So I just started League of Legends, I made it to summoner level 3 and is it just me or is there alot of griefers and trolls at this level? Im trying to learn the game and im not doing too aweful and I get stuck in a game with a veigar that goes 1/12 and a rene that goes and kills himself on towers to 0/15 and after the match say they are going to report me for intentionally feeding. (Fyi I was 2/5 as warwick all 5 of my deaths coming from when the other team was pushed into our base at 13 minutes into the game.)
Is there some point I can get through this or is it always like this? I left Heroes of Newerth due to the community and the idiot trolls is it worse here?
Also If I want to main say poppy, should I focus on defensive mastery or attack mastery?
Sideboard is a work in progress. Basic Idea is to abuse show and tell with either emrakul or Leyline/Helm combo. Duress is to see their hand and find out what their holding before a show and tell.
It's not that easy to sell expensive cards, in fact it has been quite hard, unless you severely downprice them. At least in my experience.
Wow! People might start putting perishes again in their sides!
So what, you continue to play blue, a color that would most probably be balanced. Ponder and preordain are no CA. BS is too much like ancestral recall and sculpts hands too easily with fetches, but everyone knows that already, or at least the ones that know when to cast them.
P&P's ban in modern was due to combo being too good, not blue in general. There were no tools to combat them, so they had to ban the things that enabled them to search for the combo pieces.
Also, to the people calling me troll, many other people think like me, it's just that they don't come here where it's full of blue players. I'll link you to the magic show to see EE's opinion just for fun.
And btw, some weeks ago I also thought BS was unbannable and needed for the format to not die to combo. But then I analyzed the format and the card in particular and realized it has to go. I'm too lazy to write more about why it has to be done, I think I already did that several pages back.
The only possible problem for BS's ban is combo becoming too good, in which case you ban a couple cards more and there you go. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=STSh8ElMU7U&feature=feedu
Then where does it end. OH NOES Combo is too good ban more cards. Then aggro becomes the top deck....OH NOES aggro is too good ban more cards. You are clearly a troll and have been from the start.
Your attitude of no one plays blue to only win is a stupid thing to say. People to actually enjoy blue, even when it loses. Im sorry that you dont but that dosent mean you need to ban cards that are no where near overpowered.
This is why I will forever evan erwin to this day, he started this stupid bandwagon and it wont ever seem to end. Its a sad day when the most varied format in existence is full of the most crying for a card to be banned.
BTW If brainstorm gets axed, please ban Sylvan library cause its similar, oh and mirri's guile, and sensei's divining top.
BTW its called ebay i have never had to undervalue a card in my life and I usually get them sold in 2-3 days.
Half of my local player base will quit if brainstorm is banned. Not because its brainstorm, but what it represents. If brainstorm is banned there is NO grounds for it to be banned. If that happens it means that all you have to do is cry and whine and a card will be banned. Legacy will die because no one wants to play modern lite.
This is just about the stupidest calling for a ban ive ever seen. Brainstorm is a good card, but it is nowhere near broken. But honestly, if the future of legacy is to be decided by people who just whine and complain, in the words of south park, screw you guys im going home.
If brainstorm is banned then people will cry for more stuff to be banned. When will it end, when will we let the legacy format correct itself, its done it before but all the bans happen before it can. Legacy goes through cycles, let legacy correct itself.
Survival did not need a ban, people were developing answers, hell whole metagames had 0 survival cause it wasnt viable in the format. Maybe MM need banned, maybe not.
So in advance all of you calling for brainstorm to be banned, thank you for destroying my only realistic way of playing legacy, cause there wont be anyone to play with in my area if it gets the axe. Guys who have played through the ENTIRE life of the game will just walk away.
In closing, Brainstorm does not need banned, but if it does. GG legacy.
It happened to vintage it will happen to legacy, RIP. All of you have fun playing modern and standard and staring at old cards that are worth nothing cause the format died.
I guess I should have described my meta. Cause its shifting to not so fun land.
Belcher, ANT, RUG, Show and Tell, Goblins, Zoo, G/W Stoneblade, BANT Countertop, and Dredge are the top decks in my meta.
Im leaning towards tes or ant because the shorter time limits at my shop almost make it impossible to combo out game 1 let alone play another game. But im still not sure. What is good in a meta full of control?
You should really try to learn and pilot the deck. Now way mindbreak trap or a single Chalice of the Void can stop the deck. The deck has answers for all the hate it can encounter:
- If they side in permanent-based hate, you fight it with bounce.
- If they sde spell-base ahte, you fight it with discard.
ANT is easier to pilot and more consistent than TES, but it has less "raw power" and is a bit slower.
However, of all the decks you mentioned, ANT/TES are the best by far.
I said from my limited testing. I could easily be wrong.
While I can't say anything about Hive Mind, have you checked out Spanish Inquisition? It's the bastard child of ANT+Belcher that makes TES look slow. Non-interactive except for passing priority since it's so masturbatory, but it's an actual combo deck you can play needing only 4x Lion's Eye Diamonds + 1x Bayou as the expensive cards on your way to building a more pricy combo build.
As for your own suggestions, unless you love Metalworker, I would stray away from Forgemaster Combo if there's a lot of control in your meta as it is very much so a "one big play" type of deck. Lots of mana to do whatever you want, but drawing a 2nd decent threat sees to come down to how much your build invests in actually being fast. Beautiful when it works, very clunky when it doesn't.
Back to the note of budget, which builds of ANT / High Tide were you looking at? Grim Tutor and Candelabra of Tawnos can be quite pricey today if you don't have them already, making a couple duals look cheap in comparison.
I was looking for any more of the burning with build cause I cant afford the grims. High tide the candleless build.
For spanish inquisition arent the Cruel Bargains hard to come by?
I do like the looks of it but how does it not auto lose to force of will?
I have decided that i throughly enjoy combo decks especially in legacy. But I am trying to figure out what combo deck to build.
The three im looking at are:
ANTendrils
High Tide
Forgemaster Combo
Im looking for strengths and weakness's and also which is better overall.
I have the workers, monoliths, and city's for forgemaster
So far from my reading a limited testing I see the following S/W:
ANTendrils:
Strengths:
Can be quick
Resilient to some forms of hate via Discard
Weakness's:
Can be stopped rather easily (mindbreak trap, chalice on 1)
has some really bad opening 7's.
High Tide:
Strengths:
Extremely resisistant to hate (Via Force)
Some people just concede while you comboing (at least at my local shop)
Weakness:
Takes a long time to combo off
Time Spiral reloads your opponents hand.
Forgemaster Combo:
Strengths:
Can be brutally fast (and probably needs to be)
Plays big beaters as a win instead of spells
Weakness's
Draw's terribly
Mulligan's horribly
Folds to alot of hate (null rod, stony silence, serenity, krosan grip.)
Win con subject to removal (sword, path)

Thought hive mind was dead. (or so I have been told)
And tes is a little out of my budget, cant afford that many dual lands.
