I'd like to shed a little light on the situation here. I'm a friend of Brian and his fiancée, tho I use the term kinda loosely because of the recent behavior. They had some personal issues that do need to be taken care of before he can get to painting again, but it most definitely does not excuse the way they are handling (or not handling) existing orders. I've been unable to get any response out of them in over a month, and it was sporadic for some time before that. I'm sad and kinda angry they are treating customers and friends this way. I'm out a good bit of money, a lot of cards, and apparently two friends. I'm going to continue to attempt to contact them and urge them to at the very least return everyone's cards.

Read the post immediately above yours? Parallels and programs like it run Windows either "coherently" with OSX or in a window.

    I must have mis-read it, I apologize.

Isn't dual booting a little excessive for one program? I've been wanting to play MTGO as well, but currently only have a MacBook Pro, but I'm building a desktop so I figured I could wait till then to play MTGO. Is there not a way to run a simulated win OS within OSX? I remember seeing something about running win98 within a window in OSX a while back, is that no still an option?

Sounds interesting, I like the sound of a leather cover, as one of my Monster binders has a large crack in the front cover (my fault for leaving it in a hot car in the summer for like 2 weeks, made the plastic brittle), but I'm weary of the quality, I've been burned by the quick breakdown of Ultra Pro before (my old Ultra Pro binders were being held together with duck tape towards the end.)
I'm interested to hear how these hold up after some wear and tear. Please update us on this! Smile

My playgroup tends to be obnoxious, especially in casual, like when one guy pulls a Timmy move, he beats the table and shouts "Timmy! Timmy!" The entire group has a tendency to make sound effects as well, for instance, when playing burn, I sometimes instead of saying "Lightning Bolt (target)," I'll point the bolt at the target and say "Pew pew pew!" It's super silly, but we tend to really enjoy it

I'm definitely not going to argue with expanding to EDH (or Commander, as the powers that be would have us call it now), but Standard has recently become a lot more interesting, in my opinion at least. Although that might just be because I can play bad decks and actually do well at FNM again. Sneaky What don't you like about it now?

Also, welcome to the forums! Hope your stay here is enjoyable.

I think it has a lot to do with the crowd in Tulsa, there are a lot of players who are decent, but they win one tourney and they think they are hot stuff. There are pretty much 4 core decks with some variation that dominate, just not very interesting. Limited has been pretty good for me in scars tho. I'm really hopeful Besieged will change the field enough for me to come back to regular tourneys.

Off to play my last EDH game of the year!:D

I'm happy to join the MTG Salvation community. While I'm new to MTG Salvation, I'm not new to Magic. Let me give you a short (hopefully not boring) run down of my history with this monster.
I got into Magic because my best friend had started playing at bit (he worked a a retail store that sold packs and singles and got a sweet discount) and the guy that had just dumped me at the time was big into Magic, and being the smart girl I am, I thought he'd want me back if I was playing Magic. Yeah, that part was super dumb on my part, but whatever -.-
I played Standard for about 9 months (Alara Reborn to Worldwake) pretty strong, playing in 2 tourneys a week damn near every week, till some drama happened at the store I was playing at and my playgroup fell apart (save me and my best friend). We eventually found a new store, that didn't really have a Magic crowd yet (they'd opened 2 or 3 months before) and via word of mouth (mostly the mouth of one very enthusiastic player who also worked retail) within 3 months they had the biggest crowd in town. It's kinda awesome to have been part of that process, even if I didn't do all that much of the leg work. Standard kinda lost its luster a few months ago for me, so I expanded to EDH and Legacy.
I'd love to meet some cool people, trade some awesome cards, and all around just have a good time here.
