Round 1: UG Nexus/Reclamation
Game 1 - Knight of Autumn takes care of Wilderness Reclamation, Conclave Cavalier next turn sticks and is able to wrap it up.
Game 2 - Knight takes care of Search For Azcanta, Syncopate for the surprise Mana Tithe takes care of his Krasis, game didn't go much longer than that
2-0
1-0
In: 2xKnight of Autumn, 3x Negate, 1x Syncopate
Out: 2xSailor Of Means, 2x Adventurous Impulse, 1x Riverwise Auger, 1xDeputy Of Detention
Round 3: GW Tokens
Honestly, I completely punted this round. I'm pretty sure the only spell I was able to cast this round was one Druid of the Cowl, it was that bad. I probably should have mulliganed better, not really sure.
0-2
2-1
Round 4: Grixis Control.
Game 1: He plays a Nicol Bolas, The Ravager, Ravager Wurm fights him then gets in for beats. His removal mostly goes left and right, a Mirror Image on Ravager Wurm takes out his only blocker, letting me get in for the win.
Game 2: Syncopate on his Nicol Bolas, The Ravager leaves him tapped out, I'm able to land Azor, The Lawbringer with some protection.
2-0
3-1
In:1xAzor, 1xSyncopate, 1xNegate
Out:1xSailor of Means, 1xKnight Of Autumn, 1x Deputy of Detention
Ending record: 3-1, 3rd place
Thoughts- Syncopate is such a great gotcha card, I side it in about 90% of the time. Knight of Autumn continues to be one of my favorite cards. I didn't draw Rhythm Of The Wild a single time tonight, which is kinda sad. But I mean, it's not like it was a wasted slot, it didn't clog up my hand or anything, and there were some moments it would have been good. Just variance I guess. Glad to see that the Nexus Of Fate matchup is as good as I thought it would be.
I feel like if you're just going to play Sultai and put Vannifar in, you're limiting what the card can do. The version I've been tinkering with is U/G/W/r. The red splash is just for Rhythm of the Wild, Ravager Wurm, and a couple of sideboard stuff. The deck runs really smooth most of the time. It struggles against your typical Sultai grindy decks, but that's probably the worst matchup. I've played it the past two Fridays and went 3-1 for rounds, 6-2 in games both times. Does great against control and aggro, less great against control.
The deck is super sweet! I've been trying out a UGrw version with a lot of success. I feel like red is almost needed because Rhythm of The Wild. It takes Vannifar from being good but slow to being insane. The white splash helps out a lot with burn and a couple of other matchups too. Here's my current deck, any advice on the landbase appreciated, I'm really bad at that lol
I feel like it's almost criminal to play without Vampire Nocturnus, with him you can go from a pretty underwhelming board state and suddenly you have lethal. It DOES mean you have to change the way you build you deck some, but I'm not really sure how many non-black cards you want to play anyways tbh. Dusk Legion Zealot is a great addition to the deck. Vampire Lacerator is another card that almost seems like an essential. He comes down the first turn, and can sometimes start swinging in for three damage on turn two.
Here's my current list, having a lot of success in testing.
Been messing with this deck, it performs pretty decent. I think that the strength that vampires has over other tribal decks is that it can bounce back from disruption pretty easily. Kolaghan's Command and Liliana, the Last Hope help get stuff back from the graveyard, Sorin puts tokens out consistently, and Vampire Nocturnus can just make so much power out of nowhere. Thoughts on the list?
The basic idea of this deck is to ramp up to seven mana, cast Enduring Ideal, then lock your opponent out of the game. Here is the basic overview of some of the possible card choices:

Peer Through Depths It pushes all of the bad stuff to the bottom, and let's you get either Enduring Ideal or Seething song so that you can get your Ideal off as early as possible and avoid the fluff. Thirst for Knowledge Magma Jet Compulsive Research Telling Time Serum Visions Drawing blind without the option to shuffle is bad in this deck. I'd run Sleight of Hand over this. Dark Confidant "Oh look at my top card! It's Enduring Ideal. I'm now at thirteen." Bad in decks with expensive cards. Sleight of Hand Keep what you need and push the enchantments to the bottom. Sounds good to me. See Beyond I've played this one for a while, but I've mostly replaced it in my lists with the next two cards. Augur of Bolas - He blocks, he finds a card run it bro. Court Hussar - Same as above, but better. This one can get crucial lands and artifacts.
The Combos
This deck's goal is to cast Enduring Ideal to search for the following: Form of the Dragon This is how we win. Dovescape/ Meishin the Mind Cage This is how we lock the opponents out of the game. Pyrohemia/Near-Death Experience: This is still in testing. I actually came up with this one myself. With Form of the Dragon out, just grab these two and at your upkeep burn yourself and win. ONLY go for this once Dovescape is out.
Oblivion Ring is good removal and can be tutored with Enduring Ideal in a pinch. Dismember/Remand/Path To Exile: Sometimes you just need to buy some turns. The Ramp
Closing notes:
This deck isn't perfect and it's quite possible that a "perfect" version wins in a totally different way. Innovation is really important. Play a crazy win con. Use that draw spell that nobody else does. Who knows? It may end up winning big.

Thirst for Knowledge
Magma Jet
Compulsive Research
Telling Time
Serum Visions Drawing blind without the option to shuffle is bad in this deck.

The Support
Oblivion Ring
Remand
Dismember/:)Path to Exile
Condescend
Cancel
Mana Leak
Broken Ambitions Condescend is almost always better
Repeal
Go for the Throat
Doom Blade
Boomerang
Echoing Truth
Into the Roil
Lightning Helix This can kill a lot of creatures early and gain you some life so that you can get that Ideal out.
Oblivion Ring is good removal and can be tutored with Enduring Ideal in a pinch. Dismember/Remand/Path To Exile: Sometimes you just need to buy some turns.
The Ramp
Seething Song It's banned. Unfortunately.
Pentad Prism
Azorius Signet and other Signets.
Coalition Relic
Everflowing Chalice
Mind Stone
Lotus Bloom This used to be a must play, but in my oppinion it's almost a dead draw if it's not drawn in the first couple of turns. It's still an option and a decent card that is played, but I don't really like it.
Sphere of the Suns
Coldsteel Heart
Darksteel Ingot
Talisman of Progress and other Talismans.
If you play green:
Bird of Paradise
Overgrown Battlement
Rampant Growth
Explore
Farseek
Search for Tommorow
Kodama's Reach / Cultivate
Sakura-Tribe Elder
For the deck to be effective you need to cast Enduring Ideal before turn seven.
Paradox Haze can double the enchantments you get.
Seal of Primordium can get rid of problem permanents.
Here is a Link to Andre Mueller's Enduring Ideal deck from 2007. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sOfqmPhmHkA
Although the deck is not modern-legal, its a good place to start.
