I agree on Mizzium Morters the card is simply a blowout when overloaded, it makes me want to splash blue to negate it, just for the sheer pleasure to see it fizzle.
I personally love this card whether it be in a mono green shell, running a couple copies of Citadel or in a Jund package. Seems like the debate on whether she is good in a three color package is settled with many Jund lists running 4x of her. The card simply must be answered and untapping with her in play is usually such a big tempo swing.
Just mentioning this as I looked at some of the recent Qualifiers on SCG and she is popping up all over the place.
I really have only ran her in a mono green package, anyone out there playing a JUND list care to chime in on how useful she is.
I really like this card especially at prices as low as he is, flipping high cmc's on your opponent is fun. There is a reason he is higher on modo, then paper.
I like the Epic Experiment as it typically will win the game if cast for 10 plus. It rolls storm so fast and you can place the spells on the stack how ever you want. Even time spiraling twice or more sometimes. I think with the six wishes, a main deck kill con is not necessary. But I am looking for side board improvement, perhaps a useful target for burning wish.
I guess three Volcanics would easily be fine due to the fetches. Also totally forgot about past in flames. Would you recommend it main board, or a wish target?
Recently I bought both a paper and MTGO High Tide deck as it reminds me of my long ago vintage days when I used to play Palinchron, Sapphire medallions, copy artifacts, howling mines and time warps along with the P9.
All I can say is many thanks to Feline who's detailed the intricacies of the High Tide deck in its current form. I have always been wanting to mess up the land base with red since I started playing it even realizing it would make it susceptible to wastelands. Well after looking through the instants and sorceries available for the colors, I decided Epic Experiment was worth a try as it synergizes well with Time Sprial, resolving last and Turnabout Resolving first. Also with Burning wish a Spiral can go into the wishboard. Also placed a Bribery in the wishboard for a potential Grisselbrand target against opposition. Also put Grapeshot in the wish board as it doesn't care about Emrakul like Brainfreeze does. Played it only twice on MTGO but was hoping everyone here could perhaps critique the deck for me and offer suggestions.
