I voted Golgari but I'm still really torn! I was thinking of Izzet because it has the most powerful promo rare imo, but not a ton of great support. Golgari has they best synergy with Scavenge, and can work really well with the promo card.
It looks like Rakdos and Selesnya took a huge climb since the huge spoil, what are the key cards that caused this?
I know it's not in your colors, but I've always thought that Kavu Predator and Grove of the Burnwillows was a good replacement for Tarmogoyf. Having a Grove out can get a Predator to Goyf size pretty quickly.
The text on Forbidden Alchemy does not include the words: "target player". Yet I remember hearing on the GP Baltimore coverage that somebody cast Forbidden Alchemy on his opponent with 4 cards in his library, resulting in not being able to draw a card in his draw step.
Is this correct, can Forbidden Alchemy target players? The Gatherer rules do not specify this interaction.
hey there, i was wondering why the recent lists all only run 4 snapcasters and no other creatures? is there a specific reason why teferi+fatty doesnt make the cut?
Also, I-N-S, how is the singleton dralnu working out for you? is it really better than 4 snapcasters?
I've also tried out Teferi and one fatty main deck and it's actually counter-productive of what we're trying to do. With testing Teferi I've found myself with multiple Wrath effects in hand, yet not wanting to cast them because I have Teferi out. By only having Tiago and Creeping Tar Pit we can swing for 5 a turn with a clear board.
It's all about the long game with Teachings. We can use Rest for the Weary, then flashback with Tiago for 16 life. We have the tools to beat Zoo, just a little soft to other control and combo decks.
I'm on MWS usually all day long, 8-4 M-F mountain time. But I don't play homebrews, only competitive decks. I can play the bad guy gauntlet thought to test your brews against. PM me to play or I'm always Sloan Kettering on MWS.
Are we going to get any deck lists? In Tom Lapille's last Modern article he said that deck lists will give Modern some momentum again. But where are they? They feature matches all but 2 I think feature some sort of Zoo deck. Maybe this says something about the ban hammers. But I would like to at least see what every one brought.
I don't really get the calling for banning of Splinter Twin. I get that it's a combo deck enabler. But it's a turn 4 win deck. That's the definition of what WOTC said the Modern format should be. Disregarding inconsistent shenanigans like Simian Spirit Guide and the likes.
As a Twin player, I'll advocate that early discard wrecks the deck pretty fierce. We usually start with one combo piece and some draw in hand, and when you discard our combo and draw we're pretty effed.
To start with it seems like you need a lot more practice at this game. Even at PTQs there are players whose skill level is far beyond yours.
I would start with Magic Online. It's an invaluable tool that improves your skill and hones your understanding of the rules. Eventually if you get good enough you can start playing PTQs online and if you get enough QPs you can play in the MOCS. The winner of each season gets an invite to Worlds.
But just know that you're going to shell out a substantial amount of money before you get any return. Hope my honesty helps.

Sardu, I like your avatar pic!

Thanks for the help.

But I don't have any Modern decks on MTGO. Same problem a lot of us are having.
