I was meaning to make a post about this so i'll just hop in here. I keep looking to Basandra, Battle Seraph as an interesting midrange présidente, but all i can think of is mayble Possibility Storm+Rule of Law+(Synod Sanctum+Salvaging Station/Auriok Salvagers) to be on theme with the "stop casting spells" effect,. Voltron just seems tob e too easily brushed off by removal-heavy suites. Maybe it would be worth doing to play a bunch of on-board effects creatures ("1R: Ping", etc).
i don't see Brion Stoutarm mentioned either and i think he'd be a really fun control shell general with a ton of act of aggression-type effects. That one might get around the usual problems associated with boros, but there you're basically using your general to play RW as if it was B, but without all the good draw spells.
you said you run a lot of x-spells though. is that ever a problem? I've had to cut certain spells (with Dream Halls-like effects) from certain decks that have a lot of x-spells.
??? it passes priority plenty after the ME activations and then tormod's crypt stops it unless your Abolisher is out. It doesn't seem like you need a lot of help, it looks like you looked into enough GW combos that as long as you know the rules you're probably fine.
Youmight be runnign too many taplands, especially in conjunction with lands like lotus vale (which seems like a bad land in a competitive environment full of acidic slimes). I guess nobody mentioned that you can't run some of these lands (Seaside Citadel) since they are out of your color identity.i mean, you'll be wanting basics anyway. basic lands r cool. Digging the noxious revival, don't see enough people running that. Good luck have fun
If I entwine Betrayal of Flesh to kill an opponent's dude and bring back Toshiro Umezawa, will Toshiro see the death trigger? I'm not sure I understand when to use last-known board states.
Hello all! Quick rulings question Fling, Blind Hunter
Does the haunt trigger go over the Fling spell and let me haunt the creature I was aiming to fling at?
It seems like you're having problems with your opponent's spells.
I would suggest removing most of your deck entirely for a better shell, ala:
-2x Stoneforge Mystic
-1x Emeria Angel
-4x Squadron Hawk
-1x Sun Titan
-1x Sword of Feast and Famine
-1x Batterskull
-3x Tumble Magnet
-1x Gideon Jura
-1x Venser, the Sojourner
+4 Counterspell
+4 Forbid
+4 Force of Will
+1 Rainbow Efreet (as a difficult to remove finisher)

Voting to remove one copy of Brilliant Halo because I think it's good but we don't need that many.
Adding 1 Indestructible Aura. Alternately Consecrate Land if we have some manlands
you should put in some more expensive cards like 4x Tundra and one of every planeswalker
and you need a better win condition, like Black Lotus-Channel-Fireball
Like 4x all of those
Thank you very much for your quick reply! I appreciate your help and additional information!
During combat, I cast Wake the dead for X=2, targeting Eternal witness and some other summon, and flash in Dualcaster mage targeting Wake the dead.
I sacrifice Dualcaster mage in response to dualcaster's trigger, then i allow that trigger to resolve, and for the new targets of Wake the dead I am choosing Dualcaster mage and the Eternal witness that is still in the graveyard.
I allow this copied Wake the dead to resolve, bringing back Eternal witness and Dualcaster mage, allowing both to trigger.
I stack it so Eternal witness trigger resolves first, and I bring back some other card that I want. I sacrifice Eternal witness. Dualcaster mage copies original Wake the dead again and I sacrifice it again.
Can I continue this as long as I like, or was there a mistake somewhere in ordering this?
Thank you

it's pretty much the most awesome control card ever and you should always run 4 of
