Oh, I guess Aurelia's Fury is a great card if we're talking unhinged rules. End step .1 damage to you and all your creatures!

This card is really good, I like it. It's like Druid's Repository except not actually bad.

Correction; Rolling thunder is sweet in pauper, limited, and nowhere else.

An upgrade of Shielding Plax wouldn't hurt. Same thing but with flash?

I am a fan of cards with trample printed on them twice.

Midrange Naya deck could be cool

    Land, Avacyn's Pilgram
Land, Burning-Tree Emissary, Cloudshift, Rubblebelt Raiders

I'd like to like it but there's so much more I'd rather cast in that scenario. Pity too because it's likely the only other Grull Hybrid.

    [CARD]
Cloudshift[/CARD] in your deck just so you can have an unreliable Pyretic Ritual seems pretty bad to me. Even whispered promises of a turn 2 Garruk are shattered when I realize I have to have an actual 6 cards including land in my opener and first draw.

Shivan Harvest is a thing too.

You know, I've tried Shivan Harvest in a few decks. Even the token deck seemed to capitalize on it less than it should. I guess it depends on the opponent, but i've found it's just better to sac creatures to draw cards with something like Phyrexian Vault.

Deepfire Elemental is pretty convenient for these colors to have.
You'll need a lot of mana if you're using Olivia, so go all out on mana rocks like Rakdos Signet and Charcoal Diamond.

Ring Crypt Smokestack, turn two Sundial of the infinite.
Proceed to end your turn on your upkeep every turn.

To be honest, I don't think that Righteous Authority is even as good as Knightly Valor, since putting that on some sort of 2/5 durdle like Armory Guard can give you a nigh unkillable win condition that can also play defense, plus if they kill it immediately you still have a 2/2 token left over. And that is in no way the best common in the set, or even the best white common.

Knightly Valor is the best white common. It totally is. It's pretty much a blowout if they can't respond to it.

I believe he is pointing out cards that are better on curve that outclass this card both before and after... not a 5 color aggro deck...

This card seems decent I guess, but for 4 mana you could have a hellrider...

Hell, I'd play Druid's Familiar over this thing.

    Best to worst;

    Foundry Champion
    Rubblehulk
    Fathom Mage
    Treasury Thrull
    Consuming Aberration

I can't resist Flametongue Kavu. Ever. Sure, I'll pay six mana. Kuldotha Flamefiend was pretty swell, too.
I want to like Treasury Thrull, but it's not Gravedigger. It has to attack to pull something back. It's only a 4/4, so there's a good chance it'll just get eaten by your opponent's 5 or 6 drop. It's certainly not bad.
Fathom Mage is actually alright with me. My creatures cantrip a few times and I get a 3/3, or a 4/4.
Rubblehulk is kind of awesome and kind of weird. Bigger than Craw Wurm, sure. Depending on the set that could be really good. The pump seems like a fine one too. It seems like an aggressive deck or a grindier one could appreciate this card.
Consuming Aberration is actually pretty good too, but slow. It'll come down on average as a 1/1 or a 2/2 in most games, rest assured. He grows if you've still got gas at that point. Average +2/+2 to +3/+3 isn't bad at all. Can't deny the power of the alternate win, though. He's just a little slow for my tastes.

    For me, I'd go Guildmage.
Next few picks depend on how I'm feeling. I get rewarded if I want to go long game and take Risen Sanctuary, because Rogue's passage is in the next pack Grin
Then it goes Blockade, Armory Guard, Keyrune, and trend that way.
If I had first picked Righteous Authority? You don't need hexproof guys, you need fliers. Eyes, Vassal Soul, Blockade, Tower Drake.
Forcing three colors right off the bat is something I don't like doing. Though, I thought that would be obvious. Leaves you open to sweetness off the splash.
Also, don't be afraid to pass a pack 3 teleportal if it doesn't look good in your deck. You really aren't signaling anymore. It's pretty much a hatedraft at that point.

I've had it played against me (sadly, I've never cast it myself). It's never drawn the opponent a card yet.

Righteous Authority has all of the downsides that creature auras have in general of not impacting the board, providing an easy 2-for-1, opening you up to the ridiculing from better players etc without even being good in the first attack.

Compare that to Cipher, which is a mechanic which looks like an aura but is subtly better. Your opponent can't 2-for-1 you. You actually get the spell effect *twice* in the turn you cast it.

I mean, if Righteous Authority drew you two cards when it came into play, I'd be all over that. But sadly, it's more like a Mulldrifter without the ETB ability, can I can't get excited about that.

I don't know. People are heralding Pursuit of Flight and Deviant Glee as the best things ever in this format. Doesn't Authority follow the same trend, considering it gives 3-5 power and toughness the turn you play it?
As for Cipher, if the card itself doesn't draw you a card, and say, taps down a creature, that's card disadvantage.

Only if they reprint Lightning Greaves in the next core.
    (which I don't see happening)
