutely LOVE THE DECK!!! Only thing is that i'm a bit uncomfortable with playing Massacre Worm when I can't play it without using Mass Polymorph.
Thanks for all the help!
Btw Beloved, nobody and I say NOBODY has a tighter budget then me, I will bet anything on that. I'm still in 7th grade so no job, and I can't spend much more then $30 most of the time. Just practicing my budgeting skills.
I do like the changes that you've made to the deck though, thanks!
Welcome to the Forums!
Just gonna let you know before anybody starts hatin on you for it, this is the standard forum, not legacy.
Regardless, the main fatties in standard these days that are green are probably Testeradon, Gaea's Revenge. If you want to make it super budget, maybe Llanowar Elves, Leatherback Baloth is amazing in Mono G decks. Perhaps try out Garruk's Companion if you want some early beats. For competitive decks, I would probably want a way to accel REALLY fast to get those fatties in.
Also, be careful. In the current meta, your big green creatures have a big chance of being countered, or go for the throat-ed.
(Btw, Standard means only cards from Zendikar Block, Magic 2011, and Scars of Mirrodin Block right now)
Just get rid of the non-Standard cards, add some more mana accel, and you're set for now.
If you need sleeves, pretty much every local card shop almost everywhere can sell you sleeves for around $3 for 50 or so? (Sucks they sell them in 50s...)
Try Googling it, you'll get some good deals. It took about a minute for me to find a deal of about $3 for 80 of them, not including shipping though
trolololololololol
