    posted a message on Harden Scales + Cathar's Crusade + Thalia's Lieutenant
    Quote from WizardMN »
    Cathars' Crusade
    Hardened Scales

When Thalia's Lieutenant enters, you have 2 triggers from Crusade and 2 from Lieutenant. When the first Crusade trigger resolves, to put 1 counter on each creature, it will change to 2 from the first Hardened Scales and then to 3 from the second. So, each creature will get 6 counters total from the 2 Crusade triggers.

Then, the Lieutenant triggers work the same way. Each human with get 3 counters from each trigger. At the end, every Human creature (other than Lieutenant) will get 12 counters. Each Lieutenant will get 9 counters (6 from Crusade and 3 from the other Lieutenant).

So, you will end up with a 13/14 inspector and 2 10/10 Lieutenants.

You forgot the lieutenants second ability (whenever another human enters the battlefield under your control, put a +1/+1 counter on thalia's lieutenant) So since each lieutenant sees the other one enter the battlefield they each get another counter which change to 3 with the hardened scales. So each lieutenant would be a 13/13

posted a message on Spell Queller + Counterspells on the stack.
"116.3b The active player receives priority after a spell or ability (other than a mana ability) resolves.

116.3c If a player has priority when he or she casts a spell, activates an ability, or takes a special action, that player receives priority afterward.

116.3d If a player has priority and chooses not to take any actions, that player passes. If any mana is in that player’s mana pool, he or she announces what mana is there. Then the next player in turn order receives priority.

116.4. If all players pass in succession (that is, if all players pass without taking any actions in between passing), the spell or ability on top of the stack resolves or, if the stack is empty, the phase or step ends."

these rules may help, if official rules will help in this situation.

posted a message on If you could errata a creature's type(s)...
    Quote from dLANCER »
Thermo-alchemist Alchemists are wizards, not shamans.

There tons of walls I would change to be zombie in addition. And I dislike how much love Skeletons get.

I respectfully disagree, wizards practice magic without much add of alchemy. Personally I think it should have been an artificer, since that is closer to alchemy then wizard or shaman for me.

posted a message on Menace vs Valor made real(creature can block any number of creatures this turn)
    Relevant rulings for part 1:
"702.2c A creature with toughness greater than 0 that’s been dealt damage by a source with deathtouch since the last time state-based actions were checked is destroyed as a state-based action. See rule 704."
702.2b Any nonzero amount of combat damage assigned to a creature by a source with deathtouch is considered to be lethal damage, regardless of that creature’s toughness. See rules 510.1c-d"
(rules that says when a creature with deathtouch deals damage it destroys the opposing creature)
"510.1d A blocking creature assigns combat damage to the creatures it’s blocking. If it isn’t currently blocking any creatures (if, for example, they were destroyed or removed from combat), it assigns no combat damage. If it’s blocking exactly one creature, it assigns all its combat damage to that creature. If it’s blocking two or more creatures, it assigns its combat damage to those creatures according to the damage assignment order announced for it. This may allow the blocking creature to divide its combat damage. However, it can’t assign combat damage to a creature that it’s blocking unless, when combat damage assignments are complete, each creature that precedes that blocked creature is assigned lethal damage. When checking for assigned lethal damage, take into account damage already marked on the creature and damage from other creatures that’s being assigned during the same combat damage step, but not any abilities or
effects that might change the amount of damage that’s actually dealt. An amount of damage that’s greater than a creature’s lethal damage may be assigned to it."
(Emphasis mine, which means that a creature with 1 power only gets to deal 1 creature any damage, by above rules on deathtouch that means that one creature is destroyed)

    For part 2:
"702.110b A creature with menace can’t be blocked except by two or more creatures. (See rule 509, “Declare Blockers Step.”)"
    (Emphasis mine)
Along with the fact that all the rules on menace don't say anything about creatures which block additional creatures (see rule 702.110a and 702.110c) that is really all there is to that ruling. Is the creature with deathtouch 2 or more creatures? no.

posted a message on Infinite mana combo in standard!
Currently there is a 3 card combo being played in standard, which is just brood monitor, eldrazi displacer, and zulaport cutthroat, that just seems like a simpler and better combo than what you have assembled, because it needs less parts to combo off. Also you don't need the relief captain, hangarback walker, bone splinters, part of the combo, just have infinte mana, then you can keep blinking the brood monitor, to make arbitrary numbers of tokens, and then use chasm guide to give the tokens haste.

posted a message on how do you guys feel about equip hate for black?
First of all endl, the color pie is important when talking about the color pie. The color pie is the concept of each color getting a share of the mechanical effects, so of course it plays a part in discussing when discussing if a color should get a mechanical effect. You've also been dismissing the color pie arguments without directly responding to them, which will lead to people like me repeat the argument until you properly and adequately address it.
Also, while the rules of magic do change, they do 't change willy nilly, and magic design is influenced by what the rules allow. The rules are more than an existing framework. But that argument was really just for the equipment are artifacts tangent, so I don't see why you keep bringing it up. If you think that the color pie is just some existing framework, then could you please make that clear, because I am not sure if you are trying to say that.
