Throw down Coat of Arms and you can swing for more damage than there are atoms in the human body.

LOLlerscates! That is just epically awesome.......*shifty eyes, figuring out how to do all this efficiently*

We forgot to add add four Pyromancer Ascension, y'know for more lulz than we already had.

shoot, last night I had a thought right before going to bed about the Mycosynth Lattice, You can make the doubling seasons artifacts with it, making for even more tormenting hilarity!

    4 doubling season
Formula is 1 original+#of mirrorworks on the field to copy+ #of mirrorworks copies *16 from DS’s
    Therefore 1+(17 *previous total)
    Mirrorworks 1 1
    Mirrorworks 2 1+1*17 = 18 mirrorworks
    Mirrorworks 3 1+18*17= 307 mirrorworks
    Mirrorworks 4 1+ 307*17= 5220 mirrorworks
    Lets get tricky
    Precursor 1 1 original +2 tokens *16 = 1 original card +32 3/3 tokens
    5220 mirrorworks precursors*16 = 83520 precursor tokens
    make 167040 *16 = 2672640 3/3 tokens for a total of…
    83521 precursor golems and 2672640 3/3 tokens

Precursor Golems 2-4 are the same process, so multiply by 4 and get
    334084 precursor golems and 10680560 3/3 tokens

Rite of replication kicked adds 5 multiples of each*16, so the totals get multiplied by 81, and then add 2 vanillas for each precursor golem added, so 2*5*16*total of precursors, thus the totals will be
81*previous precursors and 81* previous total + 160*(previous total of precursors) vanillas
I will finish this in a sec
    Rite 1 27060804 precursors + 918578800 vanillas
Rite 2 2191925124 precursors + 78734611440 vanillas ((it thinks this is a phone number lolz))
    Rite 3 177545935044 precursors + 6728211546480 vanillas
    Rite 4 14381220738564 precursors + 573392484871920 vanillas
Total: 587,773,705,610,484 3/3 golems that die to a single lightning bolt

Mirrorworks just is so much fun with doubling season. and this is even more fun than the contagion clasps lol. Add in Rhys the Redeemer and you can double that even again. Just so epic! (plus then there is the blue imposter guy from saviors, i believe he can copy Rhys if I remember right)

So (assuming you have infinite mana engine): 1 MW card + 4 DS 2nd MW creates 16 tokens: 2 MW cards + 16 MW tokens = 18 3rd MW creates 18*16 = 288 tokens 3 MW cards + 304 MW tokens = 307 4rd MW creates 307*16 = 4912 tokens 4 MW cards + 5216 MW tokens = 5220 Now you put 4 Contagion Clasps, each is copied 5220*16 = 83520 times. The final result is 4 + 4*83520 = 334080 Contagion Clasps. (I hope the calculation is solid). However, at this point, the game has long ends in a draw due to you exceeding the time limit for this tournament round, as well as the next one, most likely. Also, if you make your Contagion Claspo tokens out of plutonium, you have just destroyed your tournament organizer.

Lolzed so hard at this one, just such a comical way to win (i'm talking about friendly play not tourny, my work schedule doesn't allow for me to get to too many tournaments anymore).

Um, this is wrong. Each Doubling Season DOUBLES the number. Second Mirrorworks will result in 16 tokens, not 5. Similarly for later.

See, and the fun just keeps on getting bigger! OMG *really getting tempted to do a green deck now......so tempted to switch sides to phyrexian now too*

Finally the mirrans get some cards that might give em a chance against phyrexia. Especially the burn spell is awesome. An unconditional lash out against infect, yes please:)

I hope the mirran prerelease players will put up a good fight against phyrexia, before inevitably going down against hordes of infected.

i'm choosing mirran for pre-release, I know that (not saying that i'm the best player or anything, just saying it's at least one more count on the mirran side) though I do hope phyrexia wins. I want to see phyrexia win due to the fact that it's more flavorful with magic than the mirrans. Though I like the mirrans better in most senses (except those living weapons seem mighty fun to mess around with)

With effects like this who needs Black Sun's Zenith?

The worst part is I am actually thinking about making a deck revolving around this...maybe add thrumping stone in it just to speed it up.

    EDIT: Pardon me, Thrumming Stone

I hate to break it to you but your math is still wrong Tongue
You start with 1 Mirrorworks and 4 Doubling Seasons
    Count: 1
When you play the second MW you get 1(original) + 1(copied) + 4(from the doubling seasons)
    Count: 7
When you play the third, you get 1(original) + 7(copied from each mirrorworks) + 28(from the doubling seasons)
    Count: 43
When you play the fourth, you get 1(original) + 43(copied from each mirrorworks) + 172(from the doubling seasons)
    Count: 259
    That gives you 259 Mirrorworks.

Then when you play your clasps you get
    4(original) + 4x259(mirrorworks) + 4x4x259(doubling seasons)

That gives you a total of 5,184 Contagion Clasps.. have fun with them..

Thank you, better math is even better Grin it would be a waste to do, but just to see the persons face across from you (or face palm depending on the person) would just be hilarity

actually the phyrexian orb turns up 0 for mirrorworks and the mirran orb gives you 1 so I'm pretty sure it's Mirran.

the phyrexian orb shows for the mirrans and the mirran orb shows for phyrexians

I know I know this isn't very efficient, but it is funny

If you take 4 mirrorworks, and 4 doubling seasons, then play 4 contagion clasps, that is 68 copies of contagion clasp on the table. Myr Galvinizer, Myr Galvinizer, Palladium Myr to get them out, and then one click of the Decimator web and after you proliferate all those times you win 7 times over via poison! Lol, I know so inefficient, but just kinda funny to think about. (scratches head and ponders the application with this set up and thallids...so many fun thallids...and a rhys the redeemed....ok, minds just wandering now)

But I like the Warhammer feel that purge the impure has now especially after jewkar made his comment.

EDIT: Wait, i think it would be more....1+2+4+8 Mirrorworks (each producing tokens as the others enter, leaving 11 of them being tokens so 22+4 due to doubling season x4, so 26) 26 Mirrorworks x 4 countagion clasps = 104 + the 4 real contagion clasps = 108. So there for it is possible to (note, POSSIBLE, not Probable) get 108 contagion clasps out at once just based on ones own deck. one click of poison and you would win via proliferate 10 times, though it only counts as one

I figure the best way to introduce myself is with a few good memories of MTG.

Least on the list of top favorites was Winning back in the day with a purely homelands deck. Made it that way due to the fact that the backs of homelands are slightly different (color and border size) than any other magic set, I wanted to run a homelands card, the store proprietor told me I could if I only ran homelands in the deck. i did and won a lot with that deck.

Fourth was my Ice Age artifact deck...I miss that thing...

Third was single deck apposing my friends Archenemy deck and Magus of the Mirroring him from 73 to 2. He was so angry he almost through the game there.

Second is I went to a tournament after working a graveyard shift. Brought a Force of Will/Shuffle-Draw/Wisdom deck that filled one of the fat pack boxes. Was energized by a two liter of rum and red bull, and came in third. I was aloud a store credit of like 20 dollars, bough a pack of dark and 5 packs of Saviors (they gave those to me at a cheaper price due to the fact I was the only person buying them..this was during Dissension). Wish I would of skipped out on the pack of Dark and just went for more Saviors.

And my Fav Magic memory....Playing my Sek'Kuar Deathkeeper Goblin EDH deck. New surprises for my opponents everytime I play it. And if they don't play EDH, I just shuffle Sek'Kuar into it and play it like it was any other deck....I love my goblins!

So that out of my way, My name is Dymagox, or just Dym. If you are from my area and play at Topps, they call me Poncho, or Poncho Libre. I'm there too much and spend too much money there. But it's all in the name of good fun.

i'm liking the idea of both heroes attacking together, each turn the pairs entourage getting larger and larger.

I wasn't too happy with the courier at first, then after it mulling over in my mind and my gut after a day and a few looks through my boxes, honestly I like it.

I'm just going to say i love the flavor of the card. This is an very well designed card. hitting all wincons to 1/10 is awesome, but also counter intuitive since you only need one to actually win. Adding poison counter without combat is underrated. great design, great flavor.

    <Rant>
The whole set is amazing on that front. I don't care if they remade old cards and just add infect, it's flavorful on that phyrexia is spreading. There are still tons of awesomely designed card like this and knowledge pool as well as many others. this set will be fun to play limited, has some awesome t2/legacy cards, and a great deal of fun EDH instant classics. Stop the hatin' and kudos to WTC on this set. Can't wait to get my box and play some limited, go mirrans.
    </Rant>

I know this post was way back there, but I just wanted to say thank you. I love the flavor of this set and the fact that it is all around an odd set. I mean, I nearly spit my dew out when I saw White Phyrexians...I mean, that never happened before! And they are still the cards out of this set i am most worried about. I think this card is fun just for funs sake, and reminds me of why I play the game...to have fun.
