I've been getting in some good games lately with the deck. I am hoping to maintain a sort of journal of all my gameplay to review here.
The list has been functioning fairly well. Happy with how things have been going. As of right now, I am unsure of keeping Dead Man's Chest. Sometimes it's really lackluster, especially if the only creature out is someone's commander. I will have to give some thought to this and maybe find something else to try in its spot.

Shrine of the Forsaken Gods
Karn, Scion of Urza
Arch of Orazca
Haven't updated in awhile, since Amonkhet to be exact. There really hasn't been much that can make this deck more over the top than it already is, but I did find some cards that can fit well in here. Pirate's Pillage is more card draw that can also create sac fodder for Daretti, or ramp us into another spell. Karn, Scion of Urza is more card draw, but can also create artifact bodies for attacking/blocking/sac fodder. Arch of Orazca just gives us another outlet for card draw, but only when we have the city's blessing.
To make room, I took out Blood Moon mostly because I don't want to shut off our lands, even though it also shuts opponent's off. We can't recur it, so once it's in the graveyard, it's done for anyways. Dust Bowl is expensive for land destruction, so it got cut. Shrine of the Forsaken Gods didn't really do much for the deck, so it was an easy choice to make.
I also removed the Visual Deck List and Pimpage sections. I know longer have a physical copy of the deck and it's accessories, so I feel like these are no longer necessary.

It is a bit of a bummer, as I do miss playing games in person, but financially and timewise, this is my only option. Hopefully I can get a better computer setup and time to actually record games and keep a frequently updated YouTube channel.
May 21, 2018I’m having a heck of a time finding something to cut. I took out Blood Moon for new Karn, but can’t seem to find something else for Pillage. Got a lot of thinking to do.Posted in: Multiplayer Commander Decklists
In all honesty, I may end up dropping a land...

Pirate's Pillage has been amazing for me. It really doesn't cost any more than Tormenting Voice but it gives two artifacts that can be used to store mana or cycled with the commander. You also get to set up a rez off of it with the discard effect of the card. I really can't sing its praises loud enough. Its a card I have started using a lot more in general and I think it has a real home in Daretti.
I apologize for not responding when you first suggested it. That really does seem bonkers here. I’m definitely going to try it out.
I think I’m gonna cut some of the lockout cards, like Blood Moon and the Orb/Clock lock. Thoughts?
May 19, 2018After going through the newest sets, the only card I can imagine going in here would be Karn, Scion of Urza. Kinda sad to be honest. Mox Amber doesn’t do much here. Jaya Ballard’s second ability is the only thing we’d really use.Posted in: Multiplayer Commander Decklists
Does anyone have any thoughts?
May 18, 2018Posted in: Commander (EDH)Quote from ISBPathfinder »There is also some level of concern that my current LGS plays on Wednesdays. My wife is a pastor and Wednesdays tend to be a busy day for her so once we do have kids, I might not be able to get away especially on the day they play.
Right now its great in that she is booked already so I would otherwise be sitting at home alone most of the night so me running off to play is no big deal.
You could also make friends there in the meantime and maybe they'd be up for going to your place to play sometime. That's what I did towards the end of my paper run.

I've decided to replace Relentless Rats with Rat Colony in order to give the deck a little bit of speed. While Relentless gives you the toughness boost, and isn't susceptible to mass 1 damage effects or -x/-1 spells, being able to pump out Colony faster will hopefully mitigate that. Also has great synergy with Skullclamp.
Added more tribal support cards as well. It is a Rat tribal deck afterall.
I will work on a write up eventually. I want to get this list loaded into MTGO and hopefully get some testing in.
May 18, 2018I'm going to have to go through this list and see if I can find anything interesting in recent sets to give this deck a little tune up. I might have to get it loaded into MTGO soon.Posted in: Multiplayer Commander Decklists
May 18, 2018I've got two kids (three if you count our nephew we have custody of) and there is very little free time to play. Between work, household duties, school, activities, etc., there's barely any time left in the day. That's the main reason why I had to quit paper magic (and my LGS closed). I did start back up on MTGO, and yet there still isn't much time to play.Posted in: Commander (EDH)

I will add it to Gonti's Treasure Vault to save for future use. I am currently happy with the setup I have now, but may change out a few things here and there. Thank you!
Oct 10, 2017Posted in: Multiplayer Commander DecklistsQuote from VashBismark »So I am retiring this Primer effective today. Ever since moving back in 2016, I have not played nearly as much MTG and have slowly been scaling back on my cards, selling some off or just giving to close friends, to the point now I haven't even purchased or put any effort into recent sets at all. I continued to maintain effort into this site, but I can clearly tell that I am not that into it anymore...
To whomever reads this material and finds any future inspirations, I am glad you utilized my thread in any way possible. May your future games go awesomely!
Well...this is very unfortunate. I, too, have unofficially retired my deck and sold off the physical copy of it. After seeing this, I’m giving some consideration to keeping mine alive via online playing until the time comes for me to put it together IRL. Much thinking to do...
Still, very sad to see this happen. You and ISB were my inspirations for building the deck.
Jun 27, 2017I've been in the process of doing a write-up, and the first post is what I have done so far. If anyone sees some errors anywhere, or something I am missing, please let me know. I will probably submit this for Primer status once I am completely satisfied with everything.Posted in: Multiplayer Commander Decklists

I used to run mana doublers in the form of Caged Sun and Gauntlet of Might. I found out that I didn't need as much mana as they could produce, so I dropped Sun first, and then eventually Gauntlet. The deck hasn't really slowed down much, if any, without the doublers.
The thing I don't like about Lens is you lose a land in order to double up on your mana, and if they have removal for it, you just got 2-for-1'd. And if you recur it, you lose more lands. Just not a fan of the card.
