Can I say best precon rare in quite a while? Its not often you get something with an immediate big impact on the game as this. Sure Champion of the Parish and Stromkirk Noble were precon rares too, but they're cards that 'wait' for something before becoming stronger. Zealous Conscripts enters play with bad intentions off the bat. Getting one of the Precon just for the auto 1-of Foil copy
Blade Splicer was pretty nice too. This card is surely my favorite creature spoiled so far. It will see play and will win many games.
I play it MD on U/W Tron and like it a lot. Its never a dead card in the current meta.
Yeah,I have it MD on my Tron also. Lately though whenever I'm thinking of any deck with white it seems to be an auto include since it just gets the job done so well. I'm actually really interested in seeing some prison-lockdown archtypes develope.
So What do you think of Ghostly Prison in the current Modern meta? It severely slows aggro like Affinity, clogs up Delver lists control set up, makes Man-Lands costs rediculous, ect., ect..
Don't looks bad My only doubt is Bloodghasts cause it's aggro creature and you don't have more uses for him (can't block). The same thing about Viridian Emissary which needs to die o give you a land.
I added the Bloodghast for insurance because of my Black Sun's Zenith. I can wipe the board, drop a land and have at least one creature inplay. Same for Viridian Emissary, I can kill him and get a land (that will recall the ghasts) or trade with an opponents creature and get the land, he's a 2/1 so he can do some damage early. They are great eco-friendly recyclable creatures for the early game, that also are great for the late game (ramp, hasty beaters).
So the meta is pretty set right now but there are many new cards waiting in the wings that will shine when standard rotates with Innistrad. What three cards that get little or no play right now do you think will be stars in the next Standard? Here is mine:
Massacre Wurm : Nukes the board, life loss from creature removal, a healthy 6/5
Decks that want -2/-2 effects wants it at turn 2-4.
Decks that want to be casting 6 drops wants game ending effects. -2/-2 is not a game ending effect, neither is the life loss unless your opponent somehow got a massive swarm of weenies on the board and somehow, you haven't died to it yet.
I've seen a Massacre Wurm end a game, by itself, on turn six when it was dropped quite a few times. After rotation I think it will really take off(or at least make some impact).
So my opponent shape anews his lone Trusty Machete into a Blightsteel Colossus . This leaves him with no artifacts in his deck. If I Shape Anew his Blightsteel forcing him to sacrifice it will it go to the graveyard just to be shuffled in and pulled out again or does it trigger after Shape Anew looks through the deck for an artifact?

It has been working out pretty well. Any critiques would be appreciated.
Massacre Wurm : Nukes the board, life loss from creature removal, a healthy 6/5
Sangromancer : I know, a longshot. I think there is a decent chance that discard becomes a viable option again post Vengevine Bloodghast Obstinate Baloth and Eldrazi. The life gain from this plus removal should be pretty significant. Would work well with a Sword of Feast and Famine .
Mirran Crusader : Yes he does see play but not as a staple and often in the sideboard. He is a house plain and simple.
Some of my speculation comes from the thought that Innistrad will be "the black block", but that's just a thought..... yours?
