Nov 30, 2017secretgiant posted a message on If You Can't Take Criticism of Jeremy Hambly, You're Part of the ProblemThis article is wrong to characterize anyone with sympathies to dimensions to complex problems as Nazi-lovers. Freedom of speech is a legal right, but harassment is sometimes illegal. People who say things we disagree with should be countered in a principled way or ignored. If speakers are mercilessly harassed (I don't know if Hambly was genuinely harassed) for their speech, that is not ok. I believe Sprankle has been insulted for sexual and gender reasons and I don't respect Hambly's position on how to characterize women. Behavior like Hambly's is known to exclude women from all kinds of environments, so I don't doubt that sometimes women avoid MTG because they don't want to be treated like animals. But harassing him as revenge accomplishes nothing good. It reveals that the friends of women in our community agree with these methods. The way deal with things we don't agree with are as important as our beliefs. Men in our community that hate women are harassers, it seems, and some of the men that defend women are harassers too.Posted in: Articles
People like Hambly and his speech and behavior should be condemned by the community and members of the community must stop tolerating an anti-female environment.

Remand and Condescend are good cards. That Cat Snake does seem pushed pretty hard but it isn't clear at all that the card will be influential in any format.
There are a bunch of cards I totally forgot that were banned.... Jitte is so expensive....
Liliana of the Veil
Umezawa's Jitte - Mythic?
Simian Spirit Guide
Nourishing Shoal
Saffi Eriksdoter
Death's Shadow
Voice of Resurgence
Doubling Season
Cavern of Souls - No mythic land yet
It is true that they say this, but what I want to know is how could buying a magic card that depicts an ashy wasteland be more true than buying real real estate in real life?
Speculation
Yawgmoth UBRG - Non-white - Grandfather of Phyrexia. Most evil villan in MTG. Now dead.
Urza WUBR - Non-green - Greatest hero in MTG. Urza has been many colors, mostly blue, but as a sorcerer, scholar, and artificer, non-green is the best bet. Now his head is part of Karn.
Lord Windgrace WBRG - Non-blue - A Panther planeswalker. In the story, he helped Urza defeat Yawgmoth. Then he abolished the use of artifacts in his zone of influence. Now dead.
Serra WURG - Non-black - In the story she mentions that black mana was totally foreign to her plane. Now dead.
Feroz WUBG - Non-red - In the story, he (and Serra) locks away Dominaria under Feroz's Ban to keep it safe. Now dead.
Many other great walkers to choose from for us long-time story people.
I'm glad if the single market is on the low end. The only reason to be mad is if you're a business or a speculator (you said you're mad about expected speculation losses). I'm glad that budget players that buy packs have a shot at getting something valuable to trade away for staples. I won't consider holding onto or speculating on the value if I open a Masterpiece card, as a high-value card I don't need is not worth it for me.
