Michael, do you think that you could post sideboard plans? I mean I can figure out what should come in but not sure what's bad in the deck in certain match ups. Thanks
I have a deck built that is similar to this, but one card that I think that you need Story Circle for burn match ups because they dont have to attack to kill u
Well I guess I meant more a fun deck that isnt just a degenerate combo deck... Just want to play a game of magic that I enjoy playing the game not just have on of us sit there and watch the other one play the game
Hello Im looking for a fun fair deck to play. I proxied out a dream halls deck and I like it, but i played it against someone and comboed out turn 4 and he didnt have any conterspells. He then just gave me the match because he didnt feel like playing against it. I really hated making him feel like that. I really open to anything, and there is no budget. The only place I would be playing it would be a LGS that has a 6 dollar legacy tourny that they dont care about proxies.
It has some very competitive players, so I need the deck to at least have some chanc of winning against real decks.
I recently built this deck with my own minor changes and techs, Sacred Wolf and Divine Reckoning. I have gone to 2 IQ's with this deck. The first one, I lost first round then won 4 straight, losing my win and in to boros humans and having to mull to five against them game 2. The second one I just finished at and again lost first round but won it out and got 4th.
I never really have a problem with the mana base, but thats because I dont play the double white mirran crusader or paladin. I dont really find them necessary. The only time i have trouble with it is the double white for destiny, but i dont run into it that often. I understand where people are coming form with caverns. I had two in there at one time, but everytime i drew it I wished it was a colored source most of the time. I would usually end up holding onto it and waiting to see which i had first, the stalker or the geist. Just never really liked drawing it.
Im trying out a new style of deck, I built a budget kaalia punisher deck but couldnt stand not having the colored mana requirements, so Im just going r/b hardcore punisher. I know its a mean deck, but Ill just play it every once in awhile online. Any suggestions are welcome. Im looking for more ways toeither lock down the board, or protect myself until I can
Theres your deck in an easier to read format. I had an animar deck for awhile and it can get pretty ridiculous with the right cards. I would suggest taking out possibly some of the mana ramping for more synergy. I dont know if you know the mechanic, but morph works very well with animar. If he has 3 counters on him, you can play a creature morphed for free. Be careful however, he does not reduce the cost to flip them face up.
I built your sharuum deck by the way, with a few minor changes and it is awesome... I cast spine of ish sah 3 times in one turn with it. I was looking to also try this deck but i was wondering if you have play tested it that much and how it runs.
I was watching SCG Salt Lake and I saw someone with a esper tezzeret deck with venser. I kind of wanted to build it but cant find a deck list anywhere. does anyone have the list or a list i could work off of?
Sorry guys i was in class. I am with the counters drawing hate. I for one hate when my stuff gets countered so thats why I dont like playing with them. and i have a glissa deck i built for my friend thats pretty controlling, lots of silly things with glissa.
I was actually leaning more towards wort, but without LD, kind of ramp into big burn spells with fatties and ramp, but alot more controlling than most.
Teneb seems like it opens up a good control deck with some of the good colors of non blue control, but i would think that it would open up alot of hate since hes usually a reanimator type deck and usually gets hated on.
I kind of want to build a control deck without blue, but also something different, like r/g or b/g. What color combination would probably be better and which commander?
