I don't know how necessary Temur Ascendancy is or adding blue is. Even without Tempest i can just win on the following turn ( assuming the opponent doesn't scoop when they see all the dragons hit the board)

WOW, Metamorph is Genius... I was actually trying to remember the name of the card I thought might be another 6cc dragon and I looked up Duplicant but sadly it has the same issue with not being a dragon while it's in your hand. Metamorph is actually a perfect solution. Thanks a lot for the input man. I think semblance Anvil as a 1-of might be nice but you're right, the disadvantage of pitching a dragon is kind of hard to justify.

When I have playtested the deck solitaire style on Cockatrice it doesn't seem to fizzle too often. Assuming Dragon Tempest is in play, after 6 dragons have been played it ought to be game over (1+2+3+4+5+6 = 21 damage). There are 16 dragons in the deck currently, getting 6 into my hand doesn't seem to be too bad since over a 4th of the deck is dragons. I do see what you're saying though and I like Cream of the Crop quite a bit. I think Sylvan Library could also make a nice addition if I knew what to cut exactly.

The mana base could use some work, it was thrown together really fast. I think I could probably add more fetch lands to thin the deck out and cut the Mountains. Sol Ring / Lotus Petal type cards are never bad. I can't think of any lands other than ancient tomb that would be all that helpful here.

Some things that I don't particularly like about the deck are Dragonlord's Servant and Lotus Guardian. Servant only reduces by 1 , since all dragons have even mana costs (except for Lotus Guardian which makes him up for review). You need 2 Dragonlord's servants for him to really be all that useful anyways... I think the Incubator's and the Dragonspeaker Shaman's are enough reduction. Maybe adding blue for Ancestral Vision or something to combo off around turn 4 or 5 would be helpful???

Also I don't see why I'd run Kavu Lair over Elemental Bond, I think Bond is strictly better given it only helps me. I'm currently looking for more Cream of the Crop / Sylvan Library type cards now. Thanks for the feedback!!!

Haha thanks man, the idea started to form in my head a reeeeeeally long time ago when I opened a pack of Mirrodin and saw Clockwork Dragon. I was already playing a dragon deck that ran 4x Dragonspeaker Shaman but you can only reduce the mana cost of most dragons by so much. There were several times where I would topdeck my Clockwork Dragon and get to play him for 1 mana because I had 3 Shamans in play. Then I discovered Urza's Incubator and added more artifact dragons to the deck ( Tek, Teeka's Dragon, etc...). The issue then was it was mono red and there was pretty much no way to draw more cards reliably to get more dragons into play.

So I've taken quite a long time off magic and I was bored so I hit up the gatherer and was pleased to see that there were some very flavorful new sets out, including all kinds of tribal stuff (my personal favorite type of deck)

I've always wanted to make this deck work, and now I feel like it can.

The concept is fairly simple, It's not necessarily a 'Combo' in the strict sense of the word, just more of an engine really. First we get out our Dragonspeaker Shaman and/or Dragonlord's Servant along with maybe an Urza's Incubator. The goal is to reduce the cost of all the Dragon cards in the deck hopefully down by 6. This allows us to play all of the cards in the deck for free essentially (except Lotus Guardian, but he can tap to add mana anyways assuming we give him haste). With Kavu Lairand/or Elemental Bond in play, each dragon played let's us draw, hopefully into more dragons. If Dragon Tempest is in play it's safe to say that they lose that turn unless they have an answer. I realize there isn't really ANY removal, burn, or toolkit of any sort in this deck. When I do something combo oriented I typically go for an all-in approach. I'm just looking for feedback, and I wanted to share my idea because I thought it was a really fun deck to playtest. One of the only card's I'm unsure about is the Dragonlord's Servant. He doesn't seem to really be all that necessary considering that there needs to be a reduction of 6 for the deck to really go off, and he only provides a reduction of 1, whereas just getting either two Urza's Incubator's and a Dragonspeaker Shaman (or vice versa) gives the reduction of 6 that we need.

Overall the deck is pretty cool, I think it's crazy fun to just dump dragons out of your deck and watch the damage pile up. It also gives some dragons that don't see a lot of love some time in the spotlight.

Anyways let me know what you think! It's good to be back!!!

I think i might take out 2 steel overseer's and put in 2 lodestones. It gives you something against combo-ish decks and he's a good body for 4 even if you're having a bad game. Personally I'd cut the overseers completely but that's just because i'm not a huge fan of the card. Vault Skirge is good in this especially with swords or jitte out so i'd definitely keep him. Ethersworn canonist is a beast if you splash white

No offense, I mean this deck looks solid and all but, you have Sol Ring, Black Lotus, Lotus Petal, and a Mox in almost all your decks. I personally feel like this is sort of a cop-out. Drawing a hand with a singleton of any one of these on your first turn isn't really an indicator of how the deck performs, and personally i don't even think it's fun at that point. Don't get me wrong, this deck slays most decks that aren't going to win on turn zero. You also might have trouble against certain burn variants. I think Lodestone golem would be a good addition.

Look at "oops all spells" if you're trying to make this more competetive

Are you intent on making this an artifact/ goblin deck? Because if you are that's cool, there's some synergy with some of the stuff you have here, but there's also some 'fat' i think you could cut.

To be honest, adaptive automaton is kind of bad here. There are better lords for every tribe out there and automaton exists for players who want to build neat-quirky decks around creature types that don't have many (or any lords at all) like ogres or ninjas or something. The Kuldotha Rebirth + Memnite is a neat little trick, but there are better ways to get goblin tokens out. I will agree that it's a nice first turn to draw memnite, mountain, and rebirth, you can swing on the next turn with a kicked bushwacker and start the game off pretty well. The problem here is when you draw memnites on your 7th and 8th turn. Ideally the game shouldn't take that long with this deck, but the point remains the same, you're using 2 cards to get 3 1/1 tokens which isn't really that efficient as the game goes by. I also agree that Reverberate is another generally bad and gimmicky card that doesn't really fit in here. You shouldn't be using mana to copy spells, you'd be better off just playing Lightning Bolts. Your goal is just to kill them ASAP before their combo, plan, or big spells come out. I don't know what kind of budget you're on but Goblin Guide, Goblin Lackey, and Goblin Piledriver are some of the best goblins out there, especially the Piledriver, he will win games on his own easily. Mogg War Marshall is also a pretty efficient creature.

I think Kobo could be represented by Imawori of the Open Fist, or Humble Budoka, although both spells are green.

I LOVE this idea, i've loved the lore in MTG above all else. And the Kamigawa block in my opinion had the best set of books (also really really enjoyed the Tezzeret book)

Loxodon Warhammer has amazing synergy with Hidetsugu and can win you the game in multiplayer. It's still pretty beast on it's own.

I used to run a control/burn deck with Toshi using Forbidden Orchard and Varchild's Warriders along with Night of Soul's Betrayal to basically just give them creatures that would then die triggering Toshi's effect

I think this card is really strong, even as just 5 mana for permanent removal. I think i feel like it's missing something though, maybe something old school like flashback, or even kicker. I haven't seen kicker in a while and it would be cool to be able to grab say 2 extra permanents for an additional 5 mana? Maybe that makes it too strong but hey, just a thought. As is, I would run this in Mono B control.

I had this idea a long time ago, the name is still up in the air, couldn't really think of anything

    Vesh, the Wanderer2UG

+1 You may put a 2/2 green/blue mutant creature with changeling into play
0 Target creature gains +2/+2 and changeling until end of turn
-2 Search your library for a creature card with converted mana cost 3 or less and put it in your hand, skip your next draw step
-6 You get an emblem with :All nonland cards in your library, hand, battlefield, and graveyard have all creature types at all times.

This planeswalker was inspired by the riptide stuff from onslaught. I had the idea for him thinking about making a UG tribal deck and i thought it'd be cool if there was a better way of using different creature types together for example, an Elf, Merfolk, Samurai, Snake, Illusion, Elemental, Soldier, Warrior, Wolf deck... you get the idea.

The third ability might be a little strong as a tutor, but the idea for the planeswalker himself was that, as a result of the destruction of the Riptide project, Vesh was born and discovered he had the ability to shapeshift, he used this ability to blend in with many different cultures on Dominaria and became something of an ambassador type between tribes ( hence his ability to bring creature types together, the idea for the tutor was to be able to say, bring a lord of atlantis and Elvish champion out together) His ability to planeswalk allowed him to continue his business on many planes, Lorwyn, Kamigawa, etc...

Yeah i know Vigor doesn't interact well with the counters from planeswalkers, it can however get me a *****ton of wurm or beast tokens

I like the Idea of using the ajanis... but i'm a little opposed to making this a 3 color deck. I specifically like Ajani Steadfast for his ability to boost other planeswalker's loyalty count. Would doubling season interact with that?

Going to look up some good counter/token white cards

Just recently got back into magic

The idea for this deck is pretty much to play doubling season/primal vigor, and follow with garruk/rings of brighthearth

This is a very barebones idea and just the skeleton of the deck so far without any removal or draw

I am aware that Planeswalkers don't actually get double counters from activating abilities, they do however come into play with double counters, which enables you to do some cool ***** with Garruk the turn he comes into play

I also considered dipping into another color as I know I can't have more than one garruk out at any given time
Jitte also might be good here

Good to be back and can't wait to hear ideas!

I saw Crosis' Attendant for the first time the other day, and i realized "**** man, it's Ironman..." Which got me thinking if i could find similar cards with art that resembled the other avengers and/or things related to them.

I'm hoping you guys could help me figure out how to build a deck around this idea.

The goal would be to have one creature who represents each hero (maybe more if we're talking about a different form of them) and spells, auras, equipment to back them up.

Right now here's what i've got:

    IRONMAN

    THOR

    THE HULK

(Other random cards, Battlergrowth could go on Wolverine, Primoc Escapee looks like Beast, Nova Chaser and Flame Spirit look like the Human Torch)

Captain America just needs to be a human soldier, with some auras and shield related equipment.

Let me know what you guys think! I think this could be really fun.
