(My apologies for not replying sooner and for not giving notice. My CPU crashed and I've been really busy with my new job and hadn't been able to secure Internet access for more than a few minutes at a time. I have my CPU back however, and shouldn't be going anywhere anytime soon.)

Rythos grunted and shook his head. He didn't trust the Merfolk at all, but he did realize that they would have more knowledge of the area than the crew of the ship.

"Rythos apologize for trsspassing. Did not know this was Merfolk territory. Any assistance to lead us out of your waters and to land and medical aid would be much help" he said, trying to be as diplomatic as possible.

Rythos nodded. "Best hurry to get treatment for you. Rythos deal with Merfolk..." he grunted as he adjusted his satchel. "Swamps...Merfolk...Rythos not getting paid enough for this..."

Rythos spat and growled. He recognized these...abominations. "Merfolk..." he said...

Rythos looked back at the swampland, and then to the boat...and the open sea. The two things he hated most...the swamps, aligned with black magic...and water...that of blue magic. As he got into the boat, he could be heard grunting under his breath..."Better be forests next, Rythos hate trip so far..."

Rythos returned in time to hear the suggestion to find a town and nodded. "Rythos find no trail to follow. Best idea to find town...get out of filthy swamp"

OOC: Forgive my absence, my internet has been acting up and my work schedule has been crazy...

Rythos shook his head and looked around once more. Finding a trail through swampland was not exactly easy, but if Rythos could navigate through a forest with ease, surely a swamp wouldn't be too much harder...would it? He crouched down and looked for signs of tracks....

Rythos pulled out his dagger, made from the bone of a Craw Wurm and held it up. It was obviously a large creature that it came from, and he knew the Vampire should realize that fact.

"Rythos kill great wurm with bare hands. That..." he motioned to the dead Grave Titan ...that not scare warrior like Rythos. That not scare him."" he grunted, motioning to Kronal. Finally, he pointed his dagger toward the vampire. "You not scare us either. No blood, either find other agreement, leave us in peace, or die."

Rythos casually walked over next to Kronal and said under his breath so that only the white mage would make out his words...it would only sound like meaningless grunting to the stranger and he hoped his appearance would keep the native from realizing he was actually speaking.

"Careful. Thelas gone. May be trap. Keep guard up." he grunted quietly.

OOC: Since I don't like leaving loose ends untied and our blue mage seems to not be returning...time to cut him out of the RP?

IC: Rythos looked back to the mysterious native and Kronal...and realized something. Where was Thelas? The blue mage had seemed to completely vanish...which had Rythos on alert...was this mysterious stranger alone? Was this just a plot to pick them off one by one?

Rythos decided that Kronal would be fine for now, and he began to explore the area around him, staying within sight of the white mage and their mysterious native contact. "Nothing but filthy swampland as far as I can see." he grunted to himself.

Rythos stayed back, but alert. If Kronal needed any backup, it would be a matter of a second for Rythos to spring into action. He watched the motions of the native carefully for the slightest sign of hostility. Something about him made Rythos uneasy...perhaps he was a black mage...that would explain a lot. Rythos decided that must be the case here.

Rythos looked over at the mysterious being, and then quietly answered Kronal. "Seem like wolf intimidate stranger. Perhaps you make contact. If trouble, Rythos step in, but Rythos large man. Intimidating as well." he grunted quietly.

Rythos watched the wolf trotting over to the mysterious stalker they seemed to have picked up. However, he still made no move to communicate, feeling that to be better handled by someone other than him...he was mostly hired muscle on this trip anyway.

OOC: The blue mage seems to have abandoned us....

OOC: Erm...has our blue mage disappeared?

OOC: Are you sure? 6/6 gets -1/-2 making it 5/4...first strike knight deals 3 leaving it at 1...giant assigns 1 point of damage with deathtouch to the knight killing the knight...kronal takes remaining 4. If the Titan didn't have Deathtouch then Lo13 would be right but it should be 4.

Rythos noticed the being in the shadows and watched but didn't make any attempt to communicate or approach.
