Forgive me if im being silly for putting this on the competitive forum, but I don't see any other threads about it, and I could have sworn this deck was doing pretty well what with Rats and "Black Hand" winning some spots in Top 8s and what not.

I've been having a decent amount of success with this deck for some time now. It does pretty well against Gifts what with all the discard, and potential Extractions and even more discard in SB. Its pretty strong against Rock as well, And its at worst 50/50 against the more aggro decks like WW and WWr.

Im just a little shakey on what kind of draw if any I'd put in the deck. I would think to try good ole arena, but im tempted to try Dark Confidant perhaps even. Well anywho, heres my awful stab at it.

    SB:

My sideboard is pretty retarded as of now, since Im never good with building SB. So any suggestions on that are more then welcome.

Well anyway, hopefully someone else is trying this deck with some success and we can have some fun words about it, thanks.

I don't get why you haven't tried turning it into a Chord Of The Callingish kind of deck. Maybe even still try running the tron as well, although I can't for the life of my understand why you wouldn't run 4 each.

Either way, Chord or not. I would try Nullstone Gargoyle. wow, hes totally neat when he comes out.

@Pedofeelya: Hehe, what is your name trying to imply?

Although I think shes way hotter then to be considered a "casual" card. I've always loved Phage, The Untouchable. I've had a fun time winning ever so many games against people who insisted she was unplayable.

I'll never understand why more people didn't like her in MBC back then.

I threw together a sort of neat control/burn deck that uses lots of glacial ray splicing and what not. Basically trying to keep the field clear and then use the rest of the damage to the head, but I guess thats kind of obvious what with the whole control/burn moniker and what not. Ohh, im rambling I think my medication is kicking in, anyway:

So far its been doing pretty well against creature based decks, but certainly loses to other control decks like Gifts and what not.

Im thinking of making the sideboard sort of convert it into something with more aggro or discard, maybe stuff like Persecutes or more burn. It's pretty shakey as of right now, but you get the idea.

Well any help or suggestions would be really neat, thanks.

Ohh, I forgot how much I liked Hunter's Kiss, another great one.

Bad Moon Rising is a Creedence Clearwater Revival cover, yes. Everything on Lost and Found was a cover of either old classic rock songs or traditional songs like Three Little Pigs.

Fire and Ice was another one I loved off that.

Off hand, a personal favourite of mine was from Onyx's "Slam". I really love the lyric:

"Hurry up and give me the microphone before I bust in my pants"

I wasnt sure if it meant he was going to deficate, urinate, or other such fluid. But any of the 3 would be totally hilarious. Especially in those big loose fitting jeans of the time.

    Ohhh, the imagery.

Yay, Im quite glad someone has started a thread on this. Raspy has been one of my favourite bands since about the time How We Quit The Forest came out. Sadly I've never in all that time had the godly privilage of seeing them live. Melora's ingenuis commentary would in itself be worth going for. Plus I hear they're doing new songs recently, all of wich are totally pum. But pumness is something that goes without saying when it comes to Rasputina.

So what are some of everyones favourite songs and albums. Me favourite album is actually there most recent studio album, Frustration Plantation. Another thing I love about Raspy is that there one of the few bands I know that have "succesfully" changed and matured as a band. The new album has a harder sound, but still maintains that soft beauty that makes it Rasputina. Nothing but sweet love for that amazing album. Certainly everyone must get Radical Recital as well, the new live record.

    So yeah, favourite songs:
    A Quitter
    The New Zero
    Things That I'm Gonna Do
    Watch TV
    Rose. K
    Stumpside
    Mama Was An Opium Smoker
    High On Life
    State Fair
    Dig Ophelia

Those are just me top 10. But Raspy is one of those bands that doesn't really have any songs that I don't like. Even Mazzy Star, my most favouritest band in the whole world has 2-3 songs that Im not that fond of. But Raspy is 100% goodness in every way.

    1. Do/did you enjoy the show Friends? Christ, no! I'd sooner chug a bottle of bleach then sit through an episode of that show.

    2. If not, how many episodes have you watched? I've never seen a full episode, i've just had the misfortune of seeing a few moments of it whilst mother was watching it.

    3. If less than 3, why do you dislike Friends? Like most god awful sitcoms, its just more of the same terribly written, unfunny, yuppie whining crap. It has nothing to offer, its just the same tired "mid 30s relationship humour" that makes me want to beat myself to death with a hammer.

    4. Could it be because you engage in unsavory rituals involving goats? That might be the case.

    5. There are no other reasons for disliking the show, you know. I mean, "you know?" Im not sure what your implying. Like Will Ferrel, its simply not funny.

    6. Also, Lisa Kudrow does not look like a man: She didn't so much when the show first came on, but near the end they all looked like men, except for the 3 male characthers. God, i hate metrosexuals. I'm an open-minded person, but I can't stand metrosexuals, I say we tie them to the words biggest pick up truck and drag them down the worlds biggest most glass covered highway.

Oh, I totally didnt notice that Faith's Fetters was "enchant Permanent"! I thought it only stopped creatures and was hella confused as to why everyone was running an overcosted Pacifism. Damn, good point, i totally am going to try MDing those.

Although it pains me to do so, i might be able to bring myself to drop the extractions. I still cant help but run them SB though.

As for the Wayfarers, at first I liked the idea of them, and I still sort of do. It just sucks that your opponent basically has control over wether or not you get to use his ability. I've basically only been able to get it off if my opponent goes first. And I draw him opening hand. Im thinking of going down to 2 and putting some birds back in, im not sure though. Maybe even Kodoma's Reach since what with Wrath and what not. Although perhaps two Journeyer's Kites would be even better.

Meloku, certainly I must be doing something wrong with him. Im far too stupid to understand his usefullness and must certainly have it explained to me. All I see is a overcosted flier with the ability to turn all your lands into Hideous Laughter fodder. And the neat drawback of having to basically tap out everything to play him. I know I must be doing it wrong, since everyone says Meloku is great, but I've either held him in my hand cause i didnt need to play him what with Vitu-Ghazi already being out. Or I have played him, and just watched him die to any of the many kill spells. So how do you use this guy effectively?

I really love the whole idea of this deck. I was digging U/W before Mirrodin rolled out with Pristine Angels and Pulse Of The Field, and I was looking foward to a new version of it.

Has anyone else tried Weathered Wayfarer in the deck? Maybe its already been discussed and filled people with disgust, but I've had much fortune with it and really liked how it worked, what with the deck thinnig, mana fixing, and Vitu Ghazi grabbing.

Nonetheless my build looks rather different, and Im open to suggestions indeed. I really want to throw in 4 Telling Time and 3-4 Faith's Fetters. Im just not sure what to take out for them.

    Well heres me crappy version.

Sorry my version sucks, any help is welcome.

P.N.S: What with the editing, it sucks 1/8th less then it did before.
