    There's no way this card can be bought out, for the purposes of a quick flip, there are just too many of them, with two reprints within the last two years. I spent two minutes on TCGP, and saw there are 351 copies from across ~40 different sellers with prices at $3 or below.

    A complete set of the Guild kits can be had for $71.94 after coupon, which works out to $14.39 apiece after coupon. Several sellers have Guilds booster boxes for about $78-$79 after coupon.

    More low value precons.

    Dimir = 15€
    Izzet = 3€ (lawl)
    Golgari = 8€
    Boros = 13.5€
    Selesnya = 6.5€

    Precons should have 2x or probably 3x the value of msrp to make them worth to buy. When these things come out the value of the cards will drop and sometimes they just crush the value. The dimir deck might retain some value if Mission Briefing follows similar trend as Search for Azcanta but I doubt it.

    Shattering Spree in Izzet is an $11 UC here in the States. Since you gave the prices in Euro's, I looked at Magic Card Market, and the cheapest mint one there in the English language is 5 Euro's. And as mentioned above, Privileged Position in Selesnya's deck in English has one copy at 9.5 Euro's, then the next cheapest copy is 12 Euro's...

    I just realized, they didn't even introduce a new mechanic this year! I'm not counting "Commander Ninjutsu", that's a single card twist on an existing mechanic.

    2011: Join forces
    2013: Tempting offer
    2014: Lieutenants (and PW's as commanders)
    2015: Experience counters, Myriad
    2016: Partner, Undaunted
    2017: Eminence
    2018: Half-assing it

    Not that the price of a card dictates its quality, but they are often hand-in-hand. Is there a single land reprint in this over 50 cents, with the exception of Command Tower ($1.50)?

    If you're printing dual lands that ETBT and have no game text otherwise, why not reprint the Temples Of series from Theros? Scry is an evergreen mechanic, and their price tags (.60-$4, with most hovering around $2) wouldn't upset the balance of pricing.Not to mention that bc these decks are not optimized (not that they should be), a scry trigger will help smooth them out to a small degree.

    Seriously, why not even a new cycle of Duals or Tri-lands that ETB tapped, unless your Commander is on the battlefield? How hard is that?

    So thankful an eBay coupon let me preorder these for only $108. At $140, $150, or a gross $160 MSRP these would be hugely disappointing.

    Yay, somewhat of an answer to Paradox Engine players who create 400 colorless mana a turn.

    I've got 25 different Commander decks, and easily in the top 5 of those decks is my Darien, King of Kjeldor soldier deck. Inspiring Commander would without doubt be among the best creatures in the deck. The deck runs several lands that inflicts damage upon myself in order to get soldier tokens, such as Nomad Stadium, Tarnished Citadel, City of Brass, and Grand Coliseum.

    I already GLADLY do damage to myself, just to get a token.

    With Inspiring Commander out, I not only get my token, but he also 1) negates the damage I'm doing to myself, AND 2) I get to draw a card, White's notorious weakness? All while also possessing the relevant creature type? Not to mention a decent if unspectacular toughness. Yes the CMC is higher than that of Mentor of the Meek, but I'd take this guy over Mentor any day of the week in this particular build. This guy is amazing in the right deck.

    Another day, another sale. This one seems to be a dig at the upcoming Amazon Prime day. Anyway, 15% off a minimum $25 purchase by using code PRIMOSALE. Ends at 11:00pm PACIFIC.

    You can pick up a Commander 2018 set for just under $99 (remember, MSRP of these went UP, to $40 this year), or plenty of Core 19 boxes in the $75-$78 range.

    I wonder how much these will go for? I remember Jace from last year selling for around $50 the week of its release, rapidly dropping to $35 and now they're about $17 each, which is cheaper than buying it with the box set, being 6 cards for $165+

    Where are you getting your prices from? Cheapest they can be had individually on TCGP is over $330 for the 6.

    It's interesting that they chose Nissa, Vital Force and not Nissa, Steward of Elements, considering the latter is newer.

    Possibly bc Nissa, Steward was in the 2017 SDCC set. 2018's Chandra and Gideon were in 2017 too; maybe they felt duplicating 3 out of 5 this year was just too many?

    They are put up for sale on Hasbro's website in limited quantities after SDCC a few weeks/month later

    Provided they aren't too extortive in price, I'll be there with bells on to order one.

    Depends what you consider extortive I guess. Last year's SDCC was $165.99 on the Hasbro website, plus $9.95 shipping, then tax on top of that. For me it was $186.50 delivered. Last year's set did come with 6 cards instead of 5, and also an exclusive poster of Bolas.

    EDIT: just clicked the link in OP's post, says these are convention priced at $99. IIRC they're always a little more expensive online (not just shiping costs, but the base price itself), perhaps to make the Con-goers feel like they're getting a better deal. Just a guess, but I'd estimate these go for $110-$12o on Hasbro.com, plus shipping and tax on top of that.

    because turning someone into an animal doesn't leave a corpse

    How do you know? There are a lot of things you can do that leave corpses...

    Because transmogrify is an actual real word, meaning to change or greatly alter something. Leaving a corpse wouldn't indicate something was changed into something else, but rather something replaced something else.
