Listen, Vampire Envoy, it's not you. You're amazing, you make me feel safe, and I'll always have a spot in my deck for you. It's just that Ondu War Cleric can give me something you never could; a two-drop.
My order is the same as yours. We don't have so much cohort that the extra body from Reinforcements is hyper necessary (plus, we want to cast Relief Captain ASAP) and of the two three-drops, I much prefer the one that can get evasion and doesn't die to Boiling Whatever (in most decks.)
I have, and I've never activated it. We don't want to load our deck with enough colorless sources to make it good, nor do we have anything key to copy. Ironically, after we nab this Drone, we want the colorless source...
Hmm. This may be the only time I've been unhappy to see Isolation Zone. I really want to take the splashable bomb, but premium on-color removal is premium on-color removal.
Marshall Sutcliffe's favorite card to open, though it's a little lower on my list. The potential to draw 1-2 cards a turn is a great late game wall buster, even if the body is negligible. I think I prefer Malakir Soothsayer, but I'm not positive about that.
I may like Sweep Away more than most (grind, baby, grind) but I find that you can get as many as you want, really. Chainmage has suprised me with how high its ceiling is... my opp recently had two and two allies, and I was terrified.
A lot of pros are down on this card, but I've found it to be pretty good in this board-stally format. There are some big fats to send flying, and often your opponent's evasive creatures could be stopped with a simple combat trick. I likes.
Dern near good in with Support, I'd even say. I use the ability less often than you'd think... it's a nice thing to have in your back pocket, but I probably would never use it unless digging for fixing or if I only had two lands.
I love Lamp, but not over curve here.
