I just tried this deck out last night in a tourney and ended up going 2-1 which wasn't too bad. In my first matchup the guy had a pretty slow deck that couldn't really get moving so I just beat him down with first turn Gnarled Scarhide, second turn Pain Seer, and third turn Master of the Feast both games for an easy win. During my second match I played against a white/blue lifegain/aura deck. I won first round with quick aggro, he beat me second round, and third round I got out one of my sided Erebos and stopped his lifegain for the win. The third game I drew ***** hands and ended up losing the first 2 rounds, so I ended up with a 2-1 for the night. Next time I'll definitely use Bloodsoaked Champions over Gnarled Scarhide since I found myself pretty much only using him for a first turn creature, not his Bestow. Also I wasn't running Whip of Erebos in my main deck so I'll probably add 2 of those and take out 2 of my Bile Blights for them. I also wanna add a big creature of some sort so I can have a good tutoring target for late-game Liliana.
^^^
Yeah, I was thinking about running 1 Erebos and 1 Liliana. I'll probably make that change before I play a tourney so I don't top-deck into a second useless Erebos. Also I could always tutor for one while Liliana is on the field.

Yeah, the more I've been play-testing this deck the less I'm liking the Bloodsoaked Champions. He's not a bad first turn drop, but I don't like top-decking him any time after that, and I typically have more important things to spend my mana on (even though the recursion isn't a bad option). I swapped out the 4 Bloodsoaked Champions for 2 Whip of Erebos and 2 Gnarled Scarhide. I've found that Gnarled Scarhide is pretty good because if I draw him late-game I can play him for 4 and turn Master of the Feast into a 7/6 beatstick. Also I swapped out the 2 Grim Haruspex for 2 Erebos, God of the Dead. Even though he deals me damage if I choose to use his draw ability it's still a good option to have and a 5/7 indestructible monster is never a bad thing to have on the field. Also he's a great target for Herald of Torment if you play him for his Bestow cost because he turns into a 8/10 indestructible flyer. The main downfall of this deck is that I deal myself quite a bit of damage so I'm hoping that the Whips help out with this. Also Gray Merchant can give me quite a bit of health late game, and if I decide to side in Pharika's Cure it can be another source of life gain. I'll be playing a tournament on monday and wednesday so I'll let you guys know how this build does.
I've never played Standard format before, but one of my friends recently convinced me to invest in a deck so that I can start playing some local tourneys with him. Here's what I have together right now for the deck. It worked well while I was play-testing it, but I haven't taken it to a tourney yet. Any suggestions are appreciated! Thanks!
Good call on Culling the Weak, I didn't even think of that. I'll maybe switch out the Dark Rituals for those. Abyssal Gatekeeper looks fun too, especially if you have multiples of it on the field haha. I tested Fleshbag Marauder in this deck a while ago and it worked out pretty well. I think I swapped them out for Braids before.
Yeah, depending on who I'm playing against I'll swap out my Demonic Tutors for Diabolic Intents which can actually be better sometimes because it gives me a nice sac outlet. I'd definitely be open to adding in some green or building a similar deck with green in it. Abrupt Decay and Maelstrom Pulse makes this pretty tempting actually. The reason why I'm running Dark Rituals and a low land count is because I've been playing this deck against my brother's legacy elves deck and other fast decks so I've gotta cast certain things as quickly as possible. Turn 2 Phyrexian Obliterator and turn 1 Buried Alive for 3 Bloodghasts on turn 2 helps to give me an edge too. I'll probably cut 1 Braids and 1 Carrion Feeder for a couple Phyrexian Altars because it would be a great sac outlet for me and give me more mana to work with.
I don't think so. I don't remember if I had posted it, I couldn't figure out how to check.
Oh yeah, I had made a *****ty Blue Reaper King duplication deck that didn't work out so you might be thinking of that. Otherwise I don't remember posting it. (edit)
Here's what I've been playing in this deck. It runs really well but I'm sure there's room for improvement if anyone has any suggestions. I haven't made a sideboard yet but I probably will in the future so if anyone has any ideas for that just let me know. Thanks!
Here is the Scarecrow Tribal deck I am currently using. It runs pretty smoothly and is fun to play, but any suggestions are appreciated so I can improve it. Thanks!
Even though I uploaded my own sacrifice deck, I thought it might be helpful to modify your's so it looks more like what you are currently running. Here is what I thought up:
Enchantments (6)
x4 Grave Pact
x2 Phyrexian Arena (The extra card per turn will increase consistency and the 1 life will be made up for by Blood Artist's ability)
I would definitely run 4 Bloodghast in this deck because they are some of the best sac fodder. If you can afford them Bitterblossom is also an excellent card for a deck like this. Sorin Markov is a bit slow for this deck, so if you do want to run a planeswalker I would throw in a Liliana of the Veil. I would also try to run more playsets of cards to increase consistency unless the card is legendary. I run a somewhat similar Sacrifice deck if you wanna look at it to get any ideas.
Here is an updated decklist and a sideboard list. Any suggestions would be appreciated. The sideboard is still a work in progress so I'll probably edit it later as I play and test it out. Thanks for all the help!
Yeah, the reason why I chose Arbor Elf is to untap any lands that have Squirrel Nest on them. I'm thinking about maybe swapping out the Might of Oaks for Druid's Call. Also I might add in 1 or 2 Vigors because it could be pretty effective late game. The other option for a late game card that would be pretty good is Krosan Beast. I'll probably throw Overwhelming Stampede and Might of Oaks or Giant Growth into my side deck when I build it. Might of Oaks is fun because it would pressure the opponent to block a Squirrel Mob with Druid's Call on it. I'm also considering putting a couple Eldrazi Monuments into the side deck as well. Once I work out an updated decklist I'll post it to this thread. Also if anyone wants to edit the current decklist and post it here it would be helpful to me. Thanks for all the input so far! There was definitely some stuff here that I hadn't thought about when I built the deck.
This is a squirrel deck I just made. Any input would be appreciated. It's been running pretty smoothly but some of the quantities of cards could maybe be adjusted to make it more effective and I may have forgotten about some cards that could make it better. I haven't made a side deck yet so if anyone has any ideas of what to put in that it would help. Thanks!!
