Hi, could you elaborate more on 'done pretty well at tournaments'? I like your idea but it looks like a pretty inconsistent deck to me. With only 2 counters you would probably get recked by a Rakdos's Return. With so many sorceries I doubt you won against any fast aggro decks, a turn 3/4 hellrider might be pretty heavy since you only run 3 Far//Away. How do you deal with a ramping Naya deck (Turn 2 Domri, turn 4 Loxodon then Thundermaw and whatnot)? My basic question here is: What did you play against and how did the match go?
I used your idea (tuned it a bit) and played it on cockatrice and it felt very lacking as there were lots of things I didn't have an answer too (not the best player in the world too ).
At the two tourneys i have played in, gw humans, naya humans and dega aristocrats have been the meta. every game i saw a staticaster i won basically. i've never really had much problem with domri. Mutavaults, ratchet bombs, ral zarek and dreadbores have been fine. The only card i didnt like in most matchups were mizzium mortars. I ended up changing a few cards since then.
I personally LOVE ratchet bomb in this deck. It add so many different dimensions of play. When an opponent sees a ratchet bomb it slows them down a little. They don't want to commit more 1 or two drops and it makes it easier for me to catch up. also it provides a solid answer to other artifacts and enchantments.
Divination, i fell in love with that card. I like it over think twice because it is more mana efficient and just straight raw card power. I don't mind tapping out on turn 3 to draw 2 cards and late game, its better. I do agree that my curve needs to be lowered and the list you have looks nice. i totatlly forgot about magmaquake. i'll have to give it a shot.

i developed this based off traditional solar flare back in the day. using wraths and draw effects to grind out card advantage. I dont like counterspells due to the tap out effect of this deck

I was actually thinking, and follow me here, about running one sun titan, one frost titan and one inferno titan. Sun titan would be great to recycle fetches and walls. Frost titan would be able to lock things down and inferno titan....no explanation other than being able to blink with venser...seems legit

Stonehorn Dignitary is in the deck because of the synergy with venser. If i can go turn 4 him against aggro or mono red, then turn 5 venser..ill probably win unless they can burn him out. Also, he is another good target for splinter twin.

After some testing tonight, i think i am going to cut 1 pillar and 1 far//away and add two turn//burn but im still undecided about that.
