I think it might end up a very bomb-centric sealed format.Posted in: Articles

Nov 30, 2017Kryptnyt posted a message on If You Can't Take Criticism of Jeremy Hambly, You're Part of the ProblemThat's fair. I didn't know about any Wolfenstein outcry. If there's flamethrowers in that game, it makes a lot more sense I guess. I still don't think Nazism has anything to do with cosplay however.Posted in: Articles

Nov 30, 2017Kryptnyt posted a message on If You Can't Take Criticism of Jeremy Hambly, You're Part of the ProblemIf the problem is hate speech then the solution is reason. It doesn't matter if you convince the offending party as long as you convince everyone else. If you are advocating violence then you are automatically in the wrong.Posted in: Articles
Then again, maybe when you say flamethrowers are the answer, you're just joking around and people should just not take you so seriously. Do you advocate for Jeremy then? Because I don't. -

Sep 8, 2015Kryptnyt posted a message on The Running Tally of Current Sets for September 4, 2015The purple/pink thing isn't working out. I think even you are confused as to which denotes an increase and which is a decrease, just look at some of those set summary pluses and minuses. Though the temptation to deviate is strong, you must overcome, and try the traditional red/blue out.Posted in: Articles

I think it's a bit different since Mongseng (Kharasa Foothills) and Arkhos (Lethe Lake, River of Tears) still technically exist even though they're to thematically similar to go to. It's different because they've used the name "Immersturm" on Kaldheim instead of a new name for a functionally similar place. I think they'd have rebranded it as something else like they did with the name "Valla" if Valla is just Kaldheim
I guess it's possible that Kaldheim and Valla are the same plane at different time points also
Card's not as immediately threatening as Falkenrath Aristocrat but it also provides a little bit of graveyard hate. Not terrible
I think it's kind of like Planar Chaos, a very red and not at all blue-feeling card. I think maybe the reactivity of the instant version makes it seem less red. A card like Red Elemental Blast feels red when you counter a counterspell with it. What do you think about this one?
Uncertain Steps 1R
Enchantment
Whenever a player casts a spell, flip a coin. If you win the flip, counter it and sacrifice Uncertain Steps.
We've got something less reliable than Lunar Force or Hesitation, but something that feels red to me.
I think Standstill could also be kitted with a coinflip and suddenly be red as well.
Chaos Disruption XR
Instant
Flip X coins. If you win any of the flips, counter target spell.
What do you think about this one? I honestly don't think red needs access to broad countermagic in this way, and that red counterspells would focus mostly on disrupting Instants and Sorceries.
It's not an alternate version of the character, but another attempt at the card.
It's like how Gerrard Capashen is hot garbage and Gerrard, Weatherlight Hero is more interesting but still kind of garbage. Tahngarth's new card might be worse but it isn't bad. Crovax hasn't had a new card in a while but he had 3 cards already.
Well the point of this card is that you can attack with as many creatures as you want, and only get attacked with one. It's not the best one but it's probably almost on par with Thalia, Heretic Cathar
Three drops that only do combat stuff are pretty goofy but work sometimes
Endless Whispers does the job in the right deck
And Ertai's Trickery will still be bad
That giant lady looks super cool. Her braid kinda small tho, c'mon, it's too realistic, gimme a braid that's thick as hell that runs down to her knees
(This is a card that can probably be put on an Isochron Scepter and not end the game immediately but still acquire you advantage.)
